After a few days

I was about to stand up when the door swung open and Susan poked her head inside, her face crossing with a smile. Returning her smile, my eyes landed on the envelope that she clutched while I raised a brow in confusion. “Is that supposed to be mine?”

“Yes,” She said, walking towards me while she handed the envelope to me. “Hmmm, you had a parcel sent to you and the maid gave it to me but I forgot to pass it across to you. I hope that you are not offended”

My heart slammed against my ribcage immediately when I caught sight of the address written on it. Forcing out a smile, I snatched the envelope from her immediately, different thoughts swirling inside my mind.

Did she check it?

What if she had seen it?

But if she had known that I conducted a DNA test on Sage, she would have caused a scene.

As if she knew the thoughts that were going on in my mind, she sighed. “I am sorry once again. I just placed it in my closet as soon as I received it…….”
