Forty-Four: Sloane

"Sloane, dear," My mother called out to me, and I moved to her side. "Can you please go and fetch me my reading glasses?"

I widened my eyes at her.

Wolves didn't need glasses, and everyone in the room knew it, but no one said anything. My father turned to her with a skeptical look, but she refused to acknowledge him as she raised her eyebrows, expecting a response from me.

Had her glasses even existed, it was something that one of the servants could have easily done, but knowing that my siblings had somehow convinced my mother to help me get out of the room and keep Ethan distracted motivated me to get this done and do it quickly.

"Of course, mother. I'll be right back." I said, sliding past my father's chair and making my way out of the room.

"Ethan, why don't you start? Tell us something about yourself." Ellie ordered as the door closed behind me.

As soon as it did, I took off, ignoring the maids, guards, and servants as I sped past them. I was on a mission and refused to be distract
