Chapter Forty Two

I wake up with a headache. The sunlight streams brightly through the window and I groan audibly. Still very groggy, I stumble up and yank the curtains closed. When I glance at the clock, I see that it's just a few minutes past 8. The first sliver of happiness for the day runs through me as I remember that I'm not obligated to turn up for work today. All my work in the Galaxy partakes to the product and it's just been launched. I still make a mental note to contact the PR team today to ask how the launch is going though. I fall back on the bed, a small smile on my face. When we arrived last night, Alex and I had barely said a word to each other before we went our seperate ways.
