Olivia stepped out of the kitchen just then, poking her head eagerly into the drawing room before being left stunned. "Oh… you're alone, Ms. Williams? Where's Chris?"

Jasmine smiled politely. "Upstairs. He has things to do."

Olivia frowned. "That brat… Our guest is still here, and he left?! Where's the chivalry?!"

"It's fine, Mrs. Bolton," Jasmine said, shaking her head understandingly. "It's just the first time we're meeting—we can take our time to get to know each other. And actually, I have things to do myself. I'll try your cooking next time."

As Jasmine picked up her handbag and got up, Olivia thought her guilt could kill her right then. "I'm so sorry—that brat's always been like that. Please come again, though. I'll cook you something nice!"

Olivia kept smiling even after seeing off Jasmine, satisfied from the bottom of her heart.
