Killian stepped ahead of me, leaving me breathless and in shock.

I hadn't realized rumors could spread so swiftly within our pack. Who could it have been? Who overheard our conversation with Alpha Cosma?

Returning to the Alpha's command center, I was greeted by Alpha Cosma's broad smile.

"Never mind, you seem occupied," I snapped, eyeing the glittering dresses in her office.

"No, no, no. It's actually wonderful you're here! We've been invited to an event by the Lycan royalty. It's a celebration party."

"A celebration of what?" I inquired, my gaze fixed on the glamorous dresses and scattered makeup on the table.

"The celebration of our contract! You must attend because Lycan Steven is eager to meet you!"

I exhaled deeply. "I can't. I have training."

"Today is your day off, Nathalie."
