“Let’s just focus on our date,” Elise called with a tight-lip smile. Kaide had tried to get her to talk about what was bothering her, but she brushed it off with a smile. They walked down the bridge leading to the pack's town, and Elise focused on letting her nerves go; she still had a tinge of apprehension as to how the pack would react to seeing her. Elise had been captivated by the solstice stars. Starstruck was the word Elise could use for this moment. The way the stars aligned like a narrow magical road was so peaceful, as everyone was in awe around her. It was perfect—maybe in her little bubble.
