"Christopher Bolton, have you gone insane after getting stabbed?"

Melody walked to the bedside and glared at him.

"Didn't you say that you would be responsible for me? Are you denying it now?" said Christopher.

Melody suppressed her anger and the urge to throw the man out of her room while looking at his face.

"When did I say that? I only promised to help you when you need it."

"Hmm… They sound the same to me."

He lifted the blanket and lay down on the bed.

"What if my condition worsens at night? If I am here, you will be able to take action at once," said the man. He sounded so convincing, like it was going to happen.

Seeing that Christopher was not going to leave, Melody decided to let him be. It was not too late to settle the score after he recovered from his injury.

She put out the light, walked to the other side of the bed, and lay down.

She looked at the man lying beside her and said, "Stay where you are, and don't come near me, or I will kick you out of the bed."
