Amber's POV

"I finally found an opportunity to steal you away from Harrison," I teased as Kayla appeared at my bedroom door with the adorable Daisy.

Kayla's cheeks flushed, and there was a hint of shyness in her gaze. "Don't tease me, Amber. By the way, how's your recovery going?"

"I could probably chase down a rabbit in the woods for you right now," I chuckled, shrugging at Kayla. "I fainted that day due to exhaustion, and I'm good. You guys were just overly worried—"

Kayla shifted her gaze to my still flat belly, raising an eyebrow. "Well, now that you're not alone, our concerns aren't baseless, right?"

"Alright, alright." I raised my hands in a surrendering gesture. "Anyway, today, with the men not at home, we can have a girls' night! Think about it, Kayla, when was the last time we stayed up all night chatting together?"
