A perfect reunion

The feeling of victory had never felt so deserving as this: Kyren was dead, and the prisoners were now free. They watched as the girls rejoiced, and Lorraine, with the other females, thanked Rygan and Elise for coming to their rescue.

With all the Dark Night wolves surrendering, it was clear they’d won this battle without a bloody war, and now it was time to care for the wounded. Elise used her powers, healing the people she could so they could be ready for the journey to the Calhan pack.

She feels the weight of relief on her shoulders that sagged, watching all the innocent prisoners taken out of the cells, families and lovers reuniting, and ready to head back to their home, and she was sure Lorraine was more than eager to go see Nora.

Her heart pangs when she recalls the state of the Silver Night pack; there was nothing left there unless they rebuilt. It would take a while before buildings would stand.
