“Slap!” the sound resonated through the hall, provoking all the captives to tremble in fear.
It fell on Delaney's face unexpectedly, causing her to fall onto the hard concrete pavement. Knowing that she was with a child, she used her hand to protect her tummy, which made her land on her ass, flinching in the process.
“You b*tch! Are you trying to defy my orders? Now, take them off!” he barked.
Great. The slave said she should avoid getting under his eyes, and she just walked under them.
Delaney's wolf growled in her head. She wanted to kill the bastard for disrespecting her. Her fingernails also elongated, making her panic. She'd never gotten such a reaction from her wolf before, and she didn't want her to blow her cover of being a human. Hell! she still needs to keep calm until Delaney figures out who kidnapped her.
The moment her wolf was about to leap right at him, Delaney shouted. “No! Don't do that, ugh, wolfy! I can handle this. Please don't! For our baby.”
Gosh, I'm so pathetic. I don't even know how to communicate with my wolf. A few months ago, if anyone had told her she'd be thinking about how to get through with her wolf, she would have called them crazy. It's a wonder how life changes with time.
‘It's Esme.’ whispered a voice in Delaney's head.
She was so shocked. Is that… could that be her… wolf?
‘Yes, call me Esmeralda or Esme. You have babies inside you.’ with that she settled back, leaving her stunned.
Black lines appeared on Delaney's forehead. Babies?
“Are you listening? Take off the damn clothes, or I will do it for you!” the guard yelled, snapping out of my trance.
The guard raised his gigantic legs to kick her tummy, but Delaney was quick to dodge this time. Call it instinct or whatever, but they need to protect her child overcome everything. She silently stood up and began undressing.
Gritting her teeth, she marked the guard's face. If she were to kill everyone in here, he will be the first one to die.
When her clothes came off, the guard eyed her body greedily. Anyone could tell what he was thinking at that moment. The lust in his eyes was apparent. Delaney had to lower her head to prevent him from seeing the anger in her eyes.
Because of the recent changes, her body has become smoother and more delicate than before. Even her dark hair seems healthier and shinier. The dirt on it couldn't conceal her beauty. I guess that's a perk of being an immortal.
When they were all undressed, the guards made them stand in the bath area as they blasted them with cold water.
“Wash up quickly!”
As Delaney scrubbed my body, she couldn't help but think about her current situation. At first, she thought it was the best option to stay locked up since it will prevent her mates from finding her, but now that she's pregnant with Rakel's babies, she can't possibly remain in here, can she?
No, the pregnancy changes everything. She needs to get out of here.
After their soapless bath, another guard gave her something to wear before dragging her to another chamber. Delaney focuses her attention on that slave, using the mind link to communicate with her.
‘Hey, have you ever seen the person in charge?’ Laney turns in time to see her shaking her head. No.
Subsequently, after spending an hour In the room, the door opened. Delaney gasped in horror when she discovered the person in charge. “You?”
She didn't know who she was expecting to meet, imagine her shock when she saw her stepdad walking in with a smirk on his lips. Laney thought he was in prison after he killed the woman who she has always believed was her mother. This bastard used an aphrodisiac on her at twelve, using her for his sick needs.
“Don't tell me you are one of the hunters?” she asked, looking at him vigilantly as he locked the door behind him.
“Bingo! I've been searching everywhere for you, my dear. My sources inform me you've been whoring yourself with those animals, Delaney. If you are sex-starved, you should have come back to me. I'll make you feel better than those bastards. To be honest, you've disappointed me, my dear. Anyway, that won't be a problem now that I'm here.” he grinned devilishly, causing a shiver to run down her spine.
Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to face him. After all, she's no longer the weak Delaney he knew. She is stronger now. “W- what are you planning, Josh?”
He moved closer and flicked the hair from her face with a crazed look in his eyes. “That… I can tell you.” he clapped his hands and several people in white came in. They took hold of her hand, dragging her to a bed in the room's corner, binding both her hands and legs.
“Wh- what are you doing?” Delaney questioned, her heart thumping hard.
Josh sat on the bed, patting her hand. “We've been investigating options for destroying those animals and stopping them from using our females as their sex toys, just like they used you, but we haven't succeeded. So, we've come up with another idea, which is controlling our females as the very thing that will wipe out them. Tell me, Delaney, what will happen when you kill the leaders of both werewolves and vampires? What will result to the rest?”
They will be in a state of confusion, panic and… her eyes widen when it hit her. They will fight each other in other to choose a new leader!
“Ha! I'm sure you've thought it through.”
“I will never agree to do that!” That will be killing her mates.
“I know you'll say that darling, that's why these men are here. You won't be in control of anything you do. I will.” with that said, he stood up and walked towards the door.
“Wait! Is that why you captured their women? To use them as your sex toys?”
“Why? Yes, darling. The best part is that they are very obedient. Who knows, we might start producing werewolf babies. Armies that will be stronger than humans.” after saying that, he signalled them to begin, and then he left the room.
The doctors pulled out their needles and some weird looking chemicals in a bottle, preparing to use her as their testing object.
No! If this continues, she'd become a human zombie, a robot. She can't let anything happen to her babies! They are the only thing she has left. As she struggled on the bed, she realized there was only one way out of this place.
She needed to give her vampire side full control.
As if on cue, her throat burned from thirst, she had to feed. Though she promised herself not to feed on humans, if this is the only alternative out, there's nothing she could do about it. So she gave in.
She let her vampire out.
…
Five Years Later!
“Mommy! I am hungry.” a tiny voice said, tugging at Delaney's clothes. It was Ivy, her daughter.
Bending down, Delaney kissed her small, fair face and smiled. “Hold it a little more, hun, we are almost there.”
At the same time, Ivan, her eldest son, was chasing Ian, who was stuck in his werewolf form. “Stop right there, Ian! You are not allowed to run!”
“Ivan! Put on your glasses!” Iris shouted, running after him.
A sigh escaped her lips. Who would have thought that raising supernatural babies will be this hard?
It's been five years since she left her mates, and they're still in hiding. After escaping from that hellhole, killing everyone in the process, she released the slaves. However, Josh was still able to get away.
Then, in other not to be found, Delaney kept changing locations. It became difficult after giving birth to those triplets. Two-hybrid and a werewolf. Ivan and Ivy were hybrids, while Ian was a full born wolf.
Ivy was the youngest of them all. She was still finding it troublesome to control her thirst. Delaney worries she might harm the humans if not watched all the time.
“Mommy!” Ivy screamed. Her crying voice drew her out of her thoughts. She glanced over in her direction only to see her kids surrounded by crowds who were taking pictures of them.
“Shit!” Ivy wasn't good with the crowd, to begin with, the worst part is that she hasn't been fed since last night. What if she loses control and bites someone in front of so many people? Delaney panicked at the thought.
‘Oh my God! Those girls are so cute.’
‘Are they celebrity babies?’
‘Hey, can I take a picture with you?’
‘Wow, I love your puppy, can I touch him?’
The pup in question was posing for the camera, wagging its tail happily as they took pictures of him.
Black lines appeared on Delaney's forehead. Puppy? That's her son! “Hey, excuse me. Move out of my way!”
Using a little strength, she pushed the crowd away and rushed to hug her daughter. “It's okay, mommy is here.”
Ivy hugged her neck tightly, hiding her face in Delaney's chest. Meanwhile, Ivan took hold of Ian, who was in his wolf form and scowled at the crowd. “Can you not take pictures of us? It's rude!”
The crowd apologized and left after being spoken to. Delaney frowned at her eldest son. “How can you forget your glasses? You will scare the humans if they see you. You differ from them. I've told you this several times.”
As a hybrid, Ivan took her golden-green eyes, which seem to change colour depending on our mood. To prevent people from knowing, we always put on glasses. She sometimes wears an eye lens to avoid suspicion when she goes out.
“Sorry, mom.”
Huffing, Laney turned to Ian and glared at him. “And you! How many times have I warned you not to run off in public?”
Ian's wolf barked at her, giving her an innocent puppy look. With a sigh, she shook my head. She can't even stay mad at them, even if she wanted to. After kissing their faces, Delaney stopped a taxi and dragged their luggage. “Come on, let's go home.”
“Where to, ma'am?”
“T square avenue.” the moment they all entered the cab, Delaney's eyes widened in horror when she perceived blood on the driver. He's injured.
She glanced at both Ivy and Ivan and cursed silently. F*ck! This can't end well. “Ivy, no!”
Ivy leapt at the driver, her tiny fangs elongated. Ivan was also struggling to hold it in. His golden–green was now in a shade of red. Using her vampire speed, Delaney quickly caught Ivy before she could sink her teeth into the driver. When the driver saw this, he stopped the car in fear, ready to bolt out of the car. Delaney met his gaze through the rearview mirror and compelled him. “Drive!” “Y… Yes!” he sputtered, starting the car. His hands shook nervously as he kept glancing back to look at the family in the back. Hm. She's sure he has never believed vampires existed until now. She can remember a time when she will laugh at anyone who says supernatural is real. Ivy gazed up at her looking pitiful, her Sapphire ice blue eyes were filled with unshed tears. As a foodie, she was mad at me for keeping her away from her food. Ivy glared at Delaney, her arms crossed as turned to play with Ian, clearly ignoring her. Sighing, Laney playfully pinches her chubby cheek. “Ivy, you ca
He roared, "An unmated stray she-wolf in my area without my consent..."I'm not a wanderer!" says Delaney. “ I had no idea there was werewolves in the area, and I already have a mate." Delaney interrupted him before he could complete what he was saying, and she struggled to free herself, but it was impossible. The Alpha inhaled with his nose, which he sank into the crook of her neck. "However, your scent tells otherwise."In displeasure, her lips twitched. What is it about her and Alphas that she can't seem to get away from? The markings left by her mates faded over time, as did her scent, which showed she was bonded. She's practically single to all of the wolves now."Thank goodness I'm not seeking a partner." Delaney then kicked his groin with great vigour, grunted, and let go.She dashed out toward the other opening again, using that opportunity to escape, but who would have thought that she was fooling herself?I
The small child was the centre of attention for everyone. Even in their terror, they were taken aback. They've heard of people with elemental abilities before, but it's been decades. They've all been extinct for centuries. They only know about it because it is a fairy tale passed down from generation to generation. The entire room was encased in ice. She even managed to halt Alec's movement by freezing his legs to his knees. Ivy burst into tears when she realized what she had done and how the werewolves were staring at her. “Mommy! "I'm looking for my mother." Ivan moved up to hug her to prevent her from becoming even more enraged. Who knows, maybe she'll freeze everyone in the entire room. “It's okay Ivy, we'll go get mom now, but can you unfreeze his legs so we can go?” As she shook her head, fat tears streamed down her face. She had no idea how to thaw him out; it just happened. She had no idea why she froze him in the first place; all she knew was that the prospect of her mothe
By the time Alpha Jasper got to Delaney's room, he found his Beta hiding in a corner trembling from fear. Gritting his teeth, he turned to look at Delaney only to subconsciously step back. To say he was taken aback would be an understatement; after seeing her, he couldn't help but wonder, 'How is this possible?'Delaney's little fangs were extended and her eyes were a shade of red. He didn't need anyone to tell him he was staring at a hybrid - a wild, angry hybrid, to be exact. Unlike other packs, they adore Hybrids rather than killing them on the spot out of fear.He gulped as her eyes fixed on him the instant he stepped in. He has never been terrified in his life as an alpha. This was the first time he realized what it was like to feel terrified. However, after some consideration, he decided to approach her softly."Listen to me, we're not bad people; we've brought you here for your protection. Without the protection of a pack, an unmated wolf should not be in this town. Everywhere
Meanwhile, at the border! * Rakel held onto Knox, glaringly making Knox sigh in frustration. To him, the moon Goddess is punishing him for his sins by putting this werewolf as an obstacle in his life. These two weeks have been torture to Knox, he would have killed this wolf if not for Delaney, instead, he had to endure. “What kind of plan is that?” Rakel growled. “Why do I have to stay here while you go meet her?” “Because you wolves are stupid. You act before you think, and you don't have teleportation ability like I do, so remain here and cause distraction. They will be here soon.” Knox said still, Rakel refuse to let go of him. Knox took a deep breath to calm his anger. Why can't this damn wolf follow instructions? “Since you can teleport, then why don't we go together? I'll act as your shield if things go wrong. Besides, we don't know if she was here, we only smelt her scent on our way. It will take time to locate her especially if this pack has heavy defences.” Rakel retorte
Ivy, on the other hand, gathered her brothers in order to speak with them. "I saw Daddy today, I'm serious. He appeared in mom's room earlier on. That's not all, you guys resemble him to an uncanny degree."Her older brother, Ivan, snorted. “Yeah, right, we don't have a father.”“Do you think I'm lying?" Ivy snarled and huffed vehemently. "Think about it: isn't it strange that Mom has been changing location? She appears to be fleeing him. Mommy's safety could be jeopardized.”“I think dad is a bad person,” Ian muttered from the side.Ivan agreed with a nod. “We can't allow him to bully mama if he's here to bully her. However, we need to make sure he's our biological father.”“Oh, he didn't come by himself. He was with a vampire with incredible abilities! Not just that, the vampire is so cute.” After Ivy said that, the boys stared at her angrily. “You shouldn't admire the bad guy.”“We need someone's help to confirm if he's our father. Alec.” Ivan made an educated guess. "Then we must
On the other hand, Knox and Rakel were arguing about why they should share the same room. Well, let's just say Knox refused to share a room with Rakel while Rakel was giving him reasons why they should share, making Knox frustrated to the point where he wanted to pull out his hair. It seems they are bound to argue over everything, even after their newfound peace. “Get the f*ck out, wolf! Just because we have the same mate doesn't mean we should share everything!” “That's right, we don't have to share everything, but you don't understand werewolves as I do. Since we are in their territory, they might attack, so we need to be cautious–” he paused. “ Wait, do you think I'll take advantage of you in your sleep?” Knox sneered as he gave him a look. “Do you think Vampires sleep deeply like you wolves? You'll be dead before you even think about touching me.” Rakel thought about it and shrugged. “Don't worry, I despise the idea of sharing a room with you as well. I'll sleep on the couch.”
Knox and Rakel were already surrounded by the rogues when they broke free from the chain. They had trouble breathing due to their foul odour. After viewing the burns on Rakel's body, Knox glanced at him. He grabbed up the chain from the floor to use as a weapon and asked, "You good?" Rakel hissed, "I shall survive." "Let's just get this done." Knox stood there watching as the wolf lunged at the rogues, his claws lengthened. Rakel's half-crazed expression worried him for some reason because Rakel has always been laid-back, but he'd been acting strangely since learning about Delaney. Knox chose to concentrate on the matter at hand, shaking his head, so he tightened his grip on the chain and charged after him. * At East Coast Park. . “Mommy, how do I look?” Danna followed behind Ivy as she exited the room. Jasper had given the kids new clothes for the party this evening, which made Delaney uncomfortable. Jasper was clearly attempting to demonstrate that he is capable of caring f
“Ivy!!! Get down from there, right now!” A light chuckle rang out in the air as she formed an image in her mind, silently asking the dragon she was riding on to soar higher. “Catch me if you can, King. You old ass, see you on the other side!” Rounds of curses were heard behind her as King followed after her, his heart palpitating fiercely from fear. She is going to kill him with frustration! How could a single pregnant Hybrid cause so much havoc in a single day? Oh, Ivy is pregnant, you heard correctly! It's been five years now after what in the underworld. Five! Bet you're wondering what happened, aren't you? Here's how it went...thinking about what went down, King's expression turned gloomy. He intended to combine two realms and establish himself as the supreme being. His loathing for wolves, humans, and the paranormal peaked when he saw her and his uncle hugging and kissing on the street back then. He wanted to devour them whole! He fulfilled his grandfather's wishes by
One minute, Belize felt Axis kissing her and the next minute, she was standing alone back in Axis's home. Dazed, she blinked slowly to get her bearing. Soon she confirm she was truly back! She vividly felt immersed power exploding in the room before everything shifted so suddenly. Lowering herself to the ground, her hands found their way to her chest clutching it. The gaping hole is back again. When she hugged that man, King... she felt whole, complete for some unknown reason. But now the hole is back again, and it was much deeper than before! Especially with her knowing that King was in trouble. Doesn't he know who Axis was? She may have stayed with him for a day but with the level of danger she sensed within Axis... she knew he was dangerous. Her instinct is always on overdrive whenever she was around him even though she's his betrothed. She couldn't help but replay everything that happened back at the Palace in her head over and over again. From the way King looked at her, sh
She ducked to the floor hissing as she hit her head slightly. She then clutched her pounding chest with a frown on her face, why does she feel this way? Slowly, she got on her feet and peered out through the window again. When she didn't see anyone, she blinked breathing out a sigh of relief. She thought he was finally gone until she heard... “What are doing?” Her heart skipped. Instantly, she spun only to find him standing in her room! What's that his name... King! **** Meanwhile, before all this... Eliana arrived at the hidden location with King after Ivy went missing and King quickly stepped away from her whilst glancing around. “What is this place? I need to find my mate, not take a vacation in an unknown location!” King spat, his eyes going bloodshot at once. He couldn't help but feel anxious. It's all his fault! He should have gone after her immediately when she went missing. Just thinking about all the suffering she has been through these days made the veins in his fo
Meanwhile, the moment Axis left, Belize got up with the snake wrapped around her neck and began looking around. She wasn't just looking, she was searching for something... anything that'll help her memories and if not that, she wanted to see if she'd be familiar with anything. Unfortunately, it all felt new...like this was the first she was here. Belize couldn't help but think, am I really his fiancee? Is he to be trusted? She soon realised how big this place was after walking for thirty minutes with no idea whatsoever where the exit door was located. Right when she took a sharp bend, she came across something causing her to halt on her step. It was a portrait of herself and it looked old. Her frown deepened. A portrait? This could be proof that she's looking for, right? Since this picture has been here then Axis must be telling the truth. She suddenly felt bad for doubting him. He must be feeling down that she forgot about him, yet she dared to doubt him? Her hand slowly trai
Belize gazed up at him registering why he looked hurt. It's because she was his intended all along! His fiancee! She was going to apologise for forgetting him but no words came out of her. It just didn't feel right...“I've got a present for you by the way,” he muttered, getting up. “The name is Axis, Little Bee.”The frown on Belize's face deepened as she watched him leave. Axis? Why does his name not ring a bell? Logically speaking if she's his betrothed, they should have met several times in the past, and even if she doesn't recall his name, she should feel a bit of familiarity with him, right? The frown on her face smoothened out when she saw him coming as she made her mind go blank, knowing he could read her mind. Though she was clueless about everything at the moment, it doesn't mean she was stupid, she plan to start researching this place the moment her body was strong enough... She needs to find out who she is.A big black snake hung on Axis's shoulders as he walked towards
They arrived at the hideout where Pea brought Ivy minutes before she was taken by Taiga's clan. There, King could see some of his trained brotherhood gathered around the area causing his brows to crease. “What is happening?” “Your majesty we found this in the woods not long ago and this... Look at these marks on the ground,” Zaar bent to touch the burnt marks on the ground. “I've been here several times before and this wasn't here. It looks like a whip line or something...” King studied the markings on the ground and nodded. It looked like a whip mark that burnt the ground. He then collected the small black round object from Zaar to check it out. When he saw the lid, he tried to open it but got stopped by Zaar. “Majesty, don't!” “What is it?” King paused. “There is only one can who uses that item, I have no idea what it's called but I've seen it before. It produces something such as smoke. The smoke in that thing is capable of putting anyone, including supernatural beings into a
Radna. The following day, the King walked around the palace's corridors looking for something to occupy his mind off his mate. He had even blocked her out just to prevent himself from storming straight to Asteroy to bring her back. She needs space, he reminded himself. It's the least he could do after everything he had done. Everyone bowed as he passed by and covertly glanced at him to see why he was strolling through the hallways, which was unusual for him as he teleports. As if that hasn't shocked them enough, they saw him going to the Eastern Quarters, one that belonged to Lord Osiris and Lady Rayvinn. The guards were also shocked and didn't know how to react. They wanted to stop him but can't, knowing it was the King. They too wanted to rush outside to report to Osiris, but the King's stare stopped them in their tracks. “Your Majesty!” King gave them a nod before continuing on his way. Shortly after, he overheard girlish laughter coming from the wing's suburbs, which als
The Taiga clan? Shit! It's worse than she imagined! She wasn't aware that killing Taiga would have repercussions when she did so in the past. What should she do? She sighed as her thoughts wandered back to King. He wouldn't believe she abandoned him, would he? She may not know much about Taiga's clan, but the fact that they managed to enter Radna undetected demonstrates their skill. “Whoever you are, I don't understand what you're saying. Would you mind letting us out so we can talk?” A peal of laughter sounded after she said that as if he just heard the most funniest thing ever. “Now, now, sweetheart. You are lying, and we both know it. His body was undamaged, but he displayed symptoms of choking on his own blood? Only one person in the world has that kind of ability. Ha! You had us fooled for a minute, letting us think it's your darling mate did it, isn't it?” he drawled in a sing song tone. Ivy was nervous because he spoke as though they were conversing over a cup of tea ra
King first began to feel anxious. Did she really leave? Even though he had already searched every inch of his quarters, he did it again as his heart raced with panic. She did not... She wouldn't abandon him, would she? King closed his eyes, concentrated on her because he didn't want to believe it, and soon darkness began to crackle in the air and spread across the palace as it frantically looked for Ivy. He simply needed to sense her to find her because his darkness identified her as his mate. As it was already late in the evening, the darkness seemed to overflow out of him. He didn't realize the markings on his skin had a faint golden hue. Thirty minutes passed and his eyes opened. She was nowhere on the palace grounds! Although she had mentioned she would leave him if he hurts her, he didn't think she'd actually leave him. With a trembling hand, he summoned Zaar and Noreen. When they both saw flickering madness in his, they tensed. “Your Maj—” “Where is the princess?” he cut t
