Chapter 4 He healed me

Am I more than his daughter to someone?

Raven's POV

After cleaning up I put my things away, grabbing my clothes as I made my way to the kitchens so that I could leave for the evening at a decent hour for a change. Maybe I will get a good night's sleep tonight after I get laundry done back at the house earlier than usual.

Walking through the kitchen when the head Omega called out to me stopping me in my tracks. I turned to face her with my eyes cast down because no one wants me to look them in the eyes.

"You will eat dinner then clean the kitchens again before you are permitted to leave."

I raised my brows before they furrowed in confusion, dinner two nights in a row? I looked up slightly to see a plate being handed to me, I took it to see a full plate of food sitting upon it making my stomach instantly begin growling.

"Thank you Ma'am, I will be quick then clean up."

"Hmph..."

Was all I heard before I watched her feet turn away from me as she walked away, within a few minutes the kitchen was completely empty of anyone besides myself.

Taking a deep breath I slid down the wall over in the corner of the room in case anyone came in so I would basically be invisible, I began eating the dinner that was given to me.

I didn't take my time to savor it this evening like I did the last because I wanted to get the kitchen cleaned up quickly so I could get everything done at the house I still needed to do.

I missed school today too, so I have no idea how much makeup work I was going to have so getting the most done this evening was what I needed to do so I'd have time for homework too, otherwise I won't be seeing sleep for a while.

I finished up eating then quickly cleaned up the kitchen before bolting out to go home. Once there I washed multiple loads of laundry all while going upstairs to clean out our restrooms.

After I finished I plopped onto my thin mattress on the floor passing out cold only for my alarm to start going off signaling it was time to start the day all over again.

Sighing, I rolled out of bed then did what I always do.

After everything at the packhouse I took my path through the woods to head to school, I don't know why I was hoping to see that wolf again, but I was, I liked the comfort or the thought of being seen as more than my father's daughter.

Turning along the path I was almost to the school when I heard a whimper making me look to the side to see him, at first I thought maybe he was hurt which made me worry, but he wasn't limping, no, he whimpered to get my attention without signaling to anyone else.

I couldn't help the small smile that grew on my face when he was there, I slowly walked over to him running my fingers through his fur as he began rubbing his body across mine, he almost knocked me down.

I knew I needed to get to school but I liked being with him, I get safe when he was with me, felt seen as something more than just my father's daughter.

This went on everyday for the entire week, I missed my classes but was never late for my chores, no one ever said anything to me about it or asked why I was at the school. Honestly I wasn't really surprised by it, the no one caring part, but they could also use it to be mean to me, giving me extra work or taking one of my tiny luxuries away, like the dinners.

I've eaten every single night this week, a full dinner. It was crazy to me but I wasn't going to complain at all, it was always something delicious and filled my belly.

The more I met up with the wolf the more I spoke to him about things, like school, or going to university but that I couldn't seem to get in to see the Alpha.

He would growl deeply whenever I spoke of leaving the pack but he'd whimper when I'd remind him of who I was or how I was treated here. Basically why I wanted to leave or how I missed my parents, especially my mother.

I missed the sound of her voice, or the way she smelled after a shower, or how she would read to me every night when I was little before bed. She was my best friend but she left me alone long before she actually left me physically. I had a hole in my heart that could never be filled.

He'd sit there with me, listening to me, making little grunts or growls at the things I would say before leaving me so I could go do my chores again.

I also had been dealing with Alpha Axel a lot lately as well. He always seemed to be in his room when I was there to clean, he wouldn't say much of anything but he did start thanking me when I would finish which I found odd but nice at the same time.

I stopped seeing Becca after that one early morning when I ran into them and since I hadn't been to school I didn't have to deal with her there either.

This evening after I cleaned up at the house I went home to find my school work on my small mattress with a note saying that I could finish up what's needed then be done with school.

"Wow, I'm hated so much they don't even want me to come back to classes." I whispered as I read the note for a third time.

Shrugging, I grabbed the books then started working on everything. I woke to my alarm going off with papers spread around me, two books open to my side as I was sitting up against the wall.

When I stretched, things popped in places they had never popped before, but wow did it feel amazing. Pushing myself up a bit better I gathered all my work before putting it neatly in piles then forcing myself to stand as I grabbed my uniform from its hanger then got ready before heading over to the packhouse.

Today was Saturday so I did my deep cleaning before cleaning all the second floor bathrooms then making my way up to the Alphas quarters on the third floor.

I did my usual but when I went to Alpha Axel last he wasn't there, nor did he show up before I was finished. I left to make my way down to get the laundry all done. Sitting down in the laundry room I waited for everything to finish up before going back up with freshly cleaned linens, towels, and clothes for the Alpha Heir.

As I put everything away in their respected places I left to head down to the kitchen for clean up. When I entered the kitchen it was almost fully empty, I walked around to the dishes where I began gathering everything up before bringing it all towards to the sink for me to begin cleaning when I was stopped.

"Who said you were cleaning in here today?"

"I apologize, I have all week so I assumed..."

I had lowered my head, avoiding eye contact as the head Omega began speaking to me again.

"Well don't, unless told to you do your regular duties, now your food is in the microwave, eat then head home."

My eyes widened but I still didn't look up, just nodded my head before waiting for her to turn to walk away. After she turned hell I walked to the microwave grabbing my dinner as I found the little corner of mine before sitting down to eat.

It was dark for my walk home, but still only nine this evening, I will be able to work some on my homework as well as get some sleep tonight, or so I thought.

Before I reached home I saw eyes watching me, they were glowing when I watched the massive black wolf I'd spent my days with come out of the darkness to be visible to me.

My heart thumping loudly in my chest as I looked around to make sure I was alone before walking over towards the treeline.

The closer I got the more he backed further away into the woods until we were engulfed by the trees, the only light shining in here so that I could somewhat see was the bright moonlight seeping through small gaps from the trees above.

Honestly, it was beautiful, I never come out in the woods at night since I don't have my wolf yet, not having the heightened sight yet I steer clear. Here I am though, following a wolf into the woods that I'm not even sure of whom he may be.

"Where did you go?"

I whispered lowly, my anxiety starting to raise at being here alone at night surrounded by a pack that despises me, another reason I stay out of the woods at night, no one would protect me from a rogue getting to me.

Suddenly I felt fur brush against me from behind until he pushed his head down to my hand for me to stroke his face.

They way his fur slid through my fingers, how soft he felt, sent shivers down my spine but when he would nuzzle his nose into my neck and hair my skin pebbled instantly as I felt a rush of something inside of me making me want to clench my thighs together.

Somehow I was becoming aroused by this wolf, no one has ever done this to me, well except Alpha Axel when he was close to my body, but I mean, everyone wants an Alpha right? He looks like the God's made him from their image, to be the perfect specimen, then seeing him dripping wet with just that towel loosely hanging off his hips, wow.

Shaking those thoughts away I suddenly felt sparks rushing up my arm making me pull back as I stumbled backwards over ome of the big tree roots until I fell, hard, onto my rear end making me whimper from the pain as it shot through my body from the impact.

"Ow, mmmmm." Seemed those were the only coherent sounds I could make when the wolf came to push me up. I felt a sharp sting to look down to see my leg had been cut open, blood dripping down making me wince from the look and pain from it.

The wolf came closer to me, going to my leg when he began licking the wound making me squeal as I tried to push him off of me but he growled deeply sending a vibration through my body as he continued, the sparks mixed with the pain were intense until all I felt were the sparks.

The pain dulled, then when he stopped lapping at me and moved I could see the cut had closed, just a faint, very faint white line was there showing that I definitely had the cut there.

"You... you healed me? You helped me?" He just looked at me as his frame towered over me.

"I don't understand why you are kind to me. I don't deserve kindness from here. But, thank you, thank you so much. You've made this past week the best I've had since I was thirteen."

I felt the tears slipping down my cheeks when the wolf laid down placing his head on me as he whimpered as if he was in pain.

"Are you hurt? Did making me better hurt you?"

He just pushed his head further into me before he sniffed between my legs again making me blush.

"You aren't supposed to do that you know, it's personal for mates."
