“No way in absolute hell are you going alone with that bastard.”

Hayden’s voice echoes through the tent as Elise tells him of her agreement with Rygan. He was more than livid that she had agreed to go along with him to the human lands.

“Hayden, after all I’ve been through, do you think I'd even want to be in that situation? But with the circumstances right now, I have to get Ethan back!” She argues with a soft caress to his face.

“You have taught me all there is to know about human attacks and their weapons; I can handle it, Hayden,” she assures.

“Then I will be going with you,” he argues as he lifts his hands to hold onto her wrist and presses a deep kiss to her palm. “I have to go with you,” he calls with a desperate tone.

“You are wounded, Hayden, as pale as a ghost, and I know bits of the poison are still inside your blood. I also have to find a viable antidote to help cure you.“
