-Veronne-

I was in the bathroom. While the lower part of my body was sinking into the warm bathtub, my mind was thinking about what Marcov said.

From the moment that I found out that Kalvis confessed to his father about being in love with someone else, I was not able to sleep tight every night. I thought that we would bury it forever and live striving to forget what we once had.

I rose, and the water from my skin and hair was pulled down until it met the surface of the water in the tub.

I took the bathrobe and dried my body. When I was done drying my body, I left the bathroom and walked straight to the chair that was placed in front of the mirror.

My hand reached the blower and started to blow my hair with it. My eyes were closed, so I didn't realize that Marcov was already in the room.

I was almost startled when his hands were put on top of both of my shoulders.

“Marcov, you startled me,” I confessed.

He bowed down and kissed the side of my forehead. I smiled when I saw him cl

A fresh breeze came to kiss my face. The people who were invited to today's event were looking for seats. I was staring at Marcov, who was walking with his son until the edge of the red carpet was reached. I could see how sadness swims in the balls of Kalvis' eyes. He was looking at me. It made me stare away from him. “Ladies and gentlemen, the bride of the century!” Margarette was wearing a white and luxurious wedding gown. Her veil was only half of her face. She walks happily. She was feeling the moment. I looked again in Kalvis' direction. His eyes were nailed at me. Tears suddenly ran down his face, and it caused me to feel a little pain. It's not because I regret choosing Marcov over Kalvis, but because I can feel the hurtful part of him. His father and I put him in this situation. We locked him inside the jail, which caused him to be so lonely. It's a beach wedding. The sun and the wind witnessed the happiest part of the Greenes' lives, and the breeze sympathized with Kalvi

“I got back to where I left you, but you weren't there. What happened?!” Maybe he wondered why I was staying inside the inn when I was actually enjoying the ambiance outside..“I saw my aunt here. We faced each other.”The smile on his face vanished and was replaced with a slight anger emotion.“What? The woman who hurt you before was here. We both have this resort, and it's ours now, Veronne. How come she was here? It's my son's wedding celebration. Why is your aunt here?” I looked at the white-painted wall. I am certain that Marcov didn't know that Kalvis and Chontel had sex. I sighed.“Chontel is working under the HR department of Greyford Empire, Marcov. The employees were all invited, and I was certain that Chontel brought her mother with her.” “Baby, is she trying to do anything evil to you again?” I shook my head. “I won't allow her anymore, Marcov. I told her that I worked as your secretary, and that awakened her beasts to get mad at her daughter. I am sure that right now

How am I supposed to have the appetite to rise from this bed? I didn't hear the sound of the alarm; I took the clock and saw what time it was. It was still before the time I should get up. Well, I haven't been sleeping since last night. I was uncomfortable, and it seemed that my heart was looking for something. I tried to close my eyes, but after a snap, I heard the disturbing sound from the alarm clock. The sun came out already, ready to shine on the surface of the earth, yet here I am still buried in the cushion and covered by the thick fabric.I waited for another sound from the clock before I forced my tired self to rise. I didn't fild the linen properly; I made it like a ball and threw it on the pillow. I sat down on the bed, feeling weak and thinking about how Marcov made me feel these days. I wanted to complain, but he was right that I was the one who should understand him because he has a busy schedule. My phone rang, and I took it. I excitedly answered the call because it

I understand now why my aunt has disliked me all her life, and it's because of my mom. How could it be possible? I didn't even tell my mother to cheat on my father. If my aunt was saying that my father died because of that cheating issue between my mom and her lover, I was out of it. I was just a little girl back then, and all I could do was cry and wish to return to my fairytale-like life. I lifted my face to stop my tears from falling. I failed to do so because the small, transparent balls found their way to roll over my cheek. “Veronica?” I looked on the left side to hide my tears from Kalvis, who had just entered the office. I wiped my tears before I looked in his direction. There's an expression of worry visible on his face. His eyes revealed that he was worried about something.“Kalvis, you're here. What is the matter? Do you have something to find here?” Honestly, I was not aware that he was already in the office. I never heard of him knocking behind the door. “No, Veronic

I helped the person who first planted hate in my heart. It was ironic how I was able to look back on her earlier and assist her until we both got in the car. I drove to the unit. It was a quiet trip to my unit with my mother, who opened the gate of hell for me. Until we got into the unit, I wasn't talking to her but took care of her in silence. “I never thought that everything would come to this, Veronne. I was treated nicely by those people, but when they got everything from me, they just treated me like shit that they shouldn't be seeing the rest of their lives.” I didn't ask her about the worst decision she ever made, but she was telling me everything. I don't even know if she was helping me to cure the wound she carved in my heart or if she was making it even tougher to be cured. “I-I had a beautiful life with your father and with you, but I walked away and cheated on him. I was too numb to let that man fool me around, Veronne.”So she realized something? I think it's too late

Marcov was back, and I informed him about what was going on while he was not around. I told him that I forgave my mother, even though it was impossible before. “Baby, come here,” he said, opening his arms. I walked inside his embrace and savored the taste of it. Well, most of the time, the most delicious tastes were those never put into the mouth. I mean, his hug was just amazing. “I was really down after your son's wedding. I thought that you weren't in love with me anymore.”He chuckled. He kissed my forehead then. His hand gently pushed me a little, and his fingers stretched to assist my face as he was lifting it. “I know. I am sorry. I finished everything so that we will return to the way we are.” We went to the room, and he lay down on the bed. I followed him and positioned myself on his arm. I pillowed his chest soon after. “I guess we should buy you a home, Veronne. You have your mother with you now. She must feel comfortable.”I touched his face and made him face him. A

-Marcov-Her mother was still trying to absorb the fact that she just knew it now. “I am confident of my daughter's beauty and kindness, yet it's really surprising that her boyfriend is the richest man in the world.”“Mommy.”“Why? It's your fault that you didn't tell me ahead of time. Until now, my mind couldn't afford to process everything.”“Let us have a wonderful dinner,” I said, taking the piece of meat and putting it on Veronne's mother's plate. She smiles widely. “Thank you so much.” She looks at Veronne, who was still blaming herself for what happened earlier. “I only have one child, Marcov. I know that I am only a year older than you, but I want to call you “son” if it's alright with you.”The heat from my heart is in the veins of my face. She made me feel so young. I stare at Veronne and ask her opinion regarding her mother's plea. “Mom, isn't it—?”“What? Awkward? Well, it is much more awkward if he calls me sister and I call him brother. I am his mother-in-law, and it

-Veronne-I was biting my lower lip while looking at the screen of my phone, which was at peace. I never received calls or even just a text message from Marcov. I was trying to avoid him because I was disappointed in what he did. It made me think that I wasn't even a good woman in bed. Well, I'm trying my best to give him the best moment of his life when we are sharing the flame of lust on top of the bed. I swear that I put effort into every touch I give his body. Yet he refused to have sex with me the last time we were about to share love. I understand that he wanted us to be settled in marriage before we did what lovers do again. But I always wanted to do that with him, even though we are still not married, because of the love I have for him. I asked myself what's wrong with him, and I still feel so bad about him refusing to have sex with me. Now I was wondering why he wasn't texting me. I went to the office, but he didn't come. I was now heading back to the new house he bought f

The couple of years after we buried his body at the cemetery passed, but the pain was still here with me. All the days we spent together and the nights we shared with each other were nothing but beautiful memories of two hearts that were once one. My tears crossed my pale face. As my hand lifted the glass I was holding, I suddenly smiled, looking at the city lights from the veranda. “Why can't I get drunk? ”I asked myself. In the years Marcov was gone, I was totally lost and nowhere to be found. I know we have kids I must take care of, but my eyes can't stand looking at them. Because they exactly got their looks after their father, Marcov, the man I loved the most. Dorothy and Amirah never left me. They cleaned the veranda where I messed around. They took care of my kids. And they were keeping me from seeing the good side of life, even though I am blind. Someone made me look beside me. It's his older son who really looks like him. He was not staying here anymore but gave me time

We decided to hold our quadruplet party here on some of the most authentic and beautiful beaches in the Philippines. Siargao is really the most visited place here. I heard from people who experienced this beautiful and mesmerizing paradise how accommodating the place is. I've read beautiful feedback from others. And their page got a ten-over-ten rating from the tourists. They sing happy birthdays to my children. I am totally out of appetite because of Margarette, the fake! After the short program, here comes the feast. A lot of food is placed on top of the tables. There are many Filipino delicacies on the menu. I just had puto, bibingka, and dinuguan. The sunset caught my attention. My heart is beating and aching as I am watching over it. Like the sunset, I am wishing that this agony I kept inside my heart would come to an end. My eyes are tired of shedding tears every night, and my mind is tired of having heavy thoughts over the days. I want everything to fall into place so I c

-Veronne-Carrying four angels inside my womb wasn't easy. It was tiring and made my body function less effective. But every time I heard their small cries asking for their milk, their comforts made me realize that everything was all worth it.The pain in my back and private parts when I gave birth to them was truly a nerve-wracking experience. But again, their smiles and their little laughs helped me define myself as a real woman. My aunt and cousin never destroy our family anymore. But Margarette was a total mess in my life. She was acting kind and made me believe that all the things I'd heard a few months ago were real, even though they were all part of her schemes. “Baby!” Marcov uttered. It was a second after I put my sons into their cribs. I looked at the white wall while thinking about how I was going to make Marcov believe me. I brought this up to him before, but he said that it was not real. Kalvis was protecting his wife, and my husband was protecting his son. I could

-Marcov- It's never easy to deal with a pregnant wife who is always changing her mind about everything. In addition to liking a certain thing, she would crave different things. She's been so picky right now, and what made me feel stupid was the weird thing she wanted me to do—not take a bath. Yes! It's really nasty, but I don't have a choice because if I go to the bathroom, I am only allowed to wash my face. “Marcov, come here! I want to smell you!” “Baby.” I was just calling her with my endearment for her, but her face was showing a disappointed face. I don't have another choice but to climb the bed and lay down with my head pillowing my hands. She then slowly laid down in my arms. She got closer to me and started to smell like she was smelling a cupcake that smelled so sweet. “Marcov. It's addictive!” “Baby, I really want to wash my body,” I said. “Ugh!” She suddenly punched my abdomen, and it made me run after my breath. It's impossible! I was really happy about my q

Kalvis was challenging me. Well, I will make sure that soon he will know the dirty plan of that woman. I admit to myself that I told him to accept her and try to love her, but never to be fooled by her scheme. Marcov followed me to the veranda, where I was drinking wine. He hugged me, and it made me feel calm.“Why are you here, baby? The night is cold.” “Nothing, Marcov. I am just thinking about something.”“Care to share?” I escaped from his arms and faced him. He took a goblet and poured his own drink into it. “Nothing important. You will soon know about this. Just wait.”“Lita mentioned that my son came here. Was he bothering you again? Tell me if he does.”“It's just a little misunderstanding, Marcov. Don't worry about it.” “Are you sure?” “Certain.” I smiled widely to remove the worry in his heart. He touched my face, and the warmth of his palm pushed me to close my eyes. I held his hand and slowly grabbed his hand until my lips could kiss his palm. “Make sure that no

Walking around inside the Greyford Empire made me feel indifferent. Before, I was just a hidden girlfriend of Marcov, but now I am treated so well and everyone praises me. “I knew it! I was really suspecting them to be lovers. But no one believes in me!”“Me too. I never doubted my suspicions! The way that Sir Marcov looks at Madame Veronne means the world!”“Correction, she seemed to be his universe!” “Hi, Madame Veronne! Good morning!” They greeted me. I smiled at them. The joy in their eyes seemed to be uncontrollable. They bowed to me many times. Before I arrived at the office, someone caught my attention. It's Kalvis. He just looked at me for a while and went in a separate direction.I was about to make another step when someone clapped behind me. It's Margarette. Her left brow was lifted while her eyes looked at me like she wanted to harm me. “Clap! Clap! Clap!” she said while clapping again. “You can't imagine that you really made it, right?” “Margarette, I did it! I did

-Veronne-I went to my mom, and he went directly to the company. I sighed when I remembered what he did.“Honey? How's the honeymoon? I am sure that it went well! So, am I saying that I am going to have a grandchild?” I smiled while we were in each other's embrace. “Mommy, I am not ready for that. Marcov needs me to support him in his business. You know that,” I said. “Wait, speaking of Marcov. Where is he?”“He went straight to the company. He needs to settle something. You know that his people won't be doing their jobs well if he is not around. Oh, mom. I remembered what he did earlier. He reported someone who just looked at me, and he was arrested!” My mom was surprised. She covered her mouth before she burst into laughter. Like, what the fuck? Why was she like this?“Oh! God! That's impossible!”“It's possible, mom! What was impossible? The most impossible thing here was your reaction? There's no reason to be happy about someone who was arrested for looking at another man's wi

-Marcov-We were both naked and had no space between our bodies. My member was working hard to reach her clit and make her moan like she wanted more of me. I couldn't afford to refuse the beauty that was possessed by her. She was beautiful but never like me, as she was underneath my body whispering the chants of love.“Oh, Marcov,” she said. I was looking at her face and trying to do my best to give her the best moment she will remember until the days when we were both old. My body pressed against hers. I slowly hung her right leg on my butt while digging to her depth.“Faster, Marcov! Faster!” “Uhhh.”I responded to her plea. I thrust faster than ever, feeling that the first legal sex we were sharing right now would never be compared before. This one feels so right, and this one would be a great memoir to keep in the bottom of our hearts. “Oh, Marcov! I can't take it anymore!” I pushed once, and she met my body. I could feel how her gate suffocated my dick. I am certain that she

Every woman dreams of being paired with a man who's oftentimes read the best-selling book of all time. It was a wonderful feeling that you were walking above the aisle while the man of my life was waiting until I arrived at where he was standing up. His eyes were nailed on me while I was heading in his direction. “Honey, I don't know what to feel right now. I am going to cry out loud out the happiness and sadness mixed inside my heart. God, baby. You are really a grown-up woman now, and I lost the chance to look at you while growing up, achieving your academic goal, and living the life of a woman that you want.” I stopped for a while and looked at my mother, who was guiding me when we were both in front of my groom. “By any chance, mommy, I never imagined walking down the aisle with you. But today, you proved that a mother is a mother, a woman who will always stand up and walk by her flower. Thank you for returning to my life and walking with me heading to my groom.” Tears fell fr
