“Drink! Drink! Drink!”

"I’m too drunk already,” Sandra whined out, but her colleagues insisted, and the daughter of Franzel drank, and kept drinking, to the point that she almost blacked out. However, just like everything today, she could sense that things were about to go astray.

And it wasn't even going to be about her drinking like a fool anymore.

"Come around people, I have an announcement to make!” Noah said and Sandra sighed again. Even though she was wasted and hurt, she still was curious as to what would happen with Noah.

He probably wanted to shun her in front of everyone, why else would he call for a party when he knew she had an event to deal with? They all knew how events took a toll on people, so why had he even called her when she had been suffering for two whole days on an impromptu project?

"As we all know, we have an opening for the design director,” Noah began and that caught Sandra’s attention.

She had worked so hard to earn that position and maybe this time, Noah w

"You are drunk. Come with me, and let's go home," Alpha Aztec said to Sandra who was just staring at him, contemplating what to make of his presence here. Was he by any chance stalking her? "Hold on, have you been following me?” Sandra asked curiously, the anger in her voice showing, thanks to her drunken state. She was pissed and she didn't want another person hovering over her. The disdain in her eyes for Aztec was clear as day and she despised him to some extent for what he had done to her. Though even then, she loved his baby blue eyes that made her feel so many things. How could a man be this perfect and still have the heart of stone with the behaviors of a barbaric idiot in the nineties? "Follow you? Nah. I have better things to do than be your babysitter. You really shouldn't expect so much from me honey,” Alpha Aztec said, not even batting an eye at Sandra’s anger. She looked cute to him and he wanted to have more of her. Maybe that made him a selfish person, but it w

"Whatever. Anyway, remember that no one can bully you except me," said the Alpha who was bemused by Sandra's response. Goddess, she was perfect. In response, Sandra just nodded quietly at Aztec, but they both knew that it wasn't a show of meekness. She didn't want to talk about the topic anymore. When they were done with breakfast, Aztec looked at Sandra. He was worried about her and wanted her to take the day off since she looked a little pale. "Hey, why don't you take the day off? You don't look too good plus I'll need you to accompany me to the airport to pick up Derek, my grandfather,” Aztec said to Sandra, and for a moment, the Marshall Luna froze. She hadn't even thought that she would be meeting anyone from the Aztec family so soon. Of course, she had heard the rumors that there was someone important to the Alpha who was coming home, but of all of them did it really have to be the grandpa? It had barely been days so, what the fuck was even happening? What if the grandpa

"I miss my home, Abu,” Derek said for the ten thousandth time and Aztec was so close to throwing his grandpa out the window. It was almost like they were ferrying a kid in a man’s body and boy was he frustrated by all his complaints about Beatrice It was like he had come back home to troll Beatrice. If only he knew. If only Derek knew what had happened already. Coming from the airport, the trio went to Derek's house, considering the old man had been whining about missing his house. It was, however, not so far from where Aztec's house was but it was also not too close. It was a beautiful mansion built in the eighties that still stood strong. It was the proof that a whole race had been forged from them. When they arrived at their grandfather's house, they found that Alpha's younger sister Raquel was waiting in the house. She was a beautiful girl in her teens but one who was clearly too intelligent, because one glance at her brother and she knew that Sandra would be the reason he

With Aztec and Sandra gone, Mary looked around her, slowly taking in the beauty of Derek’s house and the gold that it was decorated with. This house cost more than her life and she knew it, maybe that could also explain the glint in her eyes and her unmatched desire for money and wealth through Sandra’s marriage of convenience. It was a little too different from what she had expected, considering the rumors were spreading around. Sure, it wasn't Aztec’s house so it wasn't as cold as expected, but maybe Mary had hoped that the Alpha had gotten his cruelty and toxicity from his grandpa. They were polar opposites. "Hi, I’m Raquel, Aztec’s little sister,” Raquel said when she noticed the tension at the table. She knew that her brother wouldn't like it if someone dared to disrespect his wife; and from what Raquel had noticed, Mary was walking in dangerous waters. "Hello Raquel,” Doctor Franzel, Sandra’s stepfather, greeted Raquel when he noticed that his wife was still in her own

"Mom!” Sandra suddenly said, making the whole table turn to her. Hell, even Aztec was surprised by the power in Sandra's voice. Raquel looked like she was about to giggle her way out of the table, while Derek Marshall watched amusedly at the drama that was about to unfold. Doctor Franzel on the other hand, looked at his step child with a curious face, wondering what the hell was going on in her head. Had she by any chance forgotten that she had an ailing grandmother that needed to be attended to? Was she forgetting their deal or what? "Your favorite steak, try it,” Sandra said to Mary who was watching her with a bemused face. "I—” Mary said after a while of silence and her eyes brown knitting and unknitting because of the anger she was feeling right now. She hated being interrupted, and more so while at an important table. Before Mary could continue her sentence, Sandra spoke, making Aztec realize that there was more to the family than met the eye. "After being married for so m

"Mom! I've run out of money, transfer me $200,000!" A shrill voice snapped Mary out of her emotional breakdown about Sandra; she was too stressed about the girl and thought that she wouldn’t let the alpha give them the money they so desperately needed. She instinctively looked at her husband, hoping to the goddess that the Doctor had some solution to their crazy child’s desires. "What?” Mary asked, unsure of what she had expected from her daughter. "I need more money, mom!” "You can’t be serious right now, Scarlet. Why are you out of money again and at this time of the year?!'' Mary asked disbelievingly, pausing her steps. They were currently walking back to their estate which was a few blocks away from the old Marshall estate. She had given Scarlet a lot of money ever since the woman had disappeared on her wedding day, and now she was calling for more money. Damn, this girl was something else. "Hey, how can that little money be enough? I've lived away from home for a while

"Are you fucking crazy? Do you want to die so badly?!” A voice yelled, snapping Sandra out of her trance. Her blood was whirring so fast in her body, that all she could see was a starry night. She felt her legs weaken and all the air leave her lungs, from the shock that she was almost hit by a van. She wasn't sure what she needed to do, so when she heard the voice, she just closed her eyes for a moment, to regain her composure. She knew she looked crazy, considering there was a man yelling at her, saying things that she wasn't even interested in. All this time, she only had one thought, her damned sister. Her head hurt suddenly and she put her head in her arms before squatting, on the sidewalk to regain her composure. She hated what had happened to her, and wished there was another way out of this. She had been too preoccupied with everything that was happening that she had forgotten that she had a life to live too. "Dammit, are you even listening to me?” the voice kept yel

Now that Scarlet was back in town, she could get her identity back and wouldn't have to live as her ungrateful sister. She looked like she was thinking on overdrive and Aztec wasn't the least bit elated by that. He had saved her, the least she could do was appreciate the gesture, no? "I have just saved your life, don't you want to say something to me?" Aztec said to Sandra in the same tone she was using with him. He was disappointed, but he knew she was startled and maybe that's why she was in that state, but what if it was because she just didn't want to see his face? "Fine, thank you," Sandra said expressionlessly, her mind while elsewhere. She couldn't believe what had just happened and wished she could get an explanation. Aztec on the other hand looked satisfied with Sandr’s response and smiled at her, making her an offer. "Do you want to have lunch with me?" “No. I still have work and you have work too. Besides, you have no business being here at this time,” Sandra said befor

[AZTEC] "He divorced me, remember?” Sandra argued and Rodrigo just let out a deep chuckle."Divorced you? Girl, you’re everything to him. You even have shares in your name at the house of Marshall. If anything he gave you the second largest shares in the company and even had an asset finance account for you. “If he really divorced you, and if that was just alimony then why did he take his time to make sure that it was in the right spot? Why would he pay too much attention to the little details and keep everything the way it needed to be then? “He worships you, Gina. He believed in you and you are everything to him. Even after the year ended, he never filed for a divorce. Instead, he bought properties and put them in his name and yourself. “He said that he was hoping that maybe someday, if he never met you again, maybe the finances and the wealth in your name would be enough of an apology for what he did to you. [AZTEC]“Sir, do you need anything?” a nurse said, as she tapped Aztec who was sleeping on the cold benches. For the rest of the day, the young Marshall had not even gotten up, let alone even making a move from where he had been laying. He had stared at the same spot, waiting and listening. He had heard when the general came to his daughters and even when the general checked out. He had heard the hospital was scheduled and frankly him being there worried people a lot. He looked tired and fatigued even though he had been sleeping."No, I’m alright, thank you,” Aztec said as he went back to sleep. He was hungry and hadn't eaten shit in so many hours. He had been too busy worrying about Sandra and Gemma and he couldn't even think of something else. "But sir, you’ve been sleeping here the whole day. Are you okay? [AZTEC] For hours, Aztec Marshall sat in the hospital waiting room on the ground floor, while his wife and Gemma were on the third floor. He wanted to go to them, but he was also worried that he would be a little too possessive of his mate and they would send him away. He didn't want to do that to them and he didn't want to be kicked out of the hospital. He was going to be diligent, even though he could see people taking photos of him. Thanks to his popularity and everything that related with his life, Aztec had become an internet topic. Everyone was gushing over him for being brave and wanted to thank him in person, and on the other hand, he was cuddled up on one of the waiting benches, sick and tired. He hadn't slept in weeks and he didn't remember the last time he ever slept. His nights and days were filled with Sandra, though it was somewhat heartbreaking that the woman he wanted so much hated him."Where are my daughters?” General Stevens came to the hospital a few hours afte

[AZTEC] The nation was busy, everyone was having all eyes on the Franzels and the Marshalls. There were so many things happening at the same time, but none of them could have prepared anyone for the impact that Sandra Franzel had on them all. For starters, she had been the reason Scarlet had been murdered by Aztec, an act that would eventually be investigated, but the chances of the Franzels coming out and saying that their alpha was the one who had murdered their daughter were close to none. They had betrayed their alpha first and that was grounds for treason in the werewolf culture. They didn't stand a chance. They knew that they didn't have any other option left because with Aztec Marshall, it was either death or death. Nothing else came in between especially when it came to the Luna he was still hoping to bring to his side. The alpha was raging, there were explosions which also meant that the military was eventually going to be involved."Gemma, don't leave this hospital. I wil

[AZTEC]It wasn't daily that explosions were experienced in one of the most secure buildings in the city of Adamera, not to mention the sheer fact that Sandra, Aztec’s ex had been the one targeted. That wasn't coincidence, and even the blind to the situation could see it all too. It was crazy, because everyone knew not to go against Aztec Marshall."I will take care of her well. I always have,” Logan said, making Aztec grit his teeth. He didn’t like Logan and frankly the same could be said for the medical personnel too. He wasn't a fan of Aztec from the moment he and Gemma had learned that Sandra was being forced into a contract marriage with the man. Of course as usual they had tried to give Sandra options but then her parents had been insistent, and Sandra had also figured that there was no point in trying to run away from her horrible reality. That was because no matter what she did, she would always come back to that point of helplessness. She never wanted to burden her friends

[AZTEC]"I'll kill them,” Aztec managed out when he reached the company and saw the explosion. He could still see the damage there. The pavements were filled with wish shards, and the car had been blown to bits. Everyone was checking on everyone, and those that were hit by the shards were trying to get some medical care. There were still no paramedics, save for the pack members who had come to help the people who had been hurt. It had been a command by the pack’s beta, Rodrigo and so far, they were doing so well. Everyone seemed busy, and Gemma was studying the car for anything and everything that could tell them who their attacker was. She was checking where the explosion had started from and what had happened. Sure she knew that someone was trying to send a message, but even in her state, she was hoping that she could be of help to the people there.“I’ll kill them all,” Aztec whispered agAin as he took in the sight before him. He had had the chance to step up, to get her back, to fight for her.He had promised to give her a good life at the altar, and while that had been an illusion for a moment, he should have been kinder to her.
