Chapter 177 More Than An Ex-Wife

Ethan was the first to realize that Melody was fine and sighed.

Though a little perplexed, he frowned and turned toward the culprits—they were two workers carrying a huge display rack that had a sharp steel decoration placed on top of it.

It had suddenly split off and almost stabbed Melody!

"What the hell are you doing?! Why aren't there any safety measures for something so dangerous?!" he bellowed, glowering at them.

Both of them were petrified, able to tell that these were all bigwigs.

"S-Sorry! We just started work two days ago," they apologized profusely, their voice cracking under pressure. "We didn't know it would break! We didn't have time to do anything… Please forgive us…"

They looked very young as if they had just graduated from high school, leaving Ethan frowning. "That's your excuse?!"

"Forget it," Melody said just then, pushing Christopher away when she came to her senses, though it was an almost unnatural gesture. "I'm fine. Let them go."
