With a hand placed on my cheek, I glared at my mother who was fuming in anger, her veins bulged out and I could tell that she was trying to hold herself. "What exactly did you tell Laden, oh you foolish child?" She asked, her hands moved to her forehead caressing it gently before slumping on the couch.

I watched her kick her slippers to the side, lacing both of her hands together while waiting for me to answer. "What exactly is happening?" I needed them to know that I wasn't that little child anymore which they could whip at any time.

Gritting my teeth, I forced myself to stare at her before asking, "How could you lay your hands on me?"

"Sebastian…. you" I raise a hand to halt her, not wanting to hear what she intended to say next.

"And for Laden, mother, aren't you supposed to have a little trust in your son?" I inquired, gazing straight at her.
