Chapter Twenty-six
The stench of blood in the air is so strong it leaves Viktor feeling nauseated. He can’t feel his right leg anymore because of the wound he took from that poisoned arrow.
“Leave her alone, it is not her fault. I was the one who chose her as my mate,” Viktor seems to become weaker as time passes but he could not bear to see Adrianus lay a hand on his beloved Esmeralda.
“Silence you fool, why couldn’t you just pick another mate from your own kind instead of this abomination,” Adrianus is too upset with the two of them and he grabs Esmeralda by her hair and dragged her five yards away from a weakening Viktor.
Esmeralda was too weak to transform because of the beating she had taken when she took them in the dungeon.
“I’m sorry my love, if I may die today my soul shall find you in the next life,” Viktor told her before he used all the strength left in him to transform.
