As soon as the workday ended, Melody headed home.

She opened the mahogany door to find a tall, attractive man standing by the living room window.

Levian was talking to someone over the phone. His usually kind tone was tinged with coldness.

He reprimanded, "How did you do your job? I thought it was very clear that I didn't want to see that model again. Are my words being ignored? You have one last shot at this. Keep her out of my sister's sight, or you'll be fired!"

After hearing a squeak from behind him, Levian turned around to look.

His hostility and hatred melted away the moment he laid eyes on Melody.

He inquired with his gaze full of affection and care, "Mel, you've come home?"

He walked up to her and sat her on the sofa.

She asked him to join her and felt touched by his concern.

She advised, "Don't get so worked up, Levian. It's bad for your health. I know you care about me, but you shouldn't get too emotional."

"It's nothing, but those incompetent fools…forget it."
