The hospital doors swing open with a rush of cold air, and I push my way through, my heart pounding like a drum in my chest. I can't breathe, can't think straight. All I know is that I need to see him. Nathaniel. I heard what happened—Archer was shot, but what if it wasn’t Archer they were after?
