Chapter 11 - Believed to be Extinct

A knock on the heavy wooden door broke the silence in the private office of the Alpha King of the West. “Enter,” Maxton called, his voice calm but firm. He placed down the book he had been reading regarding wild plants that were already extinct for centuries, or believed to be extinct as the door creaked open, and one of his messengers, a young werewolf with anxious eyes, stepped into the room. He carried a sealed envelope, its wax emblem bearing the mark of the Ruler of the Northern Packs.

“Your Majesty,” the messenger said, bowing deeply. “A report from the Northern Packs has arrived. It seems urgent.”

Maxton gestured for him to approach. The messenger hurried forward, placing the envelope on the desk before retreating a few steps back. Maxton broke the seal and opened the envelope, his eyes scanning the lines of hastily written text. As he read, his expression darkened, his jaw tightening with each word.

Chapter 12 - In HeatThe dead leaves rustled beneath the soles of the Alpha King’s wolf as he ran down the hill where he howled at the full moon shining above the forest. The full moon urged the wolves to reveal themselves and take over their human counterparts, to honor the Moon Goddess and glorify her. However, at full moon is also when the mate bond is at the strongest, driving the werewolves in heat, whether when they shift back to their human form or as wolves in the woods. It was a good thing for those who had mates, but for those who did not, they would endure the burning pain or find a way to release the tension in them.Despite having a harem for the Alpha King, since he had met his mate, he already stopped visiting the harem’s chambers in the palace. But the power of the full moon that tugs the mate bond and drives the werewolf into heat can not be underestimated.Maxton went straight to the King’s palace and asked for Hailey of the Nightshade Pack to attend to him in his of

I heard you two have already met,” the Queen Mother, Luna Poline, remarked as she walked beside her son, her voice carrying a tone of both suggestion and subtle insistence. She was dressed in a beige sheath dress with a pearl necklace that rested elegantly against her collarbone, her expression poised yet expectant.Alpha King Maxton’s jaw tightened, his irritation barely concealed. He continued his brisk pace toward his car, his mind already on the upcoming meeting. He did not have time for this conversation, nor the patience to indulge his mother’s persistent prodding on the matter.“I have more important things to deal with right now, Mother,” he replied curtly, his eyes fixed ahead. His tone was sharp, and dismissive, making it clear he was not interested in continuing the discussion.Luna Poline was unfazed by his reaction, and she kept up with him. “I understand you

Chapter 14 - She’s IdentifiedAlpha Maxton arrived at the King’s Palace of the Northern Packs, and was greeted by Alpha King Janoer, a tall, broad shouldered man in his early thirties, with jet-black hair cut short on the sides and left slightly longer on top. His clean shaven jaw was strong, and his piercing blue eyes, framed by dark brows, held both authority and intelligence. He wore a tailored black suit with a crisp white shirt, the silver emblem of the Northern Pack was a howling wolf against a mountain backdrop, pinned to his lapel.“Maxton,” Janoer greeted, his voice a deep rumble. “Welcome. It has been too long since we have met under more pleasant circumstances.”“Indeed, Janoer,” Maxton replied, offering a firm handshake. “But these are times that demand our full attention. I appreciate you agreeing to meet on such short notice.”Janoer nodded, his expression grim. “The matter of the purple drug is not something we can afford to take lightly. Come, let’s sit and discuss.”T

She could feel their eyes on her, even when she was simply tending to the flowers in the shop. While she hadn’t seen Antler as frequently as before, his absence was replaced by new faces—strangers who tried to blend into the background but failed to escape her notice. On occasion, she would catch a glimpse of Antler, lurking from a distance, his gaze fixed on her from another building.Anxiety clawed at her, Her decision to move to the Northern Capital City, which she had hoped would bring her safety and security, now felt like a grave mistake. Instead of finding refuge, she felt as if she had stepped into a trap, surrounded by unfamiliar dangers in a city that was supposed to be her sanctuary.“I need to move,” she muttered to herself as he placed down a pot of plant on the floor, brushing her palm down to her pants. But she had no

His smile was warm, his tone reassuring as he spoke to her in a friendly manner, feeding her with lies while guiding her through the narrow, darkened streets toward a nearby building where he claimed his car was parked. She followed him, thinking he was the only escape she had. Taking a leap of faith on the man who claimed to be her mate’s friend; reasoning that it would be better to cross the Alpha King Maxton — her mate, than unknown evil werewolves out there who would show her no mercy. She thought and she hoped her mate would be a lesser evil. And she may be right about that… but she was following the wrong person.“Maxton sent me to keep an eye on you,” Antler explained as they walked, his voice smooth, dripping with false sincerity. “He knew you would be in danger, especially here in the Northern Capital. Chapter 17 - Captured to Weaponize“Ah, you are awake,” a man's voice crackled through the hidden speakers.Georgia blinked rapidly, her eyes adjusting to the harsh light of the room. Everything around her was a solid color of white, there were no windows, only sealed vents, and just a small cubicle with a toilet and bath in a corner, and a single bed with sheets as white as the walls around her. The light blue scrub suit she wore was the only bit of color provided. But what really drew her attention was the wall with the one way mirror. She could see her reflection, but she could feel that someone was on the other side, watching her, observing her. She walked toward the mirror and tapped her forefinger, assessing if she could break it someday, somehow.“Where am I?” she demanded, her voice rough from disuse, echoing slightly in the empty space as she turned and roamed her eyes around. And she was fully aware now that her eyes had been uncovered, revealed to everyone watching behind t

Chapter 18 - Kill, Show Us BloodWith a surge of defiance, Georgia’s eyes flared, and she focused on the tray of instruments. To the shock of the men in the room, the tray lifted into the air, hovering as if guided by invisible hands. Their eyes widened in terror as the syringe filled with Soulbane hovered dangerously close to one of their necks.Behind the one-way mirror, Harrion, Antler, and Sergio stared in amazement at the screen. The raw power Georgia wielded was beyond anything they had imagined, they heard about it in research papers, but to see it in person was something. This was just a taste of it, how much more could she do?“She is incredible,” Sergio muttered, a mix of awe and fear in his voice.Harrion’s grin widened. “Yes, she is. And she is ours now.”The two men inside the room with Georgia took hesitant steps backward, but the door behind them remained closed, trapping them inside with the increasingly dangerous woman.Determined to escape, Georgia turned her focus t

The two men held each other’s gaze for a moment longer than necessary, an unspoken tension lingering between them.As they exchanged pleasantries, Harrion’s mind was already elsewhere. He had attended this dinner for one reason only — to maintain the facade that had taken years to build, centuries even. He had played the part of the loyal cousin, the trusted business partner like his father did, and his grandfather, and another grandfather before it, for far too long, and tonight was no different. This island will always be here for her.”Maxton paused, considering Yenari’s words. This was not about their territorial instincts or jealousy; it was about Georgia’s safety, her peace, and he would consider whatever refuge was offered to make her safe. “I appreciate that,” he said, sincerely. Her fingers lingered on her collar, her heartbeat finally slowing, her breath no longer a ragged thing in her chest. As she glanced at Maxton, she found him similarly composed, his hands running over his shirt, face now a mask of calm readiness. The silence between them held everything left unsaid, the intense moment that had shared already spoke so much, enough for them to understand each other. She gave one final tug to her skirt and nodded to Maxton as they decided to walk out of the cave as if nothing had happened. His hand rested on her back as together they stepped back toward the beach.Yenari, and everyone else who waited for them turned their eyes on their

He moved his other hand to lift her left leg, giving more access for his finger to go deeper into her pussy as he pumped his fingers slowly at first, his thumb brushing over her clit, making her tremble and weak, and her pussy tightening around him. “F*ck,” Maxton muttered under his breath, “you feel so tight, baby.” He moved his fingers faster and harder, stretching her, making sure he was wet and open enough for him when he plunge his cock deep into her. The thought made his cock twitch, throbbing, a pr

Chapter 92 - Desire, Hunger, and NeedGeorgia’s hands moved down his chest, fingers trembling slightly as they slipped under the hem of his shirt, feeling the hard, defined muscles beneath. She had seen him before, topless, when she was under the influence of the Soulbane Drug, but she was out of her own mind that time and could not process what he was, however, the memory remained in her head, and she had never had the chance to touch him like this, and she never knew this was intoxicating. Her palms slid up, pushing his shirt higher until he helped her pull it off, tossing it aside without a care. Her breath hitched at the sight of him, his skin glistening in the dim light, every muscle taut, his chest rising and falling rapidly. She swallowed and could not take her eyes off him. Seeing someone naked was not new to her since wolves shifted back to their human forms naked, but for her, Maxton was causing a different sensation in her, it was driving something hot in her system.Maxton

Chapter 91 - A Desire: Mate Bond’s DemandHis lips brushed hers softly at first, a fleeting touch, testing the waters, and she did not flinch. She did not pull back. If anything, she leaned in, just barely, but it was enough. This subtle response from Georgia was a signal for Maxton to proceed. He pressed his lips to hers again, this time more firmly, the kiss deepening as the floodgates they built within themselves, to protect themselves from each other, broke open, pouring out the desire and feelings they held out for too long. The moment Georgia allowed herself to respond, it was as if something inside her shattered. All the conditions she had set for herself, all the restraint she had been holding onto for so long, unraveled in that kiss. She kissed him back, with a hunger she did not know she had been suppressing. Her fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer as if afraid he might disappear if she did not hold onto him tight enough. Every part of her body se

Chapter 90 - The Need to Feel HerMaxton’s hand moved to her arm, his fingers brushing her skin gently, and he could feel her shiver at the contact. He stepped even closer as he spoke softly to her, trying to comfort her in a way he could at the moment, to ease the burden she was carrying. He had already suspected before that she chose to disappear in a way that she had wanted to end her life because he had seen that that was the kind of girl she was, who was willing to save everyone by ending her life. He had seen it before when she cut her own arm and let herself bleed out in order to save him from her own hands, and she did it again, drowned herself, not only to escape her sins, but also to spare the Maxton and his region from getting attacked because of her, for as centuries had shown, silver eyed werewolves were and had always been hunted down, and she did not want to put Maxton and his region at risk of those attacks just because of her.“The war is over, Georgia. The region has

Chapter 89 - Take You Back Home“You’re sure about this?” Yenari asked as he watched Georgia stand there, staring out at the beach where Maxton and his men were waiting after she had made the decision to face him, so that she would not have any regrets in the end. The wind played with her hair, but her face was still, yet her eyes were distant and there was a hint of something uncertain in her gaze. Initially, she was sure that she wanted to stay, and remain on the island, but after she had seen Maxton, helpless and longing, it tugged something in her heart, and just his mere presence already made her waver with her initial resolve.Georgia swallowed, her lips parting as she struggled to find the words. “I need to talk to him,” she said, finally. “If I don’t... this won’t end, I could not ever make peace with myself and the one that I left behind,” she added.Yenari hesitated, his jaw clenching. “I won’t let them take you if you don’t want to go,” he said firmly. “Remember that.”She

And there is another one beneath it, blue, with a crest we don’t recognize."Yenari's jaw ticked. Le Roma? Here? Without warning? He stepped out of his hut, scanning the distant horizon. Sure enough, a sleek yacht was cutting through the waves, growing larger with each passing second as it got closer to the island. It glided across the water and many of the villagers gathered at the shore out of curiosity, asking themselves who was arriving for they were not informed that there would be incoming visitors of the island."Call the men," Yenari commanded sharply. Chapter 87 - Journey to the IslandOne afternoon, Georgia found herself sitting under the shade of a coconut tree, watching the sun glint off the gentle waves. She was shelling peanuts for a local dish, her hands working mechanically while her mind drifted into the far sea, like a canoe sailing in the middle of the vast blues. It was moments like these when the past crept up on her, unbidden. She could almost see Maxton’s face, the way his eyes would harden whenever he was deep in thought, she had only known him for a brief time, encountered him while she was under Harrion’s control, but those memories she was with him while bound by the dark magic remained. She wondered what he would think if he saw her now, barefoot and sun-kissed, so different from the pale fierce soldier of Harrion that had slaughtered lives. Would he even recognize her? Would he want to? She tried t
