Athena’s Explanation

/Selene’s POV/

“Atlas,” I whispered in shock as fear draped over me like a thick cloud of a blanket, quickly ducking my head down in time before he saw me, my orbs clashed with the driver's in the rearview mirror, but he pressed his lips tight but gave me worried look asking if I was fine silently, I gave him a firm nod to answer his question.

I hoped they hadn't gotten to the motel I lodged in, I started bouncing on my knees, my body trembling as I feared what would happen if I was caught, I can't go back to the life I used to live, I know Atlas's plans for me would have intensified. I can't let innocent children live the kind of miserable life I lived. I was so carried away, that I was lost in the field of thought, I was brought back to reality when a veiny hand was shoved to my line of sight which got my attention and made me blink twice before frantically checking around to see if I was being stopped by anybody.
