103 Harrison's Concerns

Kayla's POV

"Good morning, my princess."

I opened my groggy eyes, unable to make out my surroundings just yet, and a low, deep voice filled my ears.

"Good morning, Harrison."

Instinctively, I reached out, embracing Harrison's neck, and pressed my body against his chest.

But when the corner of my eye caught sight of the bandage on Harrison's chest, I suddenly woke up.

"You still haven't told me why you got injured, Harrison."

Faced with my persistent gaze, Harrison intentionally evaded my question. He pinched my chin and asked in return.

"Well, you haven't told me yet why you came to see me last night, my dear."

"I...," I tried to remember, finally recalling the purpose of my visit, "I just wanted to explain to you why I suddenly changed my mind about joining The Dark Night Pack. In fact, I..."
