MITCH CHESTER

HE WAITED FOR the next few minutes, wondering what Lorna was doing. He was about to call for her again but a door behind him opened and Enrique sauntered into the sitting room. He scoffed as he saw Mitch and said, “When did you decide to get out of bed?“

Mitch shrugged and went to the shelf, peering into them to see what mysterious plant they held.

“Some of those things can affect you through their scent,“ Enrique drawled. “I would be careful how I sniff them if I were you.“

Mitch took a step away and went to the window.

“I negotiated a pretty good deal with the council,“ Enrique said again. “Your werewolf Luna is not a good politician. She was lucky to have me there.“

Mitch chuckled dryly. He remembered that the last time he and his uncle were in this place, the house had been on fire and they were out for each other’s throats.

“We are all lucky to have Anna amongst us,“ Mitch said in a low growl. “You would be wise to remember that next time.“

VORENUS KNEW THAT something was wrong as soon as he got to the mansion and he didn't see Vladimir anywhere. He knew that Vladimir was already suspicious of him since their last meeting. He had noticed that Vladimir watched his facial expression and every movement. It was then that Vorenus knew he had to trade carefully or risk having his heart ripped out savagely."Where is Vladimir?" He asked as Bartholomew came in, wiping his hands with a thick towel."Master Vladimir did not tell me where he was going before he left," the butler said. "But I don't think he went very far. He will be back soon."Vorenus nodded and went to the minibar, where he poured a glass of Scotch and drained it in one gulp. "When did he leave?" Vorenus asked in what he hoped was a calm voice.Bartholomew shrugged and said, "I do not know, sir. But he did not leave by the front door. I think he went with the shadows."Vorenus nodded. That had further confirmed his thoughts. Vladimir was not anywhere close. He had

MITCH CHESTER AFTER MITCH MET with Lorna, he was happier, and his mind was lighter. He felt strong enough to go about his normal duties to the joy of his mate and Beta.He was seated in his office, going through the stats from how his companies were performing when Draco came in.“I don’t know if I should be glad you are back up,” Draco muttered. He reached for a bottle of whiskey and started to pour it into two glass cups, but he stopped and placed the whiskey back on the shelf. Then he took two bottles of water and handed one to Mitch.Mitch cocked his head as he looked at the bottle.“I’m staying away from alcohol for now,” Draco muttered.“Still having nightmares from what Hilda did to you,” Mitch chuckled.Draco laughed. “She did not - you know what? It’s pointless arguing with you.” He unscrewed the bottle and added. “But you should know, we will not be drinking any alcohol until further notice.”Mitch snorted and said, “Yeah, right.” But he drank the bottle of water. “What ar

MITCH CHESTER DAYS WERE SHORT, and the sun set very quickly around these times up in the mountain. By 6 p.m., it was already dark, and everyone would start retreating into their houses for the evening. Mitch was alone in his office, about to go to the dining room for dinner when his cell phone rang. Frowning because it was a private number that was not accessible to the public, he checked the caller ID and saw that it was an unknown caller. He picked up the call and put it to his ear, "Mitch Chester," He said. The call was silent for a second and then the gruff voice that Mitch immediately recognized spoke. "Mitchell, my good old friend.""Damian Gray," Mitch sneered. "How lovely it is to hear from you."Damian Gray snorted and said, "You have changed. I was expecting to have heard the news that my man was dead as soon as he stepped into your pack.""I have grown," Mitch said."Grown weak perhaps," Damian muttered.Mitch smiled. He was used to this sort of prodding. It was usual for

"The dinner was not so bad," she said as she went to the bathroom for a quick shower."Yeah, right," Mitch said. "Charles is one annoying son of a bitch!" He cursed. The bathroom door opened and Anna poked her head out. "Keep it down. The children might hear that."Mitch scoffed. "The walls are thick."She rolled her eyes and said, "But still... watch the language." She went back into showering.Mitch lay on the bed and crossed his ankles. "You know it's the truth." He said, folding his hands behind his head. "And you want to curse at him too... but you can't."Anna came out, squeezing her hair with a towel. "You are right. He is... all those things." She sat down at her cosmetic table and blow-dried her hair properly. "But that does not mean you should cu

ANNA KYLIN CHESTERI WOKE UP feeling elated and happy. My wolf, Ava, was purring contentedly in my head. "You're in a good mood this morning," I said to her. She chuckled and replied, "Like you aren't."I reached across the bed, expecting to touch Mitch, but his space was empty and cold. I opened my eyes and sat up. Even though I knew Mitch was an early morning person, it still bothered me when he disappeared randomly on some mornings. I stretched my legs and yawned, feeling a slight ache between my legs. I smiled as I remembered the feeling of Mitch's hard thrusts and explosive orgasm.I laid back on Mitch's side of the bed and pulled the covers over my head, enjoying his scent. Just when I was about to drift away to sleep again, Mitch's voice drifted into my head through the mindlink."You awake?" He asked softly. "I am, now," I replied, sitting up. "You were gone when I woke up.""Yes, I had something to check out quickly." He explained "Dress up. There is someone I want you to m

ANNA KYLIN CHESTERI WAS ALMOST done packing my bags when I heard Mitch come into the bedroom chambers. He leaned against the doorframe and I felt his stare. I turned and saw him looking at me. "What?" I asked. He sighed and came to sit down beside me. "I do not want to impose on you, but I would very much like it if you don't leave the kingdom." He said. I touched his hand."I know you are smart enough to make your own decisions, but..." He sighed again."I know how you feel," I said. "But I have to be there for Reine. She has been there for me countless times."He nodded. "I know that." He reached into the closet and helped me fold some clothes to put into my traveling bag. "I have arranged a chopper that would take you from the kingdom to the pack.""Thank you," I told him. Using a helicopter for the journey might seem extravagant, but it reduces the risk of running into danger significantly. "Your vampire was not bad," I said. Vorenus seemed to me like a very stoic man guided by

ANNA KYLIN CHESTERA QUICK HOUR later, I could begin to form out the structures that made the Red Moon pack. "We will be landing in a minute," the pilot said. I gave him a thumbs-up to signify that I heard. I looked out the window. I could make out the packhouse. The house where I had grown up, fallen in love, and also got discarded like thrash. But now, I was returning as a well respected guest. I chuckled slightly."It seems like your arrival is long-awaited, Luna," Alphonso said.I nodded. I could see the number of people waiting on the ground and waving as we flew by. The pilot hovered for a few seconds in the yard in front of the pack house before slowly, we descended and he shut the engine. The blades were still spinning as Alphonso pushed the door and jumped out with agility. He extended his hand to help me down carefully.I tucked a strand of my hair as I stepped down at the land of my birth. Alphonso reached into the helicopter again and extracted our bags. ANNA KYLIN CHESTER"HAVE YOU HAD breakfast?" Reine asked as she got up from the bed.I vaguely remembered that I had left the kingdom this morning; I had not had a bite to eat. I shook my head and Reine grinned. "Allow me to serve you." She said. We both walked to the dining room and I took my seat. I looked around for Alphonso, who was nowhere in sight, but Reine said, "Don't worry about your guard," she brought in a small tray and placed it on the table. "I'm sure he is fine. Maybe just outside the packhouse, keeping watch."I smiled at her without saying anything, but I mindlinked, "Alphonso. Tell me you are alive."His chuckle came through immediately and he said. "I am still alive, Luna. Do you need help with anything?" I considered asking him to come inside, but I shook my head. "No. You can stay there if you're not hungry. I am having breakfast.""I have eaten already, ma'am." He said. "I will stay out here."Reine sat down opposite me and nibbled on the food on her plate. "

FIVE MONTHS LATER,I RUB my belly fondly. It has become a subconscious habit of mine since the belly bump sprouted. On some nights, I wake up from the nightmares and horrors of being locked up in the prison underground. It has been 5 months already, but the remnants of what we lost were still vivid. Every fallen warrior was given a befitting burial. After the death of the vampires, Paige started having recurring dreams of her lost memories. I had Lorna suppress it again. i also had Lorna wipe out the memory of Janet the mistress, now she was a servant in the palace... "Are we almost there yet?" Addison asked from the back seat. Mitch grunted. "Almost." I turn and look at him. The scar he had gotten from the battle that ran across his eyes was now white, it was healing well. The cut missed his eyes by less than an inch, but the scar added to his dangerous look. I reach out and touch his hand. He turns and looks at me, but I can not decipher what is going on in his head as his eyes

Arranging the warriors for battle on such short notice was not an easy feat as most of his warriors were not familiar with guns, but he had made them ready and prepped for battle under a few hoursHe grunted as a vampire sank his fang into his arm. He growled grabbed the vampire by its head and slammed it into the ground."Keep your head in the fight, Mitch," Draco snapped. "Don't die when she is just a few feet away."Mitch chuckled. He turned and looked at his mate again. She was holding her own well against the vampires surrounding her and Alphonso."Do these things ever finish?" Mitch asked, looking around at the vampires still swarming over the field."We have to take out the elder vampires, or Vladimir himself," Draco said, stabbing a vampire dead on the floor. He shook his spear loose and lo

I saw Lorna clench her jaws in pain as Agatha squeezed her blood into a cup, which she mixed with some herbs and gave to Vladimir. He drank it all in one gulp. Dark red veins streaked up his neck, and his eyes went bloodshot. She walked to me and added, “I will offer the life of the reincarnated grand witch, Annika, and use it to bind the soul of the vampire king, giving him immense power and immunity to the mountain ash wood…““I heard her raise her hand. The air stretched with tension, and time seemed to slow down. I opened my eyes, expecting to see my life flash before my eyes, bu

ANNA KYLIN CHESTER“COME HERE!“ THE grating of the cell on its hinges made me look up. One of the vampires was on the other side. She reached in and pulled me out harshly. My knees scraped the rough floor; I bit my lips to keep the pain in. Another one reached in and tried to grab Lorna but gasped in pain, pulling back immediately. “I will come out myself,“ Lorna said coolly. “But try to touch me again, and it will be the last thing you ever do.“ The vampire stared daggers at her but did not move to grab her again. She cradled her hand, rubbing it fondly. Lorna must have secured herself with some sort of spell. “And you will unhand the Luna immediately too.“ Lorna said in a cold voice to the vampire who had her fingers wrapped tightly on my upper arm. The vampire looked uncertain, but she saw the cold and threatening look on Lorna's face. I was also shocked, but it did the trick. The vampire released me. “Where are we going?“ Lorna asked, but I could guess already. “It is time for

THE FIGHT WAS OVER almost as quickly as it started. We did not stand a chance against Vladimir and he was already getting empowered by the forthcoming blood moon. Lorna was sprawled on the floor, blood seeped from her mouth and her back was twisted in an unnatural angle. I was on my feet, but it was threatening to give way any second. And Vladimir? He did look like he had done anything. No sweat. No hair out of place. He had his sinister smile plastered on his face as he walked towards me. He stopped a few feet away and brushed my cheek with his icy-cold fingers. “Your last few hours should have been enjoyable, Annika.“ he said softly. “But instead, you let that witch,“ he turned and looked at Lorna before he continued, “...to spoil it. ANNA KYLIN CHESTERI SAT UP in my bed, my heart was racing, and adrenaline surged as my wolf leaped to the surface, enhancing my vision, but I could not still make out the shape of the person in my room. I was about to jump through the door, not minding that I would alert the whole mansion, but I felt a pair of fingers wrap around my upper arm. Gasping in shock, I turned sharply, trying to wrestle my arm away from the stranger's grip, but to no avail. I am being attacked by two people, I thought anxiously to myself. I started to yell, but the person holding me stepped out of the shadows and my scream died in my throat."Lorna?!" I gaped. She put a finger to her lip to keep me silent. Then she cocked her head. I swung my legs out of the bed. My mind was spinning with imagination. I still felt like I was in a dream. I reached out and touched her. She was real."Quickly," she said to me. She muttered some words under her breath and the lock in the door snapped apart. The door opened

He had no doubts that it was because his mate was still out there in danger, his son was lying in bed, unconscious and blind, and his kingdom was on the brink of civil war.He paced the length of the room anxiously, his eyes drifting into the dancing fireplace as he walked past. A small knock came at the door. “Come in,“ he called. The door opened, and Draco came in. He took a look around the small, almost empty room and shook his head, saying, “You are still sleeping here.“Mitch chuffed and nodded, “I can't stay in the master chambers alone. Anna should be with me.“Draco nodded and said, “I understand that, but…“ He looked around again. “I am sure you can do better than a tiny room.
