The Moonlit Meadow spread before Ethan, bathed in silvery light. He proceeded down the same road, his strides light yet full with purpose. Thoughts of Gabriel's revelation and Amelia's hidden background raced in his head like a whirlwind.

Amelia had been silent since he'd learnt the truth, and the tension between them was evident.

"Amelia," he started, his voice quiet, "we need to talk."

She glanced to him, her eyes gleaming with doubt. "I know, Ethan. I owe you an explanation."

He nodded, wanting her to continue.

"I'm not just an ordinary woman," she conceded, her words restrained. "I'm a descendent of the Moon Goddess herself. My family has acted as her earthly protectors for generations."

Ethan's eyes widened in amazement. "The Moon Goddess? But why keep it a secret?"

Amelia sighed, her gaze riveted on the moon overhead. "My family feared that exposing our actual nature would make us a target. We've looked over the Meadow, preserving its charm and the wolves who seek peace here."
