The sparkling light of the full moon lit up the Moonlit Meadow in front of them. Ethan's heart was beating fast as he stood next to Amelia, the woman who had given him both comfort and worry. Alpha Gabriel Rivers, who stood at a respectful distance, never took his eyes off the woman he used to think was his fated mate. His face was a mix of sorrow and determination.

"Ethan," Gabriel said, breaking the tense quiet with a shaky voice. "I know I made a big mistake. I can't live without you, though."

Gabriel's refusal still hurt, so Ethan's jaw tightened. "You said I wasn't good enough," he spat out, trying to keep his anger in check.

Gabriel moved closer, and his eyes seemed to beg. "I made a mistake, Ethan. I let my pride and ego get in the way. I can now see that you are better than enough. You're exactly what I've always wanted."
