Anna got out of the bath and put on her old clothes, then went to Ian's room. Adam was just coming out, and winked at her, before heading down the corridor towards the stairs. She watched him until he disappeared from sight, and then entered her son's room. He was rummaging through his closet, and as soon as he saw her, he smiled happily at her. “Mom... Did you bring me any swimming trunks?” “No, my son. But Uncle Adam must have arranged one for you. He always thinks of everything.” Anna said bitterly and angrily remembered what he had said. “If he hasn't, you can go into the pool in your shorts anyway.” She said and started looking through the drawers of the closet, and as soon as she found it, she swung it in the air at Ian, who tried to catch it out of her hand, laughing at the joke. When he finally managed to catch it, he threw it on the bed. “After lunch, will you still let me play in the pool with the children who are coming?” “Why wouldn't I?” Ian thought. “I di
“You know, Anna, I always believed that you were someone devoid of jealousy. It seems I was wrong. You were very mean to Bonnie. I've learned that she'll have the scar on her face forever, unless she has plastic surgery, which I know she can't afford...” “You can pay for this procedure, if you have pity on her. But I don't regret it, and I'd do it again, and I'd do worse. No one who threatens my son will go unpunished.” Anna said without looking at her. “I'm not defending Bonnie. I don't even like her. You're very nervous today, and that's understandable. I just wanted to make fun of you. It's obvious that you need to practice fighting. You were getting beaten up a lot. I did jiu jitsu, and I recommend it. Our motto is minimum effort with maximum efficiency... And in addition to self-defense, our bodies become stronger to withstand the onslaughts of werewolves.” Anna looked at Kate for a few seconds, before lowering her gaze to her drink. “I don't intend to be attacked by
They remained thoughtful and silent, as if they didn't know what else to say to each other. “I'm going to try and get some sleep.” Kate said, knowing that her presence was not wanted, and left. As soon as she was out of sight, Anna turned to Lory. “What's going on?” “What do you mean?” “I can see how sad you are, and Alexander too, is not well.” Anna saw Lory's eyes fill with tears, and then they streamed down her face. She bent down and spoke to the boy who had approached them curiously to go and play with the other children. This aroused Anna's suspicion. It must have been a little werewolf that Adam had sent to keep a close eye on them. “Lory, come in with me. Come and see my room.” She said, and took her hand and led her up the stairs and down the corridor to her room. As soon as Lory sat down on her bed, Anna sat down next to her and took her hand. “You can tell me, Lory. I'll do whatever it takes to help you.” “There's nothing more to be done.” She said
Anna looked at Ryan with a cutting gaze. “Adam would never abuse my trust like that.” Anna said and hurried off. She arrived at the edge of the pool and crossed her arms as she stared at Adam enjoying some joke between them. She stared at him with such penetrating fury that he seemed to notice and intuitively turned to her. He was wearing sunglasses, but his smile was debauched. “Throw yourself over here, Anna.” He invited, raising his arms. “I need to talk to you. Now!” Adam turned to the men, and they all started laughing. “What's the punishment for a woman who talks like that to her superior?” Adam asked them. “None! She's Ian's mother.” Caricature said, before the other werewolves started giving her embarrassing ideas. Adam turned quietly to Anna. “Didn't you have an appointment, now?” “I'm not leaving until I talk to you.” Adam swam to the ladder and emerged dripping from the pool, grabbed one of the towels that were folded nearby and dried himself off.
“You were very generous with Bonnie, who dared to threaten her own son. What Alexander did, around her, is not significant.” “Alexander did it for Bonnie, Anna. He defied me out of loyalty to her. And she's going to die. I sentenced her to death years ago, and she doesn't even know it. But for now, she's still useful. “And Alexander has no use?” “I'll never trust anyone who betrays me again, Anna.” She understood from his tone of voice that she was included in this list of untrustworthy people. “I agree to pay your price for Alexander's life.” Adam drank some more of his beer, then looked at her amused. “Then you should know that I will spare Alexander's life, but he will no longer be one of my men who hangs around my house. He will serve me outside.” Anna stood up and took a deep breath. “So be it. Now, I'm going to my other appointment.” She said and took three steps, before Adam called her back. “Sit down, Anna. We haven't finished talking yet.” Anna fel
“Are you going to keep recording our 'shagging'? I'll try to be less receptive than the other times.” “Yes, Anna. I'll record them all. Max will enjoy seeing his wife pleasuring herself with another man. But he's fooling himself if he thinks you won't reciprocate. Do you remember the screams and the words you said to me? I bet Max would have been shocked. You're a wild cat, Anna. I have no interest in taming you, because I enjoy it, but don't you dare scratch me, or the consequences will be far worse than your plans for Sarah.” Anna knew it was a threat, and felt tears leaking from her eyes. She felt like telling him that she wouldn't let herself be used with narcotics ever again, but if she did, he would know that someone had told her, and he would punish her one by one from his list of suspects. So she stared at him coldly as tears streamed down her face. “I'm sorry...” Adam said, sounding genuinely sorry. “I've discovered things about myself because of you that I hate. I
Anna approached and he squeezed her hand. “But... You're a girl! I don't think I was given the right orders...” Anna smiled and let go of his hand. “I could say the same about you.” She said good-naturedly. He laughed and looked at the men who were carrying Sarah with her hands tied behind her back. They got into a pick-up truck and Adonis drove discreetly to a secluded spot on the farm. Anna admired the scenery, remembering that Allister had wanted her to be heir to that place and that, for a while, she had lived a life with Allister there. They had children and grandchildren, and they had grown old together. But it had only been a dream. A dream that would have become a nightmare if it had come true. She would never forgive herself if she gave love to the man who had her family exterminated. And that, Sarah was behind, covered with a tarpaulin, along with some of the instruments of torture that Anna intended to use. In front of them, there was a black car full of
Anna wasn't surprised. For years, he and Adam had been battling to unite all the countries into just one faction. “And you haven't dated in all that time? You haven't told me about your girlfriends.” “I'm dating a young woman. At first I didn't want to, I was looking for an older woman, about forty or fifty, but she kept coming after me, begging for my attention, and my comrades were already starting to annoy me with their jokes, so I picked her up, took her to my house and blew my penis on her for a whole day. The only reason I didn't stay all night with her was because it was my shift. But when I got back the next morning, she was still there waiting for me. She washed my clothes and looked after the house. So since that day I've been leaving things that way. But I'm very suspicious of this interest. She's the daughter of millionaires. Which I didn't think I'd ever like, but I ended up liking, because even though she receives invitations from the neighbors, wives and girlfri
