Smiling, Levian pinched Melody's cheek and said, "Don't worry. Just spend some quality time with the boy—I have stuff to do at my club, so I'm leaving."

Melody saw him off exasperatedly and drove to Albert's workplace.

The man hurried into his car, looking as happy as a labrador when he saw her.

"Mel!"

Melody patted his head. "How's work? A Massican restaurant just opened on West Street and the reviews are good. Why don't we try it?"

"Actually, I'll pass." Albert blinked at her, leaning against the car door. "Let's take a stroll down Gastro Lane. Reviews on Facebook say there are plenty of stalls offering delicious food there."

Melody raised a brow. "You'd rather eat street food?"

"Yeah. Work's been busy, so it's either food prepared by the event organizers or from some restaurant from a nearby mall. I've really had enough of fine dining and would rather have something else."

He was a manchild to the core and wanted to escape the constricting rules of showbiz whenever he could.
