Manipulative Man

For a long time, Luna Elena and Sofia enjoyed the party with the other Lunas of the pack. As usual, the party was not only a meeting place, but also a place to show off the wealth and glamorous life of the socialites.

A middle-aged woman approached the two of them. She was dressed in casual royal attire.

"Hello Luna Elena and Sofia, may I joined?" she asked.

"Of course Luna Elemenoire, it's a pleasure to talked with Luna of the famous pack in Alaska," Luna Elena replied.

"Ah, don't be so complimentary, you are also known as the most beautiful Luna in Alaska," Luna Elemenoire chimed in.

"Ah, of course, I know that. Thank you," Luna Elena replied again, blushing and confident.

Luna Elemenoire then seemed to be looking for someone between Luna Elena and Sofia.

"Um... Shouldn't Luna Camille come with you?" the woman asked, which surprised Luna Elena.

"Why do you ask that Omega? How annoying," Sofia muttered to herself.

Although Camille had become a Luna, Sofia still considered her an Omega. She hesitated to recognize Camille as her sister-in-law.

"It seems that lately she's been exhausted and reluctant to meet other people, well, that's Luna Camille. Even though I invited her to this party so she could mingle with others," said Luna Elena, trying to demonize Camille.

"Oh, well, give my regards to Alpha Arthur and Luna Camille, yes. Congratulations for their wedding and sorry that I couldn't make it this time," said Luna Elemenoire.

Luna Elena nodded, and soon the party was over. The invited guests dispersed and returned to their respective homes.

Luna Elena and Sofia waited in the room and sat down. With a few sips of drink, they relieved a little the tiredness of being too excited to dance with their friends. Making them a little drunk as well.

Luna Elena then turned to Sofia who seemed to be holding back her anger, she seemed to be hiding something from her.

"What's wrong with you, Sofia? I could tell you were thinking about something. Is there a problem?" Luna asked Elena.

Sofia crossed her arms over her chest. Of course she was still angry with Camille, that woman had such nerve with her future husband.

"Damn that Camille, I'm so angry with her, Mom. Argh! She is stupid woman. I hate her more and more," Sofia grumbled in annoyance, provoking her mother to scold Camille later.

She felt sorry for Beta Mike, the man had wanted to visit her at home, but instead had been treated badly by Camille. Although Mike actually dramatized and lied about the situation.

Her dislike for Camille grows, especially when it comes to her future husband. For her, Camille is not aware of her position until she dares to disturb her.

"I won't be able to fully understand, dear. If you don't explain to me what the problem is," Luna Elena said with a frown.

Sofia snorted harshly, her hands clenching into fists as she imagined how Beta Mike must have felt when Camille mistreated him.

"Camille kicked Beta Mike out, she lectured and scolded him for coming to the our house too often. What right does she have? How dare she do that to my future husband? You can talk about it nicely, Camille is being rude." Sofia grumbled, her face flushed with anger.

Luna Elena's eyes widened when she heard her daughter's frustration. She hadn't expected Camille to have such courage for her future son-in-law.

"She is really outrageous, how dare she say that to my future son-in-law. Come on, let's go home and see her. Let's teach her a lesson for being so presumptuous," Elena said, pulling her daughter's hand.

Her mouth itched to vent her frustration. They would not let Camille live a happy life after marrying Alpha Arthur. They would make the residence a living hell for Camille.

Sofia was happy inside, she was glad that Elena was so quick. Besides, they both liked to see Camille suffer.

Feel the consequences because you've dared to mess around, Camille,'' Sofia thought.

Meanwhile in the House Pack. Alpha Arthur had just finished his work quickly, he sat back in a chair and stretched his muscles, which felt very sore. It felt as if he wanted to go home right away, to see Camille.

He couldn't concentrate on his work because he kept thinking about his wife, he didn't know what Camille was doing right now. He only imagined her beautiful, happy face welcoming him home.

Alpha Arthur smiled at the thought of his wife. He didn't even notice Elder Jhonas entering his room.

"What happened to you? Why are you smiling? I knew you'd miss Camille," Elder Jhonas said when he saw Alpha Arthur.

The smile on Alpha Arthur's lips faded as he realized his grandfather's presence and looked up, staring at his grandfather, who had been gone for so long.

Alpha Arthur scratched the back of his neck, which did not itch. "Ah, you're good at guessing."

Elder Jhonas nodded, understanding two people in love. "Go home, meet your wife. Instead of smiling incoherently, you're smiling like a madman," he sneered.

"It will take a while. I'm afraid there's still work to be done."

"There's always tomorrow, you've worked hard enough today. Camille must be expecting your return."

Elder Jhonas was right. Among the other families, only he understood, even agreed. Alpha Arthur then stood up, put on his suit again and prepared to return to the residence.

"Alright. I'm going home first, see you later, Elder!" he said goodbye to Elder Jhonas.

Where he stood, Elder Jhonas could only be happy for his grandson's marriage. He stared at Alpha Arthur's departure until he was out of sight.

At home, Camille paced up and down, awaiting her husband's return after receiving a recent message from Alpha Arthur.

Some time later, Alpha Arthur arrived, but he deliberately made no noise. He walked stealthily, knowing that Camille was waiting for him. Immediately, Alpha Arthur hugged his wife from behind.

"I'm home, Honey!" he whispered softly.

Camille was stunned and clutched her chest. Her heart nearly gave out at Alpha Arthur's surprise arrival. Still, Camille was glad he was home.

"Honey, I'm shocked. You're such a bitch!" Camille sneered, turning around so that they were facing each other.

Staring intently into each other's faces, Camille closed her eyes as Alpha Arthur's lips landed on hers.

"I missed you, I'm sorry. There has been a lot of work in the house pack," Alpha Arthur said, breaking the lip connection for a moment.

Camille nodded with a gasp.

"I missed you too. Next time, let me know when you're outside the house," Camille grumbled.

Hearing Camille's grumbling, Alpha Arthur chuckled softly as he pulled Camille into a hug.

"Camille! Where are you, huh!"

Their embrace was broken as they heard the sound of Elena's scream appearing in the doorway at the same time as Sofia. Both Alpha Arthur and Camille could only stare in amazement.

"Hey, Camille! Come here. How dare you chase away my future son-in-law. Who do you think you are to be so presumptuous with Beta Mike?" Luna Elena scolded Camille in front of her husband.

"Why are you scolding her? There's no way Camille would do anything presumptuous," Alpha Arthur interjected in defense.

"Shut up, we're dealing with a woman who doesn't know herself. Camille had the nerve to throw Beta Mike out, it's only natural that I'm angry with her. Your wife needs to be taught a lesson!" Sofia ranted.

Seeing that Camille was scared, Alpha Arthur put his arm around his wife. "No matter what you say, I still believe in my wife. Don't you dare scold her, let alone give her orders. It could have been Beta Mike who twisted the facts."

Elena and Sofia stared in disbelief. Since marrying Camille, Alpha Arthur had changed and rarely defended her.

"You've changed since that woman came along, Alpha Arthur!" snapped Elena. "That's why I never gave you my blessing. This is the result!"

Camille felt the pain in her heart again, what was her fault and sin that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law hated her so much and probably wouldn't stop.
