/Selene’s POV/

Three weeks later, a month after the dreadful night I slept with my enemy. I was angry and disappointed in myself for making such a grave mistake but I've been able to talk myself out of it. I couldn't have known that he was my parent's killer, so I've stopped beating myself over it.

“Tring, Tring.” My phone rang and I quickly picked it up after seeing the only mother's figure I had displayed on my screen.

“Hi Selene, I just want to inform you that I won't be able to make it home tonight, we have a lot of emergencies to keep up with, but I promise I'll be back before you wake up, just make sure you close every windows and doors, although if something's going to happen, I'd be informed beforehand.” She muttered.

“Okay, no problem. I'll close everywhere up, greet Xander for me and make sure you save a lot of lives today.” I persuaded and I heard her angelic chuckle from the other side.
