Her body shivered to reveal the fear, the defiance in her eyes tried to hide.
Mr. Dominic chuckled, a sadistic pleasure overwhelming him at the thought of how scared of him she was.
He would have her eventually but first, he needed to make a few points and had some matters that needed to be taken care of which will break her whole tenacious spirit completely.
He'd always loved taming the shrew and the Chase had always thrilled him above other things.
"Patience my love," he whispered even as he stood up, ignoring the pure relief that marred Maya's expression, "All good things come to those who wait. But soon I'll have you underneath me, writhing and wanting."
She gritted through her teeth, offering him another obscene choice word.
He grinned widely, " You have a guest that has been dying to see you. Play nice."
She rolled her eyes. That was the l
Xavier was almost running out of the car before he was parked properly in the apartment's garage. He Checked in with the receptionist. His name was on the list. He greeted Joyce, the middle-aged woman who was hired by most of the flat owners as a cleaner. He had stayed a few nights with his sister, so it could be safe to say he was familiar around the block. He met them waiting for him expectantly at the sitting room. His mother looked extremely stricken, almost guilty. She couldn't look him in the eyes. She feared how he would see her now? Her son that had dealt so unkindly to her not minding that she had just been recuperating from a brutal attack and now, he knew that she was a distraction to lure him and his fiancée out. To kidnap sweet little Maya, her heart clenched. She wondered if he'll ever forgive her that is if she could even forgive herself if Maya came to any harm.
He was tired, he was angry, he felt frustrated yet hope pulsed through his veins as his gaze lingered on Maya's picture. Melissa had given up on retrieving her phone at this point. She could understand. The door opened, Xavier didn't look up, from Maya's picture as his finger trailed her features. Dirty, filthy rather yet still so beautiful. The welt and the bruise had not hidden her delicate frame or her red full lips he missed nipping on. Brian came in with takeouts which he evenly distributed among the crew who immediately began a ravenous feast. It was 6:30 pm and the girls have been with Melissa since it was 2, they had skipped lunch and with the way she had sounded, the urgency in her voice, they didn't even stop to think of buying takeouts so their hunger was understandable. Xavier didn't touch the food beside him, he didn't feel like it was fair to eat while knowing Maya
"You know if she was here, we both would probably be having a fight." Xavier snorted jokingly, "I can't even remember what most of our quarrels were about but I miss all of them." Brian gave him a Curt nod, "I think most of them will be about your arrogance and how badly you spoke to me." Xavier gave him an amused look and then nodded in agreement, "Perhaps." "You are quite a tough guy, I sent all the guys who had stared at Melissa twice a hard time in high school. They had run away without looking back. Let's not even discuss the ones who had hit on her and she had introduced to me." Xavier moved closer to him conspiratorially, "I was always courteous in front of Melissa but at school, I made sure they got the message that I'll hunt their asses if I saw them even breathing the same air as Melissa's." Brian nodded at the bizarre image Xavier painted with his tale. It was almost impossible to see Xavier w
The bottle was spun, it landed on Brian. He looked around alarmed, the game seemed to be Maya-themed and he barely knew her though he thought to himself on second thoughts, he had known her enough to ask a question about her. "Truth or Dare?" "Do we even have any other option rather than the truth?" Melissa's dry cackle even as she moistened her lips made Xavier shiver. He hated whenever his sister was on edge. He recognizes that pathetic shrill in her voice he absolutely loathed but more than it, he hated the bastard who has put it there, had made them sit on the fucking floor, and had to remind themselves once again why this needed to be a win or a win situation. None of them could afford to lose Maya, mourn her. He could see Jasmine's intention with her little game. Truth or Dare? He scoffed, it wasn't pure. But damn, he didn't need pure. Nobody could afford pure else they paid a pr
No Heroes, No martyrs"You do know you don't need to do this right? I can handle this shit myself." They were just around the outskirts of the farmhouse where Mr. Dominic had taken Maya to. The perfect location, by the way, surrounded by acres and acres of land, abandoned properties, no internet connection, all in all, a real cut out from the main world. He had had all this planned for a really long time, Xavier could tell. "And let you have all the fun," Melissa flipped her hair defiantly, "Never." He turned to look at Jasmine who shrugged, not knowing why he bothered to still ask her for like the fourteenth time in six minutes. Jessica had stayed behind and she was supposed to report to the cops if things got a little too far. They were wearing earpieces to communicate with her. Much to his dismay, Brian had boarded a bus earlier and was already with
Maya gulped as the sound of the glass cup, which had been placed next to her untouched food came clattering on the ground with a loud sound. Thankful that none of the thugs who were sent to look after her didn't come running into the room to find out the source of the noise, she worked on getting the broken shard of glasses next to the rope used on her hand. Taking advantage of being broken loose from the chair she was bound to when she had wanted to pee that morning, she landed on the ground, sighing at the digging pain. Strategically placing both of her hands next to a broken shard of glass behind her, she rubbed it on the sharp edges. Wincing and suppressing a groan even as blood gushed down from her wrist as the glass cut her in the process. Her plan paid off because a few minutes later she was losing her legs from the rope too. She peered into the door p
"Hey" Xavier called as Melissa made to leave to play her part which was to distract Mr. Dominic. Buying time for Xavier and Melissa to enter inside the warehouse and search for Maya. "Don't have too much fun with this and try not to die." She rolled her eyes, "And let you live in peace without an annoying sister, oh give me some credit." She smirked, he smiled. And then she was walking into the warehouse like it was a normal place she had stumbled upon and knew she'll see her dad in, forming coy and impossible at the same time as she screamed dad so loud, Xavier winced from where he stood. "Melissa," his eyebrow was pursed in confusion as he blinked twice but there his daughter stood, looking at him blankly like she had just dropped by the house to see him since going by the news he was receiving she had evacuated the mansion with her good for nothing mother.
Maya raised her brow wondering what the dumb hoodlums, which was a punishment in itself listening to their constant tantrums were arguing about. She could hear yelling and cursing outside making her hiss, her eyes closed as she brooded on what she had just watched a few minutes ago. He had called her a whore every time yet he had gone through all this trouble to get her shackled. She wondered if this was all about his male pride which got wounded when she escaped him years ago and if it was, she was more than willing to apologize if that gets her sent home. Home, she paused. Wondered where that was, what that word meant to her. Of course, a home could be Jessica making her infamous sushi in the kitchen and singing along with Justin Beiber in her very horrible voice, making her wince and Chuckle too. Home could be threatening Jasmine with gagging so she could just stop telling her about her sex escapades
"Can I open my eyes now?" Maya whispered as she felt something around her neck. "Not yet." Xavier hollered from a distance and she grinned wondering what he was up to. Firstly he had interrupted her bridal shopping spree with the girls since it was a week before she'll finally be with this weirdo forever and now he was running around the house if the footsteps resounding against the floor hurriedly was anything to go with. "Now open your eyes." "Okay..." She first opened one of her eyes then another and smiled at the full-length mirror in front of her that showed the only thing that was different in her looks. A locket. A beautiful silver locket with glitters. She opened her mouth to say something and he hurriedly raise his hand in the air to stop her and then swiveled the mirror making her gasp in total shock as she hadn't seen that coming at all. It was a canvas. No, s
So we have come to the end of Resisting Xavier. Thank you for sticking with me till the end of this book... It mean so much to me trust me. So although this is the official end of this book I just might be dropping a bonus Chapter soon.... And perhaps a prequel that might feature Xavier's and Maya's big day though I'm wondering whose story should be written. Jared's? Jasmine's? Tyler's? Or cute Jessica and Alex? Too many options to choose from but until I make up my mind, you can check out another of my book I just signed that is about a kick-ass heroine. Lipsticks and gun. Thank you and I love you all ❤️
Maya chuckles momentarily as she could hear Adele's Hello from the background. No, she wasn't admitting that her choices in songs were toast like Xavier had constantly insisted but this was not the playlist to be playing loudly downstairs during sex she thought even as Xavier grips the headboard above her head with one hand and her hip with the other, thrusting his hips and pushing his cock inside of her. "Ahhhh," she cries out, dragging her nails into his chest. His arms almost give out. "Maya," he moans, closing his eyes at the pleasure. It's so hot and tight and wet. She shakes, her mouth open in both surprise and pain. He leans down to kiss her, "You're doing good. Just hold onto me." Her breathing calms, and he hated that he had to do this, but it is better not to tell her anyway. He slides out, almost all the way, and then thrusts, sinking all the way inside her this time, to the hilt.&nb
His cock bulges and seeps, and he continues eating her while he tugs down his joggers. She digs her nails into her thighs and he sucks on her clit, chewing it gently as her stomach rises and falls, faster and faster. He looks up from between her thighs, and the image of her on his bed, her eyes tightly shut and her hands fisted on the covers while she rolled her hips into his hand, hungry for him made him fist his cock with one hand, stroking it while he drops down to keep eating her. He swirls and nibbles, sucks, and licks syncing with her breaths and going faster and harder as her lungs fill again and again. "Yes... Yes." She pants, her legs opening wider. One leg on top of Xavier's shoulders and the other on the bed. "Fuck, I'm coming." She shakes, her short shallow breaths wracking through her body. "Oh, God... Xavier, you feel so good." She sucks in a breath and he knows
She pumps him, dipping her tongue into his mouth, to taste and feel, and the world was spinning behind his ears. He wanted her in his bed. He wanted her now.He presses his forehead to hers, hugging her to him. Their bodies started moving as he thrust into her hand and she rolls her hips to meet him, both of them panting and kissing until he was just a bit ready to rip off her clothes. "No." He mumbled almost unsure especially as she continued to trail kisses down her neck. "No..." He let go of her breasts and pull her shirt down before taking her hand off his cock. He clenched his eyes shut. "Go, Maya. Go to your room and lock the door." He let out in a whisper. "Xavi__" "Please." His eyes met hers hoping she could see he was struggling and was just about to break with a snap. "But what if I don't want to?" She pants, staring at his mout
Xavier had spent hours the night before, going over this particular moment, all he could say to show his sincerity, to truly express his love, how to react, and what to do but as he knelt in front of Maya watching her eyes shine with such pure glee his head suddenly went blank. He looks down at himself thoroughly amused, "I know you have had more proposals than an average girl and crazy enough from the same guy and that should have been enough warmup for me to now say the right things, make you swoon and luckily forget what an idiot I am and trick you into saying yes but all I can say is that this time I'm sure. I can see now. Somehow, I have always known my ring belonged on your finger not only because you have shown me so much light than I could ever imagine but you're the best thing that has happened to me and you make me laugh when I don't even feel like smiling. I'm so sorry but I'm thankful for your cheating boyfriend, grateful for your ridiculous decision
"Say freaky!!" Ashley who had already pre-assumed by Maya, later on, met them in the manicure and pedicure shop hollered as she took a selfie picture of Jasmine as expected indulging her, Jessica's brow was arched in disbelief, there was confusion in Melissa's eyes and Maya was laughing yet it was the perfect picture that was able to capture just a hint of that moment, the memories.***Maya smiled even as she helped Melissa hold her shopping bags as her phone rang while they were on the cab, on their way back from what was a ridiculously fun and long day. Jasmine has gone overboard with shopping hence the bags that they were surprised they could manage to fit into the car with themselves. They also bought nice charm identical bracelets now on their wrists that although was cliche especially as Ashley had said it was going to be a sort of BFF identification, Maya couldn't help but love the glittery beauty on her wrist but she didn't know about the BFF thingy because, f
Maya smiled as she hung up. She had just gotten off the phone with Melissa who had informed her that they were at the airport and she could already hear an animated discussion or banter between Ashley, Jasmine, and Jessica in the background which wasn't at all a surprise. All the girls did when they were together was banter and argue continuously which could be tagged discussions depending on the way you look at it. Her birthday was a day after tomorrow and she had been moved by the gesture when Jasmine had remembered and suggested that they come around to make it memorable for her and she had agreed not only because she had missed them so dearly but because it is been three months of gazing at her phone screen wishing that Xavier name was on it but knowing she wouldn't know what to say if that happens and she desperately needed a distraction from thinking and pining for him. Three months of wondering why she had to open her dumb mouth and s
So guys, I had this book completed on my Wps document that was backed up to my drive. I woke up yesterday to find everything gone. I'm still in a state of shock and though I might come around to rewriting this work but be patient with me if updates come slower than expected as I'm literally in tears as lots of my documents are still missing. I'll try to like wait it out, and see if this is a system bug or just a huge joke because my life is a mess literally right now. Might drop updates tomorrow or next but definitely not today because I don't think I'm in a frame of mind to write anything having lost 300k+ work from three of my not nearly done book files also missing. I'll appreciate suggestions if anything like this has ever happened to you and how you resolved it because trust me everything in my life is a huge mess and I can't stop crying. I don't even know where to start from!!!
