29 An Early Wedding

Kayla's POV

My train of thought was abruptly interrupted by the honking of a car horn. I reached into my wallet and pulled out the business card Harrison had given me.

It was an elegant gold card, bearing the name "Richard Buffe" instead of Harrison Morris on the front. Flipping it over, I found a handwritten string of numbers on the back.

Staring at those familiar numbers, I opened my phone and gazed at the contact I had saved for six years, letting out a long sigh.

"We've arrived, miss."

The taxi pulled up in front of the Westminster Villa. I handed a few bills to the driver, then hurriedly made my way to the front of the house. As I approached the door, I heard Daisy's cries from inside.

"...Mommy, I want my mommy!"

"...Can you help me find mommy, please?"

"Daisy!"

I shouted my daughter's name as I rushed into the bedroom, finding Daisy in the midst of a tearful breakdown. By her side was a woman who immediately stood up when she saw me.

"Mommy!"
