Two days later, it was my first day at work. I deliberately woke up early, dropped my daughter off at a nearby daycare, and then took a bus to the downtown magazine office.

This magazine's headquarters were based in Europe, and this branch in Gorden City was established to tap into the American market.

Therefore, the number of employees in the magazine was not substantial. Including me, there were about twenty people in total.

At nine in the morning, the editor-in-chief of the magazine, Lilian, appeared punctually. With her striking short red hair, she briskly urged all the staff members to gather in the company's meeting room for the first meeting.
