Felza’s POV.

The line kept going through my mind. Rhys, one of our pack members has betrayed us. His eyes looked like they went right through me, as if I were the one who had been lied to. But I wasn't. It wasn't me who was against Rhys.

Was mine? With my heart racing, I stood there as the stress in the room got too much to bear. Rhys looked at Eric and me while he closed his mouth and clenched his hands together. His eyes asked the same thing, even though he didn't say anything.

Was I the traitor's agent? Felza, The last thing Rhys said was in a low, angry voice. "Did you keep something from me?" What he said was very sharp. It was really hard for me to come out. Still, it wasn't because they hated them.

Survival was what it was here. I battled to construct a reply and my breath stuck in my throat. Though I could not let it out, the truth was a tempest inside me ready to explode. Not at the moment.

Not as desired. "I'm not the traitor," I said, my voice faltering. Rhys, you reall

Felza POV. Standing outside Rhys' room, I felt the weight of the air pushing down on me. Every stride I had taken to reach here seemed weighty, as though I were dragging the whole past behind me. Everything changed the once Eric came out with Isabelle's treachery. Now split, on the brink of anarchy, the pack teetered and I stood in the middle of it all, not sure which side would draw me first. But it was mine, not only the fate of the pack at risk. It was Rhys's. I paused then went to knock on the door. A thousand ideas tore over my brain. Should I share all with Rhys? If I did, Sebastian would find out and I understood the fallout from betraying him. My life might be lost over it. Still, keeping secrets was separating me from all Rhys and I had gone through. No matter how hard you tried to bury the truth, it had a way of surfacing. I took a long breath then knocked. The door opened virtually immediately to show Rhys, dark and stormy eyes. He appeared as though he hadn't slept in

Felza’s POVThe battle was very tensed and something had to be done. After contemplating for what seemed like almost half an hour,Rhys decided to make his greatest sacrifice and spare ten pack members. It was a huge sacrifice but it was very essential and timely. It was almost too much to bear that Rhys had betrayed them. As I stood by the window of his room and looked out at the stars, I could hear his angry words. Long shadows were cast by the moon over the pack's grounds, and the cold air matched the cold space between us. My lies were so big that they were making it hard for me to breathe. It made Rhys feel hurt, angry, and let down. Even though he tried to hide it with a cold professional face, I could see it in his eyes. He had a low growl in his voice that was so angry it could split the world in two. He had every reason to be mad at me. To keep myself safe, I had kept so much from him that I wasn't able to protect the pack. Eric's warning about Marcus and the attack that

Felza’s POV. Before I could reply, a sudden commotion erupted from the edge of the camp. People were screaming, and there was a sense of panic in the air. Rhys and I exchanged worried looks and rushed toward the source of the disturbance. As we approached, I saw a figure rising from the shadows. It was Isabelle, her face pale and filled with fear. She yelled, "Rhys!" and her voice broke. "I need to talk to you." No time to waste. Rhys's face showed a mix of anger and shock. Question: Isabelle, why are you here? After everything—” Isabelle spoke up, her voice shaking, "I know." "I believe I have lied to you, but please understand this." Marcus is making a much worse plan. He was talking about a gun, and I heard him. Something that could destroy everything. It was like getting hit in the gut by the news. Something? What could Marcus be up to that would be so terrible? Rhys's face showed a lot of different feelings. "Why should I believe you?" After everything—” Isabelle begged,

Felza’s POV. A second time, the door flew open before I could answer. The person this time was Rhys. He stopped in his tracks when he saw Axel and I standing so close. Before he walked into the room, his green eyes turned dark with worry, and he clenched his teeth. “What's going on here?" Rhys barked, and his whispery voice was scary. After turning around to face Rhys, Axel stood still. "I want to offer my help in the fight against Marcus." "What else?" After growling, Rhys looked at me and then back at Axel. "I know you didn't just come here for that," she told me. You were strong, Axel. "You're right." So Felza knows she has other options, I came here. Feeling angry and not trusting anyone made it hard to see what was in front of you. Rhys's eyes were red from anger, but they also showed fear. Fear that Axel might be right. In case he loses me. I said, "Now is not the time for this," but my tone was meaner than I meant it to be. "We need to fight a war." He's getting ready to a

Felza’s POV. “This is going well for you,” he said in a low, forced voice. I was surprised and blinked. That Rhys was talking to me at all was a surprise because he didn't say nice things very often. "I'm just doing what I need to do," I said in a calm voice. He seemed to be having trouble deciding what to say next. "Feliz... I—" Before he could finish, though, a loud, scary howl cut through the air. It was Marcus here. Chaos broke out in an instant. Battle cries and gunshots filled the night as Marcus's forces attacked the camp. Ready to fight, I drew my knife with a racing heart. Rhys was already running at the enemy. As he cut through the oncoming wolves, his body moved in a way that was very dangerous. I was right behind them and cut and dove as Marcus's men charged at us. Blood smelt and sounded like dogs howling in the air. I could feel the energy rushing through my body. It made me more alert and motivated to fight faster and harder. But I had a bad feeling that something was

Chapter 40. Felza’s POV. "Dear Rhys, I would never betray you. I promise. While he was thinking about whether to believe me or not, Rhys just stared at me with his eyes moving back and forth between mine. Soon after, he grabbed me and held me close to his chest without notice. It was peaceful for a short time, though. Rhys was tensed up under me when Marcus laughed loudly. Marcus laughed sarcastically and said, "Well, this is touching." "But nothing will change." It's still breaking down your pack, and Bluemoon will be mine by the end of the night. Before he could face Marcus, Rhys let go of me and stood up. His face turned serious. "I won't let that happen if I have my way." As he got ready to charge, though, there was a sudden howl that was scarier and louder than anything I had ever heard. As we all turned to see what was making the noise, the air around us seemed to still. For a moment, we forgot about the fight. A huge person stepped out of the shadows of the trees into the

Rhys POV. The whole room was tense and heavy, and I could feel that everyone was looking at me, waiting for me to make a choice. As I stood there and looked across the table at Axel Hart, my stomach turned. His eyes were steady and calm, but I could feel the burning resolve beneath the surface. It was clear that he wasn't just here for the pack. He was there for her. Felza. The name kept going through my mind, making me feel things I didn't want to deal with. Anger. Traitor. Not sure. It was still hard for me to forget how she had jumped in front of me when Marcus attacked. I was saved by her. But why? To show something? Or because she really cared? I lost track of time. The quiet was broken when Axel cleared his throat. "Rhys, let's get going. Marcus and Sebastian are moving more quickly than we thought they would. Both of our packs are in danger if we don't work together now. Even though his speech was steady, I could tell it was important. He was right. It hurt me that he was rig

Felza’s POV. I was not able to breathe. Every stride seemed like an assault on my own body. Though I could not stop, my limbs cried for rest. Not now. I had to return the Bluemoon pack to Rhys. I hardly felt the icy wind bit at my skin. From my end, the suffering was more severe. I touched my hand to the wound Sebastian's guards left, the warm blood oozing through my fingers, but I lacked time to consider it. Keep going, I murmured to myself. "You'll almost be there." My vision faded in and out as the trees blurring around me eventually smelt the familiar Bluemoon pack territory. I felt a weird mix of relief and terror. Rhys would respond as follows. Even listen to me, would he? all all that transpired, all the secrets, lies, would he even want me close by? I staggered ahead, the ground whirling underfoot. The packhouse started to show, but I collapsed before I could get another step. Darkness surrounded me and drew me under. ---- The agony greeted me first when I woke. Sharp, bli

Felza pov... It was too quiet at night. It hurt my chest when I sneaked out of the camp and left the safety of the pack behind. I knew that what I was doing was dangerous. Rhys would be mad if he knew I was leaving without him to meet Adira, but I had to do it right away. I needed to know why there was going to be war. As I went deeper into the forest, the trees grew closer to me. Long, creepy shadows were cast by the moonlight that barely touched the ground. I could feel how heavy the trees were against me, but I was determined to keep going. Even with everything going on, I had to think that there was still a chance to stop the killing before it started. Fear was beating through my body, but I couldn't show it. I finally got to the clearing where we had agreed to meet. There was a lot of stress in the air, and I could smell dirt and pine. As I looked around, my heart rate went up with each second. At least for now, I was by myself. I heard a rustle in the woods and turned my at

I heard soft rustle outside our den just as the light was beginning to come on. My heart pounded in my chest as I sat up and hugged the blanket closer. Last night's conversation with Axel still weighed on me like a cloud, and I couldn't get rid of the stress that was running through me. Luna turned around next to me and made a fist with her small hand. I smiled even though worry was making me feel bad. She was perfect, a tribute to the hope we had fought so hard to protect. It kept coming back to me that Axel was being careful. Sebastian was missing something, and I knew that our unity was in danger. Rhys walked up to me and put his arm around my waist to protect me. He said, "You're awake early," but his voice was heavy with sleep. I agreed and bit my lip. What Axel said kept going through my mind. "Are you really sure Sebastian is still a threat?" Rhys sat up, and his face was stiff. Dear Felza, we can't rule out the chance. Today isn't about him, though. We should pay attention

Setting his hand on my shoulder, he remarked, "Felza, you're doing great." "Do you estimate it would take this long?" As I asked, my voice shook. Every day I felt as though waves were constantly crashing over me. They were relentless and robust. He said, "It's normal," even though I could sense panic in his eyes. "Just exhale deeply." The air was charged with expectation. After all the upheaval with Sebastian and Lisa, it felt as though a thin thread was holding our future together at this time. Following all our group had gone through, a fresh life was just about to begin. It pointed to renewal and hope. Suddenly I felt a larger and more forceful wave. "Rhys! I gasped and seized his hand. "Something is happening!" His Alpha reflexes started and he moved right away. "All right, hold back." "I'll get the healer." "Please never leave me!" I cried out terrified. The agony was so severe that I needed him close-by. "I won't," he responded, his voice steady despite its significance. "Ri

The days after Lisa's shocking disclosure whirled with mixed feelings and planning. Uncertainty hovered in the air like a dense cloud as the Bluemoon Pack started to heal. Already we had lost so much; all I could hope was that we wouldn't have to lose more. One afternoon Rhys remarked, "Felza, we need to talk," dragging me away in the clearing. His eyes were austere, and my heart started to speed. That was a heavy talk, and I started to prepare. About what? Trying to keep my voice calm, I asked. "About us," he said, raking a hand through his hair, a sign I knew indicated he was anxious. " About the baby." I nodded, the image of our child overwhelming me with a mixture of delight and fear. "What would you want to say?" His determined voice added, "I want us to be stronger together." Though I understand things have been difficult, I want to repair what we lost. Do you truly believe we can? I bit my lip and asked. "After all the suffering... all the pain?" Rhys moved forward and gra

Tension filled the air as I stood among the wreckage of our fight. The woods, which used to bring happiness and safety, look heavy with loss. Sebastian was not there, but his shadow stayed with my pack. When I looked around, I could tell their eyes were tired. Even though it cost a lot, we made it through. His voice was low and tense as he said, "Felza, we need to keep moving." I could feel his stress as I looked at the broken pieces of our fight. We can't keep thinking about what we've lost. "I know," I said, getting my strength together. But it hurts to see everyone act this way. I waved to the other people in our pack. Their faces were worn with sadness and weariness. Rhys walked over and put a soft hand on my shoulder to comfort me. We will rebuild. That's the way we need to think. His words should have made me feel better, but doubt danced in my chest like a candle spark. "What if we couldn't?" It was whispers from me, and my voice was shaking. "What if we cannot go on?" He

Rhys's Victory The ground was chaos, with lots of fur and claws moving around. I felt my heart race as I watched Rhys and Sebastian fight. The tension in the air cracked like a live wire. I could hear every snarl and growl along with the fights going on around me. However, all I could think about was Rhys, who was tall and mean, facing the danger that was hovering above us. "El Felza, stay back!" Rhys yelled, and his voice was rough and strong. I could see how hard he was trying to stay calm, but I couldn't just stand there. Not now. Not when he needs me. "No!" I yelled back, and my voice was loud enough to be heard over the noise. "I refuse to let you face him by yourself!" Sebastian laughed in a nasty way, and his eyes were filled with disgust. "Look at you, Rhys" . So eager to protect your pack, but everyone else is weak. You can't win! At that moment, something inside me broke. I couldn't let Sebastian get to him; he was poisoning Rhys's mind. I pushed through the chaos with

There's war coming As I stood next to Rhys, my heart was racing and the air was heavy with hope. The cries of Sebastian's warriors could be heard across the valley, a sobering warning that the battle was about to begin. I looked at Rhys. His eyes were fixed and his jaw was tight. He was the Alpha, even though I could feel the divide of the pack coming down on him. "Felza, stay close," he told her in a quiet but firm voice. I could hear the worry that was hidden under his strength—the worry that he would lose me and our child—in his words. I said, "I will," but fear was getting tight in my stomach. I felt so small and weak, especially since I was pregnant. I really wanted to be free, but the thought of fighting Sebastian's troops scared me to death. As the group got ready for the meeting, I saw them split into two groups: those who were dedicated to Rhys and those who were talking about how he had let Lisa into our lives. Rhys was doing his best, but it looked like nothing was good

The Pack's Split From the edge of the training area, I could see the Bluemoon Pack getting ready for an emergency meeting. My stomach sagged from fear and worry as my heart pounded in my chest. The shadows of doubt were like a storm cloud over us. They were dark and scary. The bonds of trust were fraying like old rope in our pack, and Lisa was now leaning on Sebastian. I could tell Rhys was working hard because he was in front of everyone else. His tall frame gave off an air of strength. His green eyes, which are usually sharp and demanding, looked cloudy with doubt all of a sudden. I could also feel it—the tension in the air and the whispers among the pack members. Some people questioned his leadership, especially since our child was there. When Axel got close to me and said, "Felza," His blue eyes looked right into mine. "You should talk to Rhys. They are leaving him. It was hard for me to think straight. "What if he can't lead us anymore?" "What if they're right?" "Felza, you

Felza pov... I could still feel his arms around me. His warmth helped me feel grounded and gave me a short-term escape from the chaos going on inside me. But deep down, I knew that comforting myself wouldn't change the truth: something was going to happen. It wasn't just the baby either. The faraway howls made their meaning clear. There was trouble coming, and it was getting closer faster than either of us wanted to admit. "I'm not leaving you, Rhys," I said again, this time with more force. It was getting harder for me to hold on to the fear that had been bothering me just moments before. I wasn't going to hide in the dark while everything around us fell apart. He spoke softly, his eyes soft with worry, "Felza, you're pregnant." I need you to be safe. What if something happens... "I need to be here if something happens," I said. Together. For us. For the group. Something flashed in his eyes—maybe pride?—but it was quickly replaced by the same tightness that had been there since h
