"So what next?" Maya asked Mrs. Laura.
It has been two weeks since the interview and there has been no sign of her blackmailer, taking the bait.
The interview was meant on publicizing where she stayed which was in turn supposed to make her vulnerable to their attacks but so far nothing has happened even the threat mails have abruptly stopped coming.
"It is obviously not working," Xavier snapped, "Can't believe you have to go through all that trouble for nothing at all, even worst I can't believe you talked me into agreeing to such ploy."
She rolled her eyes, "Don't you think you are crying More than the bereaved. I was the one interviewed, the one who has a serial killer on her tail and probably with any slight mistake the one who might end up ___"
He slapped his hand firmly over her mouth and then with a warning glare he shook his head, "You should never talk about that ever. You won
"What do you mean by nobody showed up?" His new substitute assistant flinched at his outburst. He was the 3rd in a week. Xavier narrowed his gaze on him, even as he smacked his lips and tried to compose his expression. "It's either they are suspicious or they are off my back. Nobody showed off." Maya repeated. "I did everything as we planned," Maya's voice was low and gravelly making him angry that this was putting her through a lot of stress. Emotionally and physically. "I went to the House to pick up the duffel bag as we've planned," "Maya." His voice was a whisper, "Deep breaths." He coaxed. He could almost imagine her rubbing her hand on her face and then with her hands now wrapped around her body, she takes a careful burst of deep needed breath. "Maya all will be fine, soon." He sat down on his seat, his hand ruffling hi
Maya waited impatiently, even as she heard the doorknob turn, to resist the urge to take a little peek of where they went she placed her palm over her face. She understood that he didn't want her to know where his treasure laid so she didn't go there all the time hence the blindfold but damn, the wait was Killing. The smell of paint hit her nose even before he lightly shoved her and then removed the blindfold from her eyes. In split seconds her eyes was adjusting to the light in the room. Pale grey walls, windows that showed off the city but she could tell the pedestrians didn't have the same luxury. Her eyes then landed on the paintings hung on the wall. Her legs made their way to them before she could stop herself, her fingers tracing one of the pictures of a boy writhing in his bed, underneath it lay hands clawing on his neck more like a Dropbox exposing his horrifying dreams. Maya
Tiles having fingerprintsMaya woke up to the sound of loud clattering coming from Xavier's room. Scared and wondering what was the cause of him going into a fit, she quickly packed her disheveled hair into a loose bun and made for his room. His door was open and his phone was on the floor. He cursed pushing his hair backward in frustration. Before she talked herself out of it, she was already squaring her chest and walking up to him, and she was grateful she did because when he turned to face her, she didn't notice how his body made the casual loose navy blue hoodie he had on look like it was straight out for a male catalog designer fashion show. Because more than his gorgeousness, the pain etched in his eyes scared the shit out of her. "Mother." He mumbled and that was all it took to make Maya's transfixed figure move. She didn't know what he was hinting a
Xavier: A Paradox"You know mum wanted to be a ballet dancer before she met him." Melissa stopped her story halfway, the smile on her face as she held onto Xavier's hand deciding to be a storyteller to reduce the anxiety just waiting and silence could bring. They all knew that the "he" was the reason why they were all huddled in a hospital's reception room while holding each other's gaze and hands. He who shouldn't be mentioned. "She'll tell me about how she had thought of being a part of a musical or something more Frenchly." She paused, her lips tilting into a smirk even as Maya laughed. "She really didn't know what she meant by Frenchly but all she had thought was pirouettes and ballet shoes well until she had met him." She shrugged her lips set in a tight line. "You know no matter how many times she told us the story as a bedtime fable while tucking us to bed, never ever using herself bu
"You know you could have run a long time ago, you do know that right?" Xavier's fists were clenched, his eyes stormy, his words iced as he took in the condition his mother was in. "Xavier, please no. At least not here." "Where else Melissa? When she is back to that scum of a husband." "He is still your father." Mrs. Salvador struggled to stand up, her face getting even more pale as she coughed. Maya rushed to her side, making her lie back down. "Please Ma, Don't stress yourself." "Oh my darling, you didn't need to stress yourself for me." Mrs. Salvador mumbled noting that Maya was in her pajamas. "Well she won't be if you don't have a fucking stab wound on your lower abdomen and the other injuries in your body, Darling Mr. Dominic dealt on you." "Oh dear, I feel so ashamed." Maya sat down next to her glaring at Xavier and hoping that was enough
His car was not in the lobby when she got out. She swore underneath her breath, rubbing both her arms simultaneously because of the chilly weather outside and how underclothed she looked in her pale pink nightwear. Still standing in the hospital's driveway, she ordered an Uber. She almost was about shedding tears when the Uber driver finally arrived. She entered the taxi and with her head down tried calling Xavier as she headed to the mansion. She had felt alarmed in her heart before it had happened right in front of her. Two masked men waited in ambush for them in a factory bus. All she could hear was cussing and for sight, her driver fidgeted. The passenger seat was opened and before she could even have the opportunity to scream, a hard hand was over her mouth and she felt the sting of a needle. She fell limp on the kidnapper's body and with her in
Maya woke up to absolute darkness and the murky smell of dust and dirt. Her hands and legs were numb. She didn't know how long they have been tied to the metallic chair she was sitting on. More than anything, she suppressed the overwhelming urge to scream help, rip her hair apart, cause drama, or any of the other stuff, victims in the Crime thriller movie she sees, usually participate in that just indicate to viewers they ain't making it out alive. Apart from not wanting to piss off her kidnappers, she didn't want them to have any idea that she was now awake. She looked around the desolate big room she have been left in. Apart from the smell of dust and abyss, she could also see cobwebs hanging on the wall and though she tried not to think of it, she knew that hairy insects and creatures thought her an invader of their home. She wondered if that will be her last day on Earth. If Xavie
"She is sleeping Xavier, don't wake her up." He turned, just noticing Melissa who sat opposite the VIP room Mrs. Salvador lied in, keeping a hawklike eye on it. He sighed and sat down next to his sister, hugging his body. "I messed up real good right?" She shrugged, "That's why you are Xavier. You always mess up. Maya has really signed up for the full package with her eyes open huh?" She raised her brow, giving Xavier a side glance. He knew what she was asking rather so politely. If Maya was well aware of the huge error of judgment she has made by choosing him as someone she will want to walk down the aisle with. Even his sister believed he didn't deserve her. "I shouldn't have come. This is why I stay away."She didn't reply. "You know when we were much younger. Growing up, I grew a bit jealous of you." She chuckled slightly, "I wa
"Can I open my eyes now?" Maya whispered as she felt something around her neck. "Not yet." Xavier hollered from a distance and she grinned wondering what he was up to. Firstly he had interrupted her bridal shopping spree with the girls since it was a week before she'll finally be with this weirdo forever and now he was running around the house if the footsteps resounding against the floor hurriedly was anything to go with. "Now open your eyes." "Okay..." She first opened one of her eyes then another and smiled at the full-length mirror in front of her that showed the only thing that was different in her looks. A locket. A beautiful silver locket with glitters. She opened her mouth to say something and he hurriedly raise his hand in the air to stop her and then swiveled the mirror making her gasp in total shock as she hadn't seen that coming at all. It was a canvas. No, s
So we have come to the end of Resisting Xavier. Thank you for sticking with me till the end of this book... It mean so much to me trust me. So although this is the official end of this book I just might be dropping a bonus Chapter soon.... And perhaps a prequel that might feature Xavier's and Maya's big day though I'm wondering whose story should be written. Jared's? Jasmine's? Tyler's? Or cute Jessica and Alex? Too many options to choose from but until I make up my mind, you can check out another of my book I just signed that is about a kick-ass heroine. Lipsticks and gun. Thank you and I love you all ❤️
Maya chuckles momentarily as she could hear Adele's Hello from the background. No, she wasn't admitting that her choices in songs were toast like Xavier had constantly insisted but this was not the playlist to be playing loudly downstairs during sex she thought even as Xavier grips the headboard above her head with one hand and her hip with the other, thrusting his hips and pushing his cock inside of her. "Ahhhh," she cries out, dragging her nails into his chest. His arms almost give out. "Maya," he moans, closing his eyes at the pleasure. It's so hot and tight and wet. She shakes, her mouth open in both surprise and pain. He leans down to kiss her, "You're doing good. Just hold onto me." Her breathing calms, and he hated that he had to do this, but it is better not to tell her anyway. He slides out, almost all the way, and then thrusts, sinking all the way inside her this time, to the hilt.&nb
His cock bulges and seeps, and he continues eating her while he tugs down his joggers. She digs her nails into her thighs and he sucks on her clit, chewing it gently as her stomach rises and falls, faster and faster. He looks up from between her thighs, and the image of her on his bed, her eyes tightly shut and her hands fisted on the covers while she rolled her hips into his hand, hungry for him made him fist his cock with one hand, stroking it while he drops down to keep eating her. He swirls and nibbles, sucks, and licks syncing with her breaths and going faster and harder as her lungs fill again and again. "Yes... Yes." She pants, her legs opening wider. One leg on top of Xavier's shoulders and the other on the bed. "Fuck, I'm coming." She shakes, her short shallow breaths wracking through her body. "Oh, God... Xavier, you feel so good." She sucks in a breath and he knows
She pumps him, dipping her tongue into his mouth, to taste and feel, and the world was spinning behind his ears. He wanted her in his bed. He wanted her now.He presses his forehead to hers, hugging her to him. Their bodies started moving as he thrust into her hand and she rolls her hips to meet him, both of them panting and kissing until he was just a bit ready to rip off her clothes. "No." He mumbled almost unsure especially as she continued to trail kisses down her neck. "No..." He let go of her breasts and pull her shirt down before taking her hand off his cock. He clenched his eyes shut. "Go, Maya. Go to your room and lock the door." He let out in a whisper. "Xavi__" "Please." His eyes met hers hoping she could see he was struggling and was just about to break with a snap. "But what if I don't want to?" She pants, staring at his mout
Xavier had spent hours the night before, going over this particular moment, all he could say to show his sincerity, to truly express his love, how to react, and what to do but as he knelt in front of Maya watching her eyes shine with such pure glee his head suddenly went blank. He looks down at himself thoroughly amused, "I know you have had more proposals than an average girl and crazy enough from the same guy and that should have been enough warmup for me to now say the right things, make you swoon and luckily forget what an idiot I am and trick you into saying yes but all I can say is that this time I'm sure. I can see now. Somehow, I have always known my ring belonged on your finger not only because you have shown me so much light than I could ever imagine but you're the best thing that has happened to me and you make me laugh when I don't even feel like smiling. I'm so sorry but I'm thankful for your cheating boyfriend, grateful for your ridiculous decision
"Say freaky!!" Ashley who had already pre-assumed by Maya, later on, met them in the manicure and pedicure shop hollered as she took a selfie picture of Jasmine as expected indulging her, Jessica's brow was arched in disbelief, there was confusion in Melissa's eyes and Maya was laughing yet it was the perfect picture that was able to capture just a hint of that moment, the memories.***Maya smiled even as she helped Melissa hold her shopping bags as her phone rang while they were on the cab, on their way back from what was a ridiculously fun and long day. Jasmine has gone overboard with shopping hence the bags that they were surprised they could manage to fit into the car with themselves. They also bought nice charm identical bracelets now on their wrists that although was cliche especially as Ashley had said it was going to be a sort of BFF identification, Maya couldn't help but love the glittery beauty on her wrist but she didn't know about the BFF thingy because, f
Maya smiled as she hung up. She had just gotten off the phone with Melissa who had informed her that they were at the airport and she could already hear an animated discussion or banter between Ashley, Jasmine, and Jessica in the background which wasn't at all a surprise. All the girls did when they were together was banter and argue continuously which could be tagged discussions depending on the way you look at it. Her birthday was a day after tomorrow and she had been moved by the gesture when Jasmine had remembered and suggested that they come around to make it memorable for her and she had agreed not only because she had missed them so dearly but because it is been three months of gazing at her phone screen wishing that Xavier name was on it but knowing she wouldn't know what to say if that happens and she desperately needed a distraction from thinking and pining for him. Three months of wondering why she had to open her dumb mouth and s
So guys, I had this book completed on my Wps document that was backed up to my drive. I woke up yesterday to find everything gone. I'm still in a state of shock and though I might come around to rewriting this work but be patient with me if updates come slower than expected as I'm literally in tears as lots of my documents are still missing. I'll try to like wait it out, and see if this is a system bug or just a huge joke because my life is a mess literally right now. Might drop updates tomorrow or next but definitely not today because I don't think I'm in a frame of mind to write anything having lost 300k+ work from three of my not nearly done book files also missing. I'll appreciate suggestions if anything like this has ever happened to you and how you resolved it because trust me everything in my life is a huge mess and I can't stop crying. I don't even know where to start from!!!
