Adam pushed his empty plate away and smiled sarcastically at Jenna.

“Did you really think I'd allow you to run off to warn her and her father, Jenna? Did you really think I was that naive?”

“I... No. If you don't let him, he won't know anything, so you can tell me.”

“So, Jenna, don't tell anyone about what we're talking about here. It would be a lot of work for me to manipulate your mind so that you can't write anything else.
