Whitney Mistrusts Her Friend

WHITNEY'S POV

As I drove onto the highway, from the side mirror, I saw Janet running after my car and calling my name as she waved her hand.

I was surprised and wondered why she was running after my car. I stepped on the brake pedal and slowly pulled over.

I waited for Janet staring at the side mirror as she ran toward my car.

She stopped in front of my window panting. I wound down, turned my head, and looked at her.

"Janet, what is it?" I asked as I stared at her.

"I forgot to ask you for your phone number, or any way I can contact you. You can give me your house or office address so that the next time I come to Nashville, I can come and visit you," she replied.

I was silent for some seconds as I stared at her.

"Well, I'm sorry. I cannot give you my phone number nor do I want you to visit me at my home or office," I said bluntly.

She was taken aback and stared at me in bewilderment.

"May I know why you don't want to give me your contact? I thought we are friends," she said w
