Chapter 2 Gabriel

Gabriel's POV

I woke up with strong arms wrapped around me and a warmth underneath me. Confused, I pulled my head back just to see Malaki sleeping under me.

I looked at the clock sitting next to my bed to see it was 8:30. I looked at my door, curious to know how he got in here.

I know I didn't open it. I went to sleep after laying here way too long. I sat there staring at him. I wanted to curl back up next to him. Nuzzle my face into his neck and wrap my arms around him.... But I was hurt. So instead I climbed out of bed then grabbed my stuff to go take a shower.

He completely ignored me yesterday just like I knew he would. It was exactly the way it was before we even left. Him sitting at the far end of the table. As far away from me as possible.... Never looking at me, not even once. It was as if I didn't exist again.

He never even bothered to call or text me the whole evening. I have no idea what he even did last night. All I know is I went to sleep after laying in bed for hours awake.

I came back into the room and was surprised he was still laying in my bed sleeping. I closed the door, making sure it slammed closed loudly. He jumped up, looking around quickly before his eyes landed on me.

He let out a breath before letting his body fall back and his head hits the pillow.

"Goddess, did you have to slam the door that loud! You almost gave me a heart attack!"

He said, as he ran his hands down his face.

"I'm going to the office to see if Mr. Brooks has called our fathers yet. Are you coming with me?"

I said as I set my stuff down, then hung my towel on a hook so it could dry.

He looked over at the clock then sat up.

"Let's go get breakfast first. I'm starving!"

He said before grabbing his clothes and pulling them on.

"I want to get this shit done so we can get out of here! I want to go home."

"But we just got here! I was hoping to hang out with the guys again later before we left."

"You hung out with them yesterday. From the moment we got here until whatever time you broke into my room!"

"Broke into your room? I wouldn't call it breaking in, I was coming in to sleep with my mate!"

He said as he wrapped his arms around me from behind then pressed a kiss to my neck.

The stupid mate bond and my stupid body reacted to him and I found myself leaning back against him as I closed my eyes.

His hand roamed over my stomach and chest as he placed open mouth kisses along my neck.

I finally managed to snap out of it, then grabbed his hands and unhooked him from myself.

I walked away from him then grabbed my wallet and phone off the table and placed them in my pockets.

"Fine, let's go!"

I said without even looking at him and walk to the door.

I could practically hear him smiling as he hurried out the door behind me. I looked down surprised when I felt he took my hand in his. His fingers lacing together with mine as he walked down the hall next to me.

I looked at him just to see him smiling as he looked forward.

I glanced around, wondering if anyone could see us. But I didn't see anyone, at least no one we knew.

His phone went off as we approached the cafeteria and he let go of my hand to grab it. He laughed as he looked at his phone before slipping it back into his pocket and grabbing the door.

"What's funny?"

"The guys were wondering if we were joining them."

He said as he held the door open for me. And sure enough, everyone called out to us as soon as we walked into the cafeteria. I felt my face turn red and shook my head at the idiots.

Almost every one of them stood up and started screaming at us, acting like little school girls that had their favorite crush just walk in the room.

Everyone in the cafeteria started looking around to see who walked in, almost expecting a famous person or something but looked confused when it was just me and Malaki.

"I'm glad you guys finally realized how awesome I am!"

Malaki said loudly with a smile on his face as we approached them.

Malaki reached up and caught the hash brown that was tossed at him then popped it in his mouth.

And of course, I watched as he walked over toward Jimmy, at the far end of the table where there was no room for me and heard Alex call my name as he scooted over and made room for me.

At least it doesn't hurt as much this time like it did yesterday. I guess I'm getting used to it and slipping back into the way things used to be. I thought to myself as I sat down next to a smiling Alex.

"Oh my gosh! You totally missed everything last night!" Alex said laughing.

"Dude we totally pranked the girls, we snuck into their rooms and super glued these little rubber dicks all over their rooms.

Man Amber was pissed! She walked in on Malaki and he had to climb out her window."

Jimmy said laughing.

Yes we have girls on campus here. There's a small section at the other end of campus for all the girls who think they're going to be lunas.

Luna training... Most of the girls there are stuck up.

"It wasn't even funny! That girl tried to pull my damn pants off!" Malaki hollars across the table to Alex who was laughing.

"That's because she was trying to get more of that diznick!" Jimmy said laughing even harder.

"Man she probably was! That girl's been trying to get more of your dick since she last had it!"

Alex said then I looked down at my hands. I know I'm not his first, but it still hurts to hear. Especially knowing he had sex with her even after he knew I was his mate.

That was the hardest for me and hurt more than when he physically hurt me. That took me a while to get over. I almost left school because of it.

It's something I haven't thought of in a while, and hearing it being brought up again is like pulling the bandage off an open wound.

"I'm going to grab some food."

I said as I stood up. Wanting as far away from this conversation as I can get.

My chest aches as I grabbed my food. I walk forward, sliding my tray along the way as I made my way toward the register. I wasn't even paying attention, I was in my own little world as his tray collides with mine. It startled me and I jumped, quickly looking to see who it was, just to see Malaki looking at me with a sad look on his face.

"Are you okay? You don't seem yourself."

I looked at him for a moment before looking away and walking toward the register.

"I'm fine." I said as I handed the lady my card.

"His food too." I said to the lady before she swiped my card.

"Thank you!" I said as I took my card and grabbed my tray before walking away.

"Wait a minute!" Malaki said as he set his tray down at the closest table near us. He grabbed my tray then set it down next to his, before standing in front of me.

"You're not okay. What's wrong?"

He said as he reached up and gently cupped my face. His thumb lightly stroked my cheek.

I almost melted into that touch. But I remembered where we were and didn't want him to feel stupid once he realized he forgot. So I stepped back away from him.

He looked at me then sighs before stepping forward and grabbing my hands.

"What's wrong? Why are you walking away from me?"

"Because I think you're forgetting where we're at. Your friends are over there."

I said as I nudged my head in their direction. He looked back at them before looking at me and his eyes closed as he lets out a breath.

"I didn't realize I was doing it.... I'm sorry! I wasn't doing that on purpose. I was just caught up in our friends...

I wasn't trying to ignore you or push you away."

He said before pulling me toward him and wrapping his arms around me. I stood there frozen, unsure if I should hug him back or not. I don't want to upset him or make him look stupid in front of his friends. I looked toward them to see every one of them looking at us confused.

"They're looking at us." I whispered as I tried to pull away. He pulled back but held onto me as he looked back at them. He looked at them for a moment, his eyes raking over each face before he looked back at me with a sad look on his face.

"I love you Gabriel!"  He said before he moved forward and pressed his lips to mine.

His left hand held my face as his right arm snaked around my waist and pulled me against him. His tongue slid into my mouth and I felt myself melting into him. My eyes closed and all I felt was him. My heart was pounding, like it was going to leap out of my chest.

I couldn't believe he was kissing me in front of them. In front of every single one of our friends. I heard a couple gasp coming from that direction and a few around the entire cafeteria as well.

Those gasp came from other Alphas in training who just witnessed two Alpha's kissing. He sucked my lip into his mouth as he ended the kiss before pecking my lips once more. He lightly caressed my face as he looked at me.

"I'm not embarrassed to be with you, I'm not embarrassed that you're my mate. I love you so much!" He said before he turned to face the room.

"Everyone, I'd like to introduce you to my mate, Gabriel, who will soon become the next Alpha of River Pack!

Yes, you heard it. We're both Alpha's, and we're both mates.... I love this man with all my heart!"

He said loud and proud as he looked around the room. Trying to make sure he made eye contact with every Alpha in training that was in the room.

I looked around the room nervously and saw so many different reactions. I saw shock, I saw smiles, I saw the look of disgust on several faces. Including some of our friends.

Specifically Jimmy. He looked at us with so much disgust and hate, then he suddenly stood up.

"You guys are fucking disgusting!"

He said before he stormed out of the room.

"And you're a fucking asshole!"

Malaki yelled as he flicked him off.

"Anyone else disapprove? If so you can fucking kiss my ass! Because I love this man right here!"

He said before he turned toward me and pressed his lips to mine again. He wrapped his arms around my waist and squeezed me as he lifted me up.

I looked back at the table our friends were at, and was relieved to see the other two that didn't look happy were gone. He leaned down, grabbing my thighs and pulled me up higher. Making my legs wrap around him and my arms went around his neck.

I shook my head smiling as my mate carried me back to the table then sat down next to Alex.

Alex had the biggest smile on his face as he looked at me.

"I am so fucking happy for you! Congratulations man!"

He said, placing a hand on both of our shoulders and squeezing it.

I felt Malaki press a kiss to my cheek.

"Thank you, this guy right here makes me happy as hell!"

"So what changed? How come you just now decided to act like he exists when last night and earlier you didn't?" Alex said before stuffing his mouth with hash browns.

"Honestly, I just wasn't thinking. I just got back here and saw you guys. I wasn't trying to ignore him, I guess I just didn't realize how easy it was to slip back into old ways.

I didn't even realize I was doing it untill a few minutes ago. Until I saw how hurt he was. I didn't mean to do that, I love this guy right here, I don't ever want to be without him!"

He said and I swear my heart almost leapt out of my chest. I smiled at him, my handsome mate.

"I love you too, so much!"

I said as I wrap my arms around him and buried my face in his neck.

"Are you guys going to mark each other?" He said as I pulled back.

"Already have."  Malaki said as he reached up and pulled my collar down and his own.

"No shit! So it's really real! Man, congratulations you guys! I'm seriously so happy for you two!"

He said with the biggest smile on his face. The rest of our friends were in complete shock but smiled and congratulated us as well.

It felt really weird, having everyone finally know. I thought for certain more of them would disapprove. Quite frankly, I'm shocked it was only three.
