Ace's POV…

So shocked I got that my jaw dropped in disbelief. I'm certain I didn't hear well—yeah, that's it because there's no way in hell that Ariel would utter such nonsense from those pretty lips of her. As much as I tried to smile and play unmindful of her words, I just couldn't. The frown on my lips persisted, and my fingers absent-mindedly curled into an angry fist.

“Can I go now?” her obnoxious tone snapped me quickly from my thoughts—again, I ogled at her shockingly. Mother was right, Ariel truly has changed. She undeniably Isn't the same girl I was mated too. I thought tactfully, with Ariel glaring angrily at me.

Before I could respond to her question, she unexpectedly pushed backwards. She made a path for herself, then grabbed hold of the doorknob.

“Ariel, wait! We need to talk” I held her left wrist tightly, hoping she'll reconsider and actually have a conversation with me. “Let go of me Ace” she grunted between gritted teeth.
