Ciara was just entering her room after spending time with Daniel. She had forgotten her hand fan in the gallery and before she entered, she saw Athena and Alexander entering into a room while holding each other. A smile coated her face and when she shut the door, she hurried before bumping into the hard body of her husband. "What's wrong?" Daniel asked as he grabbed her by the shoulder. His expression was filled with worry and concern. He even pulled the door open and when he didn't see anyone, he shut the door only to meet Ciara who was laughing profusely. "What the hell? Is this a prank?" Daniel asked as he came to stand before her. Ciara shook her head and patted her chest to stop herself from laughing. "I'm sorry. I was just going to tell you something but you overreacted." "Overreacted?" Daniel asked. "You fucking screamed while coming in." Ciara threw her arm around him. She didn't like to get Daniel upset. "I'm sorry, honey. I squealed because I sa
Daniel and Ciara had a really heated argument and it ended with Ciara bursting into tears and Daniel trying to beg her. She refused to sleep on the same bed with him. Instead, she took the floor and when Daniel saw that she wasn't going to go back to the bed until he left, he climbed down and lay beside her before she climbed up to the bed. Both couples were awake as their mind raced with thoughts. Ciara was seething, feeling ashamed and also feeling bad that she couldn't conceive. Daniel, five years ago, had assured her that even without them having a baby, he didn't care. She had believed him and she had ended her nights of crying to sleep. After that day, things had gone smoothly. Daniel never mentioned the idea of them having a baby and each time she tried to relapse, he would remind her that a child didn't matter as long as they were together. But time came and each time Ciara would visit his mother, she would always talk about children and how the hous
They were both standing in the middle of the room that had been quickly arranged for him and Athena kept on holding his hand and watching his face like she was studying him. Alexander was tired and he needed to sleep but it seemed like Athena wasn't ready to let him go, yet. "Want me to walk you to your room?" Alex asked with a smile on his face but Athena shook her head and smiled. "I want to stay here for a bit." Alex shrugged. "Alright, if you want. I'll take off my clothes and freshen up. Make yourself comfortable." Athena walked to the window and pulled the thick drapes open. "I own this room so there's no need for you to tell me to feel comfortable or not." Alex gave her an amused look of shock before bursting into laughter. "Still cocky as ever?" "Of course," Athena smiled. Alex shook his head before stepping into his bathroom. While he took his bath, Athena took her time to put things in order so he could sleep comfortably. She had speciall
While everyone slept, the rogues began their nightly duties. They were ten in number and two out of them carried an unconscious girl in their arms. When they got close to Antarti gates, she was dropped to the floor. Their leader sent one of them to check the gates while they planned on how they were going to break into the doors. The man they had sent to the gates ran back to report his findings. "Dimitri, there are CCTV cameras at the gate but I don't think they're in operation." The man, tall and bulky, turned to look at his messenger. "Are you sure?" The man nodded. "Positive." "Alright," Dimitri said and turned to the men who stood before him. His eyes darted to the unconscious girl. "I want you all to be really quiet when you're jumping through the gates. And as for the girl, I'll take care of her. She's very important to us." "But she's going to slow us down," One of the men bold enough to speak to him said. Only a glance was enough to sile
On getting there, Damien and Daniel found the men patrolling around but doing nothing. Damien immediately jumped out of the car and hurried to where the men stood. "What the hell is going on?! Where is their leader?" The commander turned and bowed to Damien as his superior. "He escaped before we could catch him." Damien groaned in anger. He was the one they needed more than the men he had sent to attack Antarti. Daniel joined him a few moments later. As he looked around, he saw some men who lay on the floor dead. He walked to where Damien stood. "What's going on?" "Their leader escaped before he could be captured. He's the one we need," Daniel looked back at the men that had been caught. Three were dead but the rest were alive. "His men are here. We can get information from them." Damien didn't look like he was sure. "They're strogoids, a species of Rogues that are extremely loyal to their masters. They won't disclose any information till their ma
Alexander grabbed the creature by the throat and instead of attacking, he held it close and peered. Athena was standing from afar off, shivering in fear and beside her was Ciara who's hand was on her chest as she stared in horror. The creature had the body of a little girl and she struggled violently against Alexander's hold. Athena and Ciara began to walk towards Alex as he held onto the creature. Immediately, he pushed her to the wall of the pillar and pulled her hair up. It was indeed a girl. She looked like she had just been infected and the woman gasped. "She's a girl," Alex said. When Athena and Ciara got to where Alex stood, they peered and looked at her face. "She's a little girl," Ciara muttered and pulled her eyes open. The little girl snarled again and Athena flinched. Ciara wasn't a bit affected by the girl's act. "She's not a werewolf. Look at her eyes. She just turned." Alex nodded. "I figured. I need her to be back in her normal state so I
Alex had suggested that they prepare a room for her and put her to bed but Athena was quite adamant. "What if she does something crazy? She's rabid!" Athena protested. Ciara stood by the door smiling as she watched them banter on if they should lock her up or clean her up. Alex walked to her and held her face. "Look at me, Athena. Trust me. I've read her enough to know that she's harmless. She's only rabid because she just turned and is still filled with fear and confusion. The only thing in her head in her werewolf state is to attack anything and anyone she sees in her way," "But how was she able to find herself in the palace to attack me!" Athena cried. "She was manipulated, Athena. Whoever sent her toyed with her mind so she came here probably because she was told that you want her dead." Athena shook her head. "I can't, I really can't," she said and walked away from him. "Athena, please? I'm sure of what I'm saying. Consider the fact that she's awa
"She's awake!" Damien cried and immediately hurried to the bed to hold her down but Ciara was there to block him from moving. "You fucking wait!" Ciara said as she glowered at him. "Alex told you it was fine but you keep being insistent. Step back," Damien was breathing heavily but he stepped back anyway. Athena sighed as she watched him leave the room. "I don't know what's come over him," She said. Alexander, Daniel and Ciara exchanged knowing glances but did not say anything. The little girl was staring at them all in horror as she tried to place where she was and when Alex turned to her, she immediately moved away from him and cowered in horror. "Hey," Alex said in a gentle voice. "I'm not going to hurt you, okay?" The girl's eyes were as large as saucers and they held doubt. She didn't seem to trust him. "Who are you?" Alex, as he stepped closer to the bed where she lay on, introduced himself. "My name is King Alexander, Alpha of Blue moon pack,"
