Once again, the family fell into silence. Cyril smiled to himself, but his expression was uglier than crying.

"It's my fault, all my fault. I've harmed so many people. Turns out, I'm the one who's a complete joke," he murmured softly, followed by some unclear words no one could understand.

Melody could see that perhaps due to the tremendous shock, his mental state had become somewhat abnormal.

"Mel, it's up to you how to handle this. You have the final say," Linette said, her eyes slightly red.

Although she felt guilty towards Cyril, a mistake was a mistake, and she couldn't shield him. She didn't want Melody to feel disheartened, either.

Cold determination flashed in Melody's eyes as she stated decisively, "He broke the law and should face legal consequences."

She was determined to send Cyril to the police station. And so, she called the police in front of everyone.
