Scared Man

It happened pretty quickly. Before her eyes, Elinor could not prepare herself to even move to her feet and act. She froze, and could only stare down her feet where Suzanne was.

Covered in mud, her brown hair was in a total mess from its once neatly tied bun. She lift her upper body to the ground to check her elbows which were swelling and were grazed.

“You have gone so quiet, what is it?” Bonnie said to her earlier when they were still up on the balcony, she had just turned her back so as not to see the meeting between Colin and Suzanne.

“It is nothing, Bon. I was just thinking about the twins,” she said. It was not entirely a lie. She did worry about them all the time. But she left the part where she felt a heavy pull tugging at her heart seeing Colin and Sue.

Bonnie’s face was unreadable most of the time, but at that time, her nose crinkled at Elinor. She saw her look over her shoulder and then looked at her again.
