Ariane’s POV
Mark just stood there, as if he didn’t get my hint. “I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I worry about you sometimes, you know,” he said, his tone more affectionate.I really didn’t know how to respond. On one hand, I appreciated his concern, but on the other, I felt like I needed to distance myself and focus on my work, especially given the mood I’d been in for the past month.“Thanks, Mark, but I’m fine. Now, if you don’t mind, I need to get on with my work,” I said firmly, hoping it would push him out of my mind. After a few long seconds, she finally nodded. “Okay, I’ll go. But if you need any help or want to talk, feel free to call me,” she said, before turning to leave.I let out a sigh of relief. The tiredness and tension from that interaction began to subside. Now, my focus was on finishing my work and going back to my apartment to be with my two daughters whom I had left all day.By the way, so far I havAriane’s POV “Does that mean the Blue Moon Pack forces led by my father have defeated the Black Moon Pack forces?” I asked, trying to calm the tension in my mind. If so, this was a very serious situation and could change a lot of things between all of us. My mother didn’t seem too concerned. “That seems true. They are always looking for opportunities to gain power. And now, Leon is in danger,” she replied, her voice flat, devoid of emotion. A mixture of emotions filled my heart. Even though Leon was a part of my past that I wanted to forget, hearing that he was dying made me feel trapped in a complicated situation. Should I feel sorry for him? Should I help him or just let him get hurt? “This is a complicated situation, Mom. Why are you telling me this now? Do you expect me to feel sorry for you?” I said, still in a harsh tone. For me, it wasn’t just about Leon. Deep down, it was also about my compulsion to come to terms with a past that I didn’t
Ariane’s POV Unfortunately, my children are only a month old, and they certainly don't know what a picnic is. Even so, I talked about the plan in the context of the future, when they are older and can be sensitive to their surroundings. I just want to give the best for my two daughters, creating beautiful memories that they will remember when they can understand the world better. The next day, I woke up early and started preparing breakfast for myself as a provision for work. Meanwhile, for the babysitters, I let them cook or buy their own food. They were already quite independent and self-sufficient, so I felt like this was the right decision. After getting everything ready, I looked at the clock and realized that time was running out. “I’m going now,” I said, gently touching my two daughters’ heads. At that time, they were sound asleep in their beds. Before I left, I kissed my two daughters softly, savoring the warm moment. “Mommy will be back soo
Ariane’s POV I approached some people who seemed to be gathered around the decorations. "Excuse me, do you know who's getting married today?" I asked casually, trying not to show that I was nervous. Someone in the crowd smiled and replied, "Oh, it's Isabella from the Rinaldi family. She is so beautiful, and this wedding is a big event that has been awaited!”The Rinaldi family? The name was familiar to my ears. Could this be the same half-sister? It was almost hard to believe. So, maybe this was the same Isabella’s wedding but beyond my expectations. I felt mixed feelings, on one hand happy to hear that she was getting married, on the other hand I felt confused about our relationship that had been full of conflict. So, how should I deal with all this? If this was my half-sister, how would I feel about attending her wedding after our past? Would I be invited to this event, and if so, how would I adapt to the situation?Every thought
Ariane’s POV I wore a purple dress, although there is a perception that purple is often associated with someone who has lost a partner, I chose to wear it because I felt comfortable and confident. After all, no matter what other people say, I am myself, and my widow status does not define who I am.After getting ready, I headed to the restaurant with a little bit of anxiety and excitement. As I entered, a warm atmosphere greeted me. Several tables were decorated with flowers and cheerful decorations, while the sounds of laughter and music drifted softly around me. As I stepped inside, the owner of the flower shop greeted me with a big smile. “You look beautiful, Ariane,” she said, a compliment that made me feel a little more confident. “Thank you,” I replied, feeling a little more relieved by her greeting. The event began, and the atmosphere grew more lively as the other guests began to arrive. I saw a few familiar faces, including some of
Ariane’s POV “Thank you, Mark. I appreciate your kind intentions,” I replied, feeling mixed feelings. Even though I tried to keep my distance, I couldn’t deny that his concern made me feel appreciated. We had a brief conversation before we parted ways. Mark’s face was still smiling and hopeful, but as I walked home, my mind was spinning with questions about our relationship. What does he really want from me? The question kept nagging at me. From his attitude and the attention he showed, it seemed like Mark did have feelings for me beyond friendship. But was I ready to start a new relationship after everything that had happened?I remembered the past, when the love that had come into my life was painful. I had struggled to heal and was now raising my two daughters. I knew that nothing could be forced. Is there room for rekindling my heart and giving it a new chance? After this unexpected event and encounter, I realized that even though I w
Ariane’s POV I had prepared special seats for them, complete with small pillows and cute bowls. The joy made my heart flutter. “Now, let’s try, shall we?” I said excitedly, holding the spoon that was ready.I started feeding Zara the vegetable puree first. Her expression was cheerful when the food touched her tongue, and it was clear that she liked it. “Hmm, yummy!” I said encouragingly, happy to see positive signs from my first daughter. However, when I tried to feed Zoya, a different reaction appeared. She pushed my spoon away and moved her face away, looking uninterested in the food I offered. “Oh, it’s okay, honey. Let’s try again, come on,” I said softly, trying not to feel disappointed.Mona saw the situation and came closer. “Ariane, this is normal. Every baby has preferences and it usually takes a few tries before they are willing to try something new. Don’t worry!” she said in a supportive tone.“That’s true, isn’t it?” I replied, f
Ariane’s POV “No, I have decided to take two days off,” I answered confidently. “Today I want to accompany my two daughters to eat complementary foods for breast milk. This is an important moment, and I want to learn with them.”Lia smiled, understanding my decision. “That’s a good choice, Ariane. Every moment with her is a precious opportunity.”“That’s right,” I said, feeling proud of myself. “And tomorrow, I have also planned to go to Black Moon Pack to meet Leon.”Lia’s gaze turned a little serious, “Oh, right. That will be a big step. Are you ready to do it?”I nodded, even though I had mixed feelings. “I know this is an important step. Even though there are a lot of feelings and memories involved, I want to make sure that I do my best for my daughter. And I want to confirm Leon’s condition as well.”Lia nodded. “Be careful. Make sure to take care of yourself while you’re there. Whatever happens, remember that you’re not alone
Ariane’s POV “From the previous guest, we’ve only received a little information about his condition. If you’d like, we can go with you to his house,” Regina said, offering support.I nodded, trying to calm myself. “Yes, thank you, Regina. I need to see him and talk to him.”We walked side by side to the house where Leon was being cared for. Every step was hard, but there was new hope for our future—the future I wanted for my daughters, and maybe, for Leon. I walked towards Leon's house, with each step carrying a mixture of hope and anxiety. The house used to be ours, but after the divorce, its spirit seemed to change; now it was just Leon's house. Seeing the building made me smile and feel pain at the same time. When I entered, my gaze immediately fell on Leon who was lying weakly on the bed, looking very vulnerable with various wounds that were still clearly visible. If I didn't know, maybe I wouldn't recognize him. The eyes that we
Ariane’s POVZoya smiled widely, “We love it too, Mom! Especially if we can play on the beach after breakfast.”“Right! We can build sandcastles or play beach volleyball,” Zara added, her eyes sparkling with excitement. After breakfast, we all headed to the beach. The soft white sand felt warm beneath our feet. Zara and Zoya immediately ran towards the water, while Mark and I followed behind. We laughed and joked, feeling the simple yet precious joy.Mark looked at me. “Look, Dad! I can make a bigger sandcastle than yesterday!” Zoya exclaimed, starting to dig in the sand with her bare hands.Zara nodded in agreement, “Let’s build it together! We can add the shells we found yesterday.”We all got involved in creating a grand sandcastle. Every shell we found became a decoration to beautify the castle. As the sun rose higher, we had successfully built a magnificent sandcastle, complete with towers and sturdy walls.Savoring melt
Ariane’s POV “Look how happy they are,” Mark whispered. “You are the reason behind their smiles.”I looked at the kids, gratitude filling my heart. I knew my life might not be perfect, but the love I had was everything. I promised myself to keep fighting, not just for myself, but for my family.“Thank you, Mark,” I said sincerely. “For always being here for me.”“Forever, Ariane,” Mark replied, gazing at me with love. “We’ll face anything together.”With renewed spirit, I moved forward, ready to tackle every challenge that came our way. I knew that although life was full of uncertainties, the love and support of my family would always be the light guiding me.That night, the sky was adorned with twinkling stars, creating a magical atmosphere at the beach. The waves gently crashed, as if singing a lullaby to anyone who listened. I, Luna, stood at the edge of the shore, feeling the cool night breeze brush against my face. This was
Ariane’s POVNot long after, Mark rushed in. His face showed deep panic, and I could feel how much he loved us. He immediately came to me, holding my hand gently. "Honey, how are you? Has the doctor told you anything?"I shook my head. "Not yet. Still waiting for the test results."Mark sighed, and I could see the burden he carried. He always tried to be the pillar of strength for us, and I knew how hard it was for him to see me in this state.Zoya, who had been playing in the corner, now approached. "Mom, I want to draw for you," she said cheerfully, trying to divert our attention. She pulled out her sketchbook and colored pencils from her bag and began drawing with enthusiasm.Watching Zoya so cheerful eased my worries a bit. She reminded me that even though life was full of challenges, there was still happiness to be found within it. I tried to stay positive, although the shadows of fear continued to haunt me.After a while, the do
Ariane’s POVI chose to follow both of them, feeling the excitement around us. The sounds of footsteps, laughter from children, and soft music from a nearby café added to the atmosphere. Every corner of the mall seemed to offer something interesting. We paused briefly in front of a food stand, where the spicy and sweet aromas of street food enticed our appetites."How about we try some snacks after this?" I suggested, hoping to satisfy my hunger. Zara and Zoya nodded in agreement, our exploratory spirit growing stronger. We continued this little adventure with high curiosity, ready to find a restaurant that could satisfy our bellies and provide us with unforgettable experiences. After a while, Zara emerged from the bookstore with two novels in her hands. "Mom, this is the book I was looking for!" she exclaimed with a wide smile. I was thrilled to see her so excited. Meanwhile, Zoya appeared from the clothing store with several dresses she had tried on. "Mom, lo
Ariane’s POVTime truly flies. It feels like just yesterday I was carrying Zara and Zoya as toddlers, and now they are entering their vibrant teenage years. At 15, my twin daughters have grown into beautiful girls with unique personalities. Zara, always cheerful and full of energy, often becomes the center of attention. Meanwhile, Zoya, who is quieter and more introspective, has a charm of her own that makes many want to get to know her better. As we sat together in the living room, Zara suddenly broke the silence. "Mom, there's a boy who's been approaching me," she said, her face flushing red. I could see how nervous she was, but there was also a sparkle of happiness in her eyes. "He's nice, but I'm confused, Mom. What should I do?"I smiled, feeling proud yet worried. "Zara, you don't have to rush. Try to get to know him better. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and safe with him," I replied, recalling my own teenage years.Zara n
Ariane’s POV We immediately began planning every detail. Rani took out her phone and started recording our voices, while Mark and I prepared the tools we would need. We knew our time was limited. The full moon would reach its peak in a few hours, and we had to be ready. As the night grew late, we moved toward the location we had chosen. It was an open field surrounded by tall trees. From there, we could see the full moon clearly, and Leon would not be able to hide from its light. When we arrived at the field, the atmosphere felt tense. Rani set her phone on one side, while Mark and I prepared on the other. We waited with bated breath, hoping our plan would succeed. Not long after, we heard heavy footsteps approaching. Leon emerged from behind the trees, his large and intimidating figure. His sharp eyes fixed on us, and I felt fear envelop me. But I knew we couldn't back down now."Now!" Mark shouted, and Rani immediately played the recording
Ariane’s POV Mark paused for a moment, looking at me with eyes full of determination. "We will prepare. We have strength and support from our pack members. We will not let Leon take over."Hearing his words made me feel a little calmer. However, the fear of what might happen in the future couldn’t fully dissipate. Leon was a cunning enemy, and I knew he wouldn’t hesitate to use any means to achieve his goals. The following days were filled with preparations. Mark and I worked together with the other pack members to strengthen our defenses. We held regular meetings, discussing strategies and how to face Leon if he returned. Every night, I stayed awake, listening for sounds outside, hoping no one would approach. When the full moon shone brightly, I felt tension in the air. Mark and I stood on a hilltop, watching our territory. "I can feel something," I said, my voice shaking. "It seems he’s getting close."Mark nodded, his face serious. "We nee
Ariane’s POVEvery attack Mark launched felt like lightning striking, while Leon skillfully dodged and countered with swift strikes. However, as time passed, Mark began to take control. He unleashed all his abilities, exploiting every opening. The shouts of the onlookers watching the fight intensified the spirit of both fighters. When Mark managed to knock Leon down for the first time, cheers erupted around us. But Leon didn’t give up. He got back up, even though he was weary. "I won’t surrender!" he shouted, challenging Mark to continue the fight.Mark, feeling the pressure from Leon’s fighting spirit, caught his breath. He knew this wasn’t just about physical strength, but also about mental resilience. With a swift movement, he launched an attack that sent Leon reeling. In an instant, Mark seized the moment and delivered a final blow that brought Leon crashing to the ground.Leon lay sprawled, his face showing pain and defeat. "This isn’t over," he s
Ariane’s POVThey resembled wolves but had human bodies. “Let me go!” I cried, but unfortunately, they didn’t listen and took me to prison. How shocked I was to find that it was Leon, my ex-husband, who had done all this to me. Mark, my husband, would certainly be worried about me right now.I woke up in darkness, the cold walls surrounding me sending chills down my spine. The rumbling sounds outside my cell reminded me of my father, the late King Alpha. The memory of our last meeting was still fresh in my mind, when he hugged me and promised to always protect me. But now he was gone, and I was trapped in a worse situation.“Leon,” I whispered, the name of my former husband who had now become an enemy. He was someone I once loved, but now he was the traitor who had betrayed my family. Why was he doing this? Why had he brought me here?I tried to struggle, but the bindings on my hands were too tight. Footsteps approached, and the cell door creaked open.
