Benjamin felt as if his heart was stabbed by a knife when hearing his daughter's mournful cries.

He quickly reassured her.

"Don't worry, Evelyn. I will think of a way. You need to take care of yourself!"

It was a rare chance for the father and daughter to talk to each other. As Evelyn was about to say something else, a hoarse voice rang from behind, cursing.

"You're slacking off! Go and do your work now! Do you think that you are a noble lady? No one will pamper you here!"

Evelyn quickly said goodbye to her father softly.

"Dad, I have to work now. I can't talk to you anymore. Come get me as soon as possible!"

The call was ended hastily, leaving only a beeping sound before Benjamin could give more advice to his daughter.

Belinda was stunned for a while and fell to the ground in tears.

Benjamin was disturbed by her cry and chided, "Stop crying! Crying is useless!"
