None of us moved or even spoke a single word as we looked down at the little hole in front of us, the more I would look, the more lost I became due to how pitch black the hole was. With a closer look, I spot there were a set of metal stairs dug into the wall of the bunker allowing one person at a time to walk down there.

“By the looks of it, it seems as though it’s a rather tight fit.” Emmett said who was still standing over the deep hole looking down, but his comment does snap me out of my thoughts and allowed me to walk forward to see for myself.

“It’s clear none of you will be able to fit down there but I think I will.” I say looking into the deep hole where I couldn’t even see the bottom, who knows what could be down there, it’s been deserted for maybe twenty years, what if other things have claimed it as theirs?

“I am not allowing you to travel down there alone, we do not know what could be waiting for you at the bottom.” Archer tells me taking my hand as though I was going

It was as though we were both frozen in place as we stare back at each other, the water around us flowing by our feet and the shouts of Archer’s orders to return in my mind seemed to fade away as he and I continued with our eye contact. I was much too overcome with shock at who I was seeing and for him, he was shocked that someone else had learned the location of this secret bunker and joined him down here. “FERN!” Archer’s loud shout now not in my mind rumbles from the entrance of the bunker and traveled down the halls, the water seeming to rush as the power of his voice rippled through the tide. This seems to snap Darren from his trance where he steps forward in a panic and throws me out of the way, my body and head smacking into the walls of the tunnel and landing with a scream and a splash on the bottom. Instantly, I’m covered in the most freezing waters I have felt which sent a shock wave through my body, my scream only alerting those at the surface that much more. Now I wa

As like he had said, Archer took me back to the pack house, ran me a warm bath, helped me get changed and was now off to find some medical supplies to dress the mini wound on my head. This meant I was sat on the edge of our bed alone, allowing my troubling thoughts to only spiral that much more. I still couldn’t quite understand why Darren would be there and how he would even know that bunker existed, it’s something I know not only my mother but apparently, Archer’s father took every precaution to ensure it was never discovered. I wish I could have stayed down there a little longer and saw for myself what Darren had been working on, but I knew how Darren even having access to that place was abnormal in itself and I needed to try and speak to him. The sheer panic which was on his face when he saw me also wasn’t sitting right, he and I had been somewhat friends for many years, I had met him the many summers I would stay at Alpha Aidan’s pack. He was truly one of my best friends back

The earliest memories that a person holds should be some of the most treasured, perhaps a little picnic that you and your family went on, a wanderer's day out that brings you such immense joy whenever it pops into your mind. But for me, my earliest memory is of pain and despair, it's my earliest yet my most agonising memory that I hold. When I was only a young child, our peaceful little pack was attacked one night by the infamously cruel Dark Warrior Pack. They not only took us for everything that we had but took one of the purest people to grace this earth. The one person who sacrificed her own life to save that of her children. My feet skipped along the frozen cobblestone path leading from the pack house, my mind consumed with excitement for what this day would bring. The freezing temperatures of winter pricked my rosey cheeks as I skipped, along with my breath emitting an icy cloud of mist, I couldn’t help the giggles that escaped my lips. “Fern hunny, please put your cardigan on

That night I stepped out of the pack house and into the pitch black, my father had just given me the rundown of which traps needed to go where and what I should look out for. But as he spoke, all I could think was how I had the easier job, I just had to stand there and make sure no one from The Dark Warrior Pack find us and if they did, alarm everyone so we can get out of there. As I took a deep breath in, I couldn’t help but feel a slight sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach, but it wasn’t one of dread or panic, but full of anticipation. It was as though deep down in my being, I knew something was going to happen tonight, something life changing. I shook the feeling off and put my game face on, my father was trusting me to get this done and I couldn’t let him down. “Alright, the Alpha wants this done as efficiently as possible, we need to be in and out of that place before any of them can blink, you got it?” I ask looking at all the fighters that would be executing this job wi

After waving goodbye to Hadwin for the night, I returned to my bedroom to get some much-needed rest after the eventful day that I had endured. But no matter how long I lay in bed and forced sleep, it never came. All that was rushing through my head was the thought of my mate, his bright blue eyes were all I could see when I would close mine.
I tossed and turned trying to force the image of his face out of my head, but each time I was met with resistance from my wolf. She was beyond angry that I had ran from my mate rather than run into his arms, but she was only thinking about the mate aspect, I had the problem of my father hating every single person in that pack more than anything on this earth. But that was not the only issue with us meeting, it was the circumstances that we met under which is bringing more issues to the surface.
He caught me and the other men setting traps in his pack border which whole purpose was to inflicted harm on him and any of his pack members, that doesn’t s

As I entered the pack house through the back door, I find it was in total chaos. Many of the pack members were running around in a panicked state attempting to find a place to hide, most holding tiny children who looked as terrified as the ones holding them.
My breathing was heavy as I looked around for my own hiding place, I can’t allow this Alpha to find me, what if he doesn’t want me as a mate and is just angry because I was one of the people who set the traps?! I stood in the middle of the lobby while many ran past me, it felt like a blur and time had sped up for everyone around me, but I was still stuck in the moment.
Someone taking my arm and pulling me slightly is what snapped me from my trance, initially, I was worried that I had been too slow, and the angry Alpha had his chance to grab me. But when I saw Hadwin’s worried face looking down at me, I knew I had a little more time to panic.
“Fern, why are you just standing there, you need to find a place to hide before the invader

I freeze in place, my breath hitching in my throat as the Alpha remained behind me, his whole aroma caused my wolf to purr in my head and attempt to force me to melt into him more. His muscular arms wrapped around my body, showing me the many beautiful pieces of artwork that he had tattooed onto his forearms. As I place my hand on his arm in attempts to free myself from his grasp, a million tiny sparks begin to dance up my skin and spread throughout my entire being. This action only causing my wolf to purr even louder and beg for me to fall right into his arms, but to her dismay, that was something I was not going to do. “Let me go!” I say beginning to fight against him, but this only caused the Alpha to grip me even harder than before, I guess he doesn’t only have those rippling muscles for show. “And why would I do that, you’re my mate, now that I have you tightly in my grasp, you will never escape me again.” He whispers in a chuckle like tone close to my ear again, this action

The walk back to The Dark Warrior Pack was long, I assumed when we were far away enough from my father's pack, Archer would have us stop to shift, it would kill the journey time immensely, but he didn’t, not that I would have been able to anyway. When I brought up this topic he simply sniggered, he explained he didn’t know if he trusted me not to run off once again after I shifted. In all honesty, that thought would have crossed my mind if I were to shift, but I also knew I had made a deal that I had to stand by and shifting would only cause even more trouble down the road. “Are you sure this is a wise idea, you didn’t see the fight she put up with some of our men, I don’t know if they’ll take too kindly to her acting as Luna.” One of the fighters who walked beside us asks, I smile not minding if Archer changed his mind so I could head home. “I mean if it’s going to be an issue, I will happily go back.” I say shrugging my shoulders whilst turning around, but due to me still being

With the map tightly in my hand, I lead all the guys over to where I predicted this bunker to be hidden. Archer walked beside me with his hand tightly clutching onto mine, Emmett stood beside him with a shovel in case we would need to dig it out and my family stood beside me. We all saw the confused or surprised stares from the many pack members we would pass, it was common knowledge especially, after I came here that these two packs and Alpha’s hated each other. So now to see us all walking in a line and Emmett even holding a shovel, I knew most were coming up with some outlandish theories as to what they believed was happening. The closer that we came to the bunker, the more my brain began to try and work out what could he down there. My mother gave me hardly any information, only that this folder would give me all the answers that I needed, but as I held the contents of the folder in my arms, I was more than confused at what I found. The sound of the rushing water from the ri

“What is?” Emmett asked who still stood beside the shelve looking through his own box, while I got to my feet and hurriedly, made my way over to him. “I remember seeing that symbol when I was sorting through everything, I had seen it on the front of some old folder deep in a mountain of paperwork. I thought it looked cool but still had a ton more paperwork to sort, so I didn’t pay much attention to it.” I explain before coming to a stop right beside Emmett to stare at the box in question, as like the time I had climbed to reach the final box when I sorted through it all, the box was right at the very top. I once again began to mentally ask myself how I was going to get the box down, now I’ve had experience with this shelve, the idea of climbing each section as though it was a set of stairs seemed like the best option. Archer seeming to know exactly what I was thinking, gets up from his chair behind his desk and swiftly, makes his way over to me. “With what happened the last time

When that sentence left my lips, each man held a mixture of shock and confusion in their expressions, before they subsequently, looked at each other asking if they all thought the same thing, I was going crazy! Ripping the blanket from my legs, I begin to play the dream out and all my mother said to me around my mind, so I didn’t forget a thing, whilst Archer remained in his crouched position looking over at me with worry in his eyes. “What do you mean?” He asks taking my hand in his as he spoke, whilst I knew I was sounding crazy for believing it all, I knew in my heart of hearts that I had spoken to my mother, she was saying things I don’t believe my mind in that sleep state would be able to dream up. “I was speaking to mother; I know how that sounds, and you all will either say I was dreaming, or the stress of this situation is playing with my head but I’m not. I woke up laying here and none of you were with me, but mother was, I was panicked but she soon calmed me down and tol

The sound of such intense ringing in my ears jolts me from my sleep, jumping up a little from the mini sofa which Archer keeps in his office, I come to find that I was the only person in the room. Not my family, Emmett or even Archer remained in the room with me, this not only worrying me but also angering me slightly, how dare they leave me in the room whilst they’re off gallivanting somewhere! Before I had time to boil in my anger and turn around to go and find said disrespectful men and tell them a thing or two about manners, I feel a second presence in the room with me. Such a feeling made goosebumps begin to form along my back and down my arms as though I had walked into a freezing cold freezer and my body was reacting in a way to preserve heat. But this time as I did a second scan of the room in hopes of finding the source of this off feeling, I soon find something that not only confirmed why I was feeling the way that I did but shook me deep to my core. My mother, the one

The hours seemed to tick by ever so slowly, due to the past relationship the two packs held, it was vital that we go over each and every section of the treaty to ensure each understand the terms to prevent any confusion or anger in the years to come. I had used my powers today more than I had ever before, back at the training grounds with Archer and now when I needed to teach that disrespectful asshole a lesson. I had yet to fully grasp my powers and understand how to control them, this meant each time I used them, I was taking more and more of my energy and throwing into the sea! Now I was left sitting back in my chair forcing my eyes not to drop close as Emmett’s voice continued to read the terms out loud whilst we all followed along. “The reasoning for such a treaty was due to many factors, Alpha Cameron’s Daughter Luna Fern, now mated to Alpha Archer. But also, the growing threat from the King, this section of the treaty will not be public knowledge for obvious reasons.” Emmet

After Archer and I had concluded the special kind of discussion, he wished us to have, he was called away to go and deal with some rouge that had been found at the edge of the border. We were both a little confused for a moment, normally, the border guards deal with rouges and only give a report to the Alpha and Luna at the end of the month detailing how many had appeared in case it becomes a problem. The guards expressed how this rouge had been saying some peculiar things, so they deemed it appropriate for the Alpha to go and speak with the rouge and find out what was happening. So, whilst Archer left to deal with some odd rouge, I went along with Emmett to his office to prepare for the peace treaty meeting we’ll be having with my family, which had already been postponed for an hour. All I could seem to do was sit on Archer’s chair, staring up at the ceiling with my mind doing many laps. I had been so overcome with an ungodly amount of rage when that man was speaking, I didn’t ta
