Nora's POV

Slowly, I opened my eyes to see myself in what I can describe as the hospital. I blinked my tears away when I recalled all that had happened to me. This isn't the plan, this was definitely not the plan Rufus and I made. How dare he betray me like this?

The door to the hospital pushed open, and I saw my sister walk in, 

“Nora, you're awake” she rushed to my side. 

“Hey” I replied weakly, I wanted to tell her she was right all along about Bella. I wanted to explain all that happened to her, but instead, I found myself crying bitterly.

“Hey, hey, why are you crying? There's no need to cry. I'll go get the doctor” And before I could say a word, she had dashed out of the room.

A few minutes later, Mary and the doctor came into the room.

“Hello Mrs. Williams, how are you feeling now?” He asked me and I wiped my tears before nodding.

“I'm okay. Thank you”. 

“Well, I'm sure you must have noticed why you fainted by now” 

I blinked as I didn't understand his words. What does he mean by I must have noticed something? 

“Apparently not. Can you explain to me why I have fainted?” I asked him and he smiled,

“Congratulations then, you're two weeks pregnant” 

“What?” My eyes widened, my breath hitched, and my heart was racing. 

“What are you saying?” I asked properly and he repeated his comment.

Tears began to gush out of my eyes. This was the same news Rufus and I had been waiting to hear like forever. Or maybe just me, since he never cared.

“Nora, I'm so happy for you” Mary pulled me into her embrace. 

“We need to let Rufus know. I'll get you your phone” I began to search my bag for my phone, but my cry only got louder. 

“Nora?” She flung the bag away when she saw how my weeping had increased. 

“I'm sorry. What is wrong?” She asked. I opened my mouth to speak, but the words weren't coming out. My lips were trembling, I kept hitting my chest in pain.

“You mean to tell me that that bitch, Bella, slept with your husband and got pregnant for him?” Mary asked. We were home now, and I've been able to calmly explain everything to her.

Mary was pissed, even more than I was. She had always wanted to have a reason to deal with Bella, and she thinks she has found it.

“Tell me you're not just going to sit back and let the bitch take your position,” she asked, and I shrugged,

“What can I do, Mary? What can I do?” My voice cracked from the wailing and crying all these while. 

“You can start by going back to that house and taking your position as the wife. Show Rufus the pregnancy report. She isn't the only one pregnant now, you both are!” She yelled, but I didn't know if I can.

I was embarrassed, hurt, and still in disbelief. How can Bella or Rufus do this to me? The two people I trust in my entire life.

“You have to go back, Nora. Go back and show that bitch who the real boss is” 

I decided to take my sister's advice and even though I didn't know if I'll be able to look Rufus in the eyes again, I decided to go with Mary's plan.

** Two days later ** 

It's been two days since I found out about Bella's pregnancy for my husband.

He has called me countless times but I refused to pick up, I even had to switch off my phone when the calls and text messages were becoming too much.

But today, I have decided to take Mary's suggestion of going back and taking my position.

I made my way back to the house. On getting to the house, I found everywhere calm, only one security man was available, which was rare. I furrowed my brows when I noticed that the mansion was locked too, 

“Where is everyone?” I asked the security man, 

“They have gone to the church. Today is the wedding” 

“Wedding?” I cocked my head confused. 

The security man bowed his head, asking me to go to the church and I'll know. Not understanding a thing, I made my way to the church. 

As I drove, my heart was beating so fast, I cannot understand why I was panicking. When I got there, I met the rest of the security men there, they were guarding the church door. 

I stepped in only to receive the shock of my life. I saw my Rufus standing at the altar along with Bella. I stood there watching as the priest asked them to place the rings on each other's fingers. 

I didn't know what came over me, but I burst into laughter. Everyone including Rufus and Bella turned to me. 

Amidst my laughter, tears rushed down my cheeks. My heart squeezed in my chest and my fists formed a fist. 

“Really?” I said in between laughter. 

Rufus came down from the altar and began to walk towards me, 

“Nora” he called, so calmly I was almost swayed away 

“Don't call me!” I yelled. 

“Don't disrupt this wedding, Nora. You can't produce us an heir. Bella is already pregnant, she has the right to be Rufus's wife” Rufus's mother spat as she walked over to where I stood.

I was totally shocked, it seems they were all waiting for me to find out about the truth so I can get out of Rufus's life.

I had not been on good terms with Rufus's parents because I was unable to bear their son a child.

I shook my head, was there any need to tell them that I was pregnant?

“Rufus…” I turned to him and saw him looking back at me with sorry eyes. 

Was he really sorry? What the hell is this?

“You are disturbing my wedding, Nora. I know you don't want this, but can you please get out?” Bella spat, making me narrow my eyes at her.

No shame, no apology, no pity. I shook my head as tears threatened to rush down my cheeks again. 

Rufus tried to touch my cheek, maybe wipe off my stained cheeks, but I stepped backward.

“It's okay. I was surprised when I didn't see you all at home” I began as I wiped my cheeks myself.

“I was told I'll find you here, so here you all are” I turned to Rufus,

“I don't see why you should be getting married when you have not divorced me yet, Rufus—”

“Nora—"

“There's no need to speak, Rufus. This wedding can only continue after I've signed the divorce paper”.
