LUTHER'S POV I walked down the stairs and entered the living room. There was no one there. I stepped outside the house and my eyes swept over the front of my mansion. There was a large space between the mansion and the gate and a high fence surrounded the house. Flower beds with beautiful exotic flowers were on each side close to the fence. "Alpha, good evening," Simon, my guard greeted. I turned my head and looked at him. He was sitting on a stool close to the gate. "Good evening. Simon, open the gate," I ordered. He got up immediately and walked briskly to the gate as I headed to the garage. As I got to the garage, my eyes swept across the three cars in the garage. Two of the cars which were a Mercedes-Benz and a Toyota Camry belong to me and the third car was a Toyota Corolla which I bought for Jaya. I walked to the Toyota Camry and inserted the key into the keyhole of the car. I entered the car and started it. I reversed the car and drove throug
LUTHER'S POVI was panic-stricken as I rushed to the bed and cradled my mother's face. "Mom...mom," I called but she didn't respond. Fear gripped my heart. I touched the side of her neck and felt her pulse. Her pulse was beating. I heaved a sigh of relief and strode to the bathroom. I picked up a bowl and turned on the faucet. I ran some water into the bowl and walked briskly out of the room with the bowl of water in my hand. I walked up to my mother who was still lying unconscious. I scooped some water from the bowl with my hand and sprinkled it on her face. She spasmed for a couple of seconds before she opened her eyes. I sat on the bed beside her and gazed at her. She turned her head and looked at me and we made eye contact. "What happened?" she asked as she stared steadily at me. "Mom, are you alright," I asked with a gentle tone. "Yes, I am. Can you tell me what happened?" she asked. "I was talking to you before you lost consciousness," I replied. She was s
LUTHER'S POVFor some seconds, I stood seething in anger as I thought about Janet having sex with my father and me. I vowed to deal with her but that would be later. For now, I have to convince my mother to believe that what Janet said about Whitney having a son for me is true. I slowly sat down on the sofa and made eye contact with my mom. Tears were running down her face and I felt sorry for her. "Mom, please, stop crying. I promise to deal with that slut. For now, let's talk about what brought me here..." I paused as she cut in."If the lies Janet told you are what brought you here, then, I don't want to listen," she said with anger as she wiped tears from her eyes. "Mom, please, listen to me. Janet did not lie to me. I do not doubt that she told me the truth," I said."Oh, my goodness! Don't be so gullible. My son, despite all the terrible things I told you about Janet, you still believe what she told you is true?" Mom asked with an incredulous expression. "Yes, Mom. Janet mig
LUTHER'S POV For some seconds, I was dumbfounded as I stared at Jaya who was fuming in anger. "My Alpha, I ask again, what son are you talking about?" Jaya asked. Damn! What is she doing here? How did she open the door and Mom and I didn't hear the sound of the door. Has she been standing there for long listening to our conversation? How much of our conversation has she heard? What will I tell her in response to her question? So many questions flooded my head and I was confused. Although, I know that Jaya would have eventually found out about my son with Whitney and I even intend to tell her but not anytime soon. I will just have to lie to her. Hopefully, she will believe me. "I was just talking about my friend's son?" I lied as I glanced at my mother who was still in shock to see her. "Alpha, don't lie to me. I have been standing at the doorway for a couple of minutes listening to your conversation with your mother and the two of you were oblivious I was here listening. I he
LUTHER'S POV For some seconds, Jaya was dumbfounded and her eyes blazed in fury as she gazed at me. "Alpha, are you kidding me? I want to believe I did not hear you well. Please, can you repeat yourself?" Jaya asked. I know she heard me well but just wanted me to repeat myself and I was more than willing. "I am not kidding. I'm dead serious. I have a son with a lady called Whitney and she lives in Nashville," I said. 'So you have been cheating on me, right?" she asked with a mixture of pain and anger. I was silent for a moment as I averted my gaze and looked at my mother. She was looking distressed. "No, I haven't been cheating on you. I have been faithful to you since you became my mate," I said as my mind drifted to the numerous ladies I have slept with since she became my Luna. "You can tell that to the birds! If you have not been cheating on me, then, how come another lady has a child for you?" she asked. "Do you know when the lady had the child with me and do you
LUTHER'S POV I was panic-stricken and confused as I gazed at Jaya lying on the floor. Oh, gosh! I shouldn't have told her. Anyway, of what use is hiding the truth from her when she is bound to know sooner or later? The earlier she knows that Whitney has a six-year-old son with me, the better. "Luther, don't just stand there doing nothing. Do something to revive her," Mom said in a panic-stricken voice. I jolted from my thoughts, squatted beside Jaya, and stared at her face. Her eyes were closed and she looked lifeless. I cradled her face and called her name but she didn't respond. I raised my head and saw the bowl of water I used in reviving my mother when she fainted. The bowl was just a few feet away from me. I reached out and picked up the bowl. I scooped some water from the bowl and sprinkled it on Jaya's face. She spasmed for some seconds before she opened her eyes. "Thank goodness, she has regained consciousness," Mom said as she rose to her feet and stood beside
LUTHER'S POV For some seconds, I gazed at my father who despite he now looks older with some wrinkles and fine lines was still quite an attractive man with a great muscular physique. I think he has grown more muscular over the years and was way more muscular than me. I must say I secretly envy his intimidating physique. I want to be as muscular as he is and has been working out vigorously over the years. Although my physique has improved significantly, it can't be compared to that of my father. My eyes swept over him. He was wearing a tight-fitted green polo shirt that accentuated his muscle with black jeans. On his feet were a pair of matching black sneakers with white stripes. Jaya and my mother greeted him and he responded with a nod. "Luther, have you suddenly gone dumb? I ask you one more time, what son were you talking about?" Dad asked as he gazed intently at me. I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me that my dad will disapprove
LUTHER'S POV For some seconds that seem like an eternity, my father stared at me in disbelief. "Luther, is the Whitney Stanford different from the one I know?" Dad asked with shock in his voice. "No, Dad. She is the same Whitney Stanford that you know," I replied bluntly. "Do you mean the Whitney Stanford that was my former maid that ran away from home?" he asked with an incredulous expression. "Yes, Dad." "Are you out of your mind? What the heck are you saying? How could Whitney have a baby with you? That is not possible," Dad said with disbelief. "Dad, I know you are in disbelief. I was also in disbelief when I got the news just like you and Mom when I told her. She even fainted when I dropped the bombshell," I said. My father was silent for a moment as he gazed at me in utter perplexity. "Luther, are you sure you are alright? I hope your distress has not affected your mental health," he said. "Dad, there is nothing wrong with me. I am alright," I said. "How can
