Chapter thirty- one

Tossing and turning in his bed, Alpha Damon wrestles with the forthcoming challenges of the next day. He's torn between isolating himself, acting as if everything is normal, or revealing his current state of blindness to the Pack.

“No, I can't do that,” he rejects the idea of disclosing his condition.

“It's just six days until the Full Moon. I can manage without my sight until then.” He attempts to bolster his spirits with reassuring words, but coping without his sight proves to be increasingly frustrating and challenging.

It took a great effort to get to the woods earlier. He had stumbled repeatedly because the uneven terrain proved to be a tough obstacle. Until he eventually reaches the familiar fallen log, a point of reference from the previous day, where they begin to run laps.

Lana's exhausted tone upon finding him triggers a sudden awareness in Damon and guilt washes over him as he acknowledges how frequently he has been cold to her throughout the day.
