Nicole left just before Ryan returned.

When he returned, he took off the red suit he was putting on and changed into something else.

Hm. I wonder if he's going to repeat it in the morning - like I demanded.

We left for the marriage classes afterwards and when we arrived, the lessons had already commenced.
