Alice almost had healed completely but was she really healed? Yes from body she had but not from her mind and heart. The way Ezekiel was making sure to do anything for her to acknowledge his presence had started disturbing her peace of mind now. She thought she could leave him, maybe reject him or maybe ask him to withdraw the mark but instead the moment she opened her mouth to ask the man such a thing she stepped back and left the place without communicating him. She knew it will hurt him, and that was what she wanted him to feel especially after how he had strike her where even enemies would be hesitant to do so. But that decision of hers was hurting her more than what she wanted him to feel. She couldn't let go off him, she couldn't leave him and she knew she would never be able to live without him.
