Chapter 981 This Is Obviously a Scheme

“Hold me, sir! I came in a boat. You just have to swim forward!”

The man turned around and saw that Deirdre was still far away.

He roared, “Miss McKinnon! Here!”

Deirdre rowed the boat with the paddle upon hearing the voice. The man supported the unconscious Ophelia to reduce Brendan’s burden.

The man waited for the boat to come nearer before he crawled into it. Then, he pulled up Ophelia and Brendan with his teeth clenched.

Brendan was already exhausted, yet his first response was to perform CPR on Ophelia to help her to spit out the water she choked on.

The weather was awful. The people on the boat were trembling, and their teeth were chattering in the cold. Brendan removed his coat to cover Ophelia’s body.

When everything ended, he looked toward Deirdre and found her eyes wide open and bloodshot. She was so anxious that she did not dare to breathe loudly.

“Why did you come? Aren’t you cold?” Brendan slumped against Deirdre’s body and said, “Good thing you came.”
